The team were awesome and friendly and helpful. Our waiter didn’t smell great. The food was delicious. But the place lacks good feels and vibe. The toilets don’t look great.

Arrived and filled in the necessary Covid formalities. Then sat at sushi bar and placed a order. Since only 1 sushi chef working we waited 30min..but finally when our food arrived I was rather impressed in the quality and quantity of the sushi preparation done. It was above my expectations but also not the best sushi I have tasted.

Best fish restaurant in the country.This brand needs more aggressive branding and marketing. Our country is missing our in a good thing.

This place has the best Prawn curry Ive had so far. The seafood is fresh and cooked really well.There is a bit of a wait for the food - but it was well worth it.

We had a terrible experience, as the waiter placed my husbands meal down there was this very long hair on his plate. He just wanted to take it off because he did not want to complain but come on this in itself is just super gross! I ended up sharing my meal with my husband as it was closing time. There was no way he was going to consume food with hair in it. In utter shock and disbelief I flagged the waiter and showed him what we found as he put the meal down. I took a snap of it. I happened to wear a ponytail that evening so it was not my hair. It could also not possibly be mine as I was not close to the waiter for that matter. As he put it down it was there!!! He then called the manager, who said she really does not know how that hair got there. She had very very long hair and no net. So go figure! She implied that it was my hair. She offered to replace the meal free of charge however it was charged to our bill... by this time they offered to make a fresh meal. When we arrived home the meal was not fresh. I tasted it and can confirm the beef was not fresh. It was probably a special order they compensated with 2 free sodas which we did not request. I left mine as Im not a soda lover. The manager said she wont charge but I did not want to argue with the waiter as he insisted the sodas are free. Safer to prepare your own meals at home! All staff should be wearing hair nets!!! Gross experience 🤢

Fabulous food, stays open later than most restaurants in the mall and even though I know they sigh when they see me approaching they try really hard not too show their disappointment. 😊 I usually stretch my shopping expedition until the very last minute of trading and then quickly run up to the top floor food court where I know I wont be shown away because their kitchen is: Sorry, already closed mam when in actual fact they really arent that sorry at all 😁.Thank goodness for Capetown Fish Market and their ever so faithful staff members for great food, a light and airy ambiance in a relaxed environment just to enjoy a cool beverage, catch that much needed breath and a soothing break for my tired feet after a strenuous hour or two of shopping. It can get quite competitive out there in the field you know 😉 🕉️

Service was lacking and very slow. Some of our guests got their food early and then they were sitting waiting for the other guests food to come to the table, while their food was getting cold. Drinks were ordered but also took long to come from bar. We had a lovely meal, thank you and made the most out of it. Just disappointed in the service we received.

My waiter was non existent and when we did call him he would take really long to return.We ordered a kiddies hake and chips for my 4 year old which had a lot of bones, big and small and when complaining to the manager his response was ok. We had to break and smash the fish to ensure that she does not get hurt again while eating. My 4 year old was not impressed either.My sushi eventually arrived and was served with no bowl for the sauce or sticks - I firstly had to wait really long to get the attention of our waiter only to be told to hold on he will get it and then took a while again!My husband ordered grilled hake but was served a different fish. The waiters response - the kitchen said its hake so it must be hakeWe requested waters when we initially got there and at no point did our waiter offer or request our drinks order - through all the events we were too annoyed to even ask and just wanted to leave as soon as possible

I had the Lamb Shank for lunch and it was delicious. The service is fast. The food is great. It is nice that they offer a wide selection of sides, especially vegetables. I am never disappointed by the food here.The bar also has a huge collection of spirits. It would be hard to find places with a wider selection.

Usually like this restaurant. On my last visit our waiter gave us no attention. Our meals came and different times and certain things were left off that we had ordered. If things are super busy I advise that one waiter get help. As we were not feeling loved at all 😒

Did not enjoy my meal. Quantity was very small, almost no rice in a 2 person platter... Tiny fish that was partially burnt and food was not hot when it was brought. Crayfish was also very small for what was quoted. Will not be visiting again.Update: after being asked to reply to their complaints board I still have not heard back from there... Quite upsetting service all round

Excellent cookies and cream milkshake with a shot of amarula. Sushi starter was to die for. All food including mains were delivered within minutes of ordering. Helpful waiter. Meat was cooked to perfection. Calamari was so tasty. Very happy customer.

It was rather early. Not too many patrons then, so we needed not worry re infecting us. There was enough air from beyond the windows. Waiters were very friendly and helpful. The fish was of a high quality and of superb taste. We do go there quite regularly. We were completely at ease and satisfied with the meal which was quite modest re the price. We can only recommend the restaurant.

Absolutely awful service!. We were shown to our table, tried for 25 minutes to wave down a waiter to place drinks order. So we got up and left, when I informed the manager he simple said I can help you now! This place will not see me again!

Restaurant applied COViD protocols strictly but still handled our difficult group with politeness. Felt Covid-safe in this environment. Good food and service as always

Slow service, waiting for nearly an hour and still no drinks. Horrible hospitality.There was also a hair in the ginger and wasabi. The cutlery was also dirty. No one apologised for anything. Don’t go to this restaurant.

We were quickly seated, and assigned a well experienced and friendly waiter. Food was good, place was clean and service was of good standard. We did not need to wait long for our food or drinks to arrive. Wouldnt recommend outside balcony seating - was rather dirty with cigarette buds, empty cigarette boxes and a couple of broken glass pieces on the roof visible to outside seating. Otherwise, fairly good restaurant.

A cockroach walked up on the seat next to my daughter but instead of apologizing they asked me if I wanted dessert or anything else before I pay my bill. Safe to say, Ill never go back

I came here on two occasions whilst I was at Century City and it was very good. I had the grilled calamari the first time with a glass of white wine (Fat Fish) and another time I had the deep fried hake and chips with a Pina-colada. Excellent on both occasions.

The place is clean and centrally located upstairs in the food court.Wait staff are friendly and courteous.Service is good without too long a wait.They have specials on certain days displayed on the menu.Quite a large restaurant overlooking an internal man-made canal.Food was fresh and adequate,although sushi was quite pricey.Overall good experience.

We were seated promptly on arrival with all the covid protocols being adhered to. The waiter was nice and the service was good. It was not our first time so I can safely say that the food was good. I will go again. We go because there is no pork served on the premises. It is definitely halaal friendly.

I enjoy their service and sushi. When I was pregnant and craving sushi but couldnt eat raw fish, they would tempura my options :) I particularly enjoy the cream cheese and prawn option (at the top of the pic). Best of all I never have to remember the names of any sushi I can just get my favourites off the belt :)

Been here quite a few times. A good restaurant for seafood. The sushi is also nice. They are a bit pricey compared to Ocean Basket. The Calamari pot and anything with prawns is a good option. They do also have some chicken and beef options on their menu. Not much for non-meat eaters. They are open a bit later than most other restaurants in the food court so you could still grab a bite after a late movie. Good service although they are a bit slow even when the restaurant has been quiet.

The burgers was amazing and the onion rings are the best!

Pains me to write this review, as a loyal CTFM fan for many years. Visited this branch today for my 10yr wedding anniversary and left very disappointed. Ordered the over priced sushi which we waited Eons for, only for our tempura sushi to be served 10mins after we had finished our initial serving. We had bypassed John Dorys who were at capacity to visit CTFM which was not busy at all, and yet we waited so long. Between this and the poor service and food at The Dros, Ill be spending my money at Panarottis the next time I visit canal walk,as they know good food and good service.

The Pokebowl is still our all-time favorite and still good value for money. Good food at affordable prices, decent wine list and prompt service makes us going back time after time

Table was dirty when we arrived. Food is a bit overpriced for the portion you get but overall was a good experience. Waitress was friendly and efficient.

Had the Steak and my friend had the fish curry. Service was a bit slow but the food was good.

Small portion of vegatables... literally 3 pieces of string beans 2 slices of marrow i cube of pumpkin and probably 10 carrot rings for R28 as a side..... it is not the managers fault as this is a franchise and they have to follow orders.... but this is ridiculous.......

Prawn pops- amazing, beef ribs- delicious, salmon-amazing

Went there on Sunday last week and service was good but we ordered one of the seafood platters and the fish cake tasted off. The manager took it to the kitchen to taste and to our surprised came back to let us know that it was fine and they had received a fresh batch from head office on Wednesday. Well done to the management and chefs for having such awesome palates for making foul smelling fish cakes turn into gourmet food. Wont be going back there since out palates are clearly not refined enough for the food being served.

Prives were terriable these guys are expensive. They dont deserve your money if they dont even have one dish under R100 npt even desert.2 glasses of coke sold at the price of 6l of coke retail
