This was the best steak I have had in a long time. We will definitely drive the extra distance to be back again.

We were in the mood for ribs, so we decided to give them a try. I had the beef and my wife had the pork. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. Not many places can get beef ribs right.If you like whisky then this is a nice place to go, Im even considering getting a whisky keep here.Only slight criticism is that the 600g beef rib portion looked a bit small.

Nice place, clean and quiet. Nice food, very tasteful. Value for money. they have a large menu and the waiters are very friendly. Need to book if you are going there in the evening but during the day its quiet.

As a Hospitality trainer, I always note the fine finishes and etiquette around the table..This restaurant impressed me in every aspect of service.The booking, greeting & seating, introduction, handing of the menu, taking the order and delivery of the food was expertly done.! The offering of the wine, opening and pouring was flawlessly done as well... Setting the mood for a good meal to be enjoyed, which it was.!Our meat dishes were perfectly prepared and cutlery was placed to the requirement of the order.I give 5* and recommend booking in advance as this is a very popular restaurant, with reason. 🍷

Went for lunch on Sunday and there was a power failure. 3 of us ordered the Chateau Briand only to be told that they could not warm the brandy to flambe the Chateau briand and the food was cold

Fantastic location, excellent service, awesome food, steak prepared exactly as requested. Had a table for myself and my wife on her birthday as a walk-in customer, as well as my 1 year old son made available on a soft seat in a quiet corner on a very busy night. The waiter was very young, but made great recommendations, I actually believe he has tasted the food he suggested to me. Beautiful romantic view of the waterfront area if you sit outside, as well as a well stocked bar just for chilling at. You can also purchase meat cuts for braai at home on the way out. Excellent service, highly recommend.

Best steak Ive had in a flippin long time!!!!The service was incredibly spectacular - the lady was amazing. From the way she recommended a meal up to serving you a drink, its superb. Shes always checking up on you - offering her service, totally not in a creepy way. Its a pity I couldnt didnt catch her name but would definetely point her out in a room full of hundreds 😄👌The meal was mouth-watering and exceeded my expectations - I wanted to try out something I havent had before, I went for the blackened pepper fillet with mash potatoes as a side; I promise you, youll never regret it. They complemented the meal with spinach, onion rings, and butternut. There were 8 of us and we were all raving about the awesome experience we had.Thank you guys for an amazing meal, service, atmosphere and great background music choice - that was very soft and relaxing by the way. Firstly they got our booking wrong. Then the managers attitude was soooo bad! She just said that she cannot help us and wasnt prepared to make a plan after her staff made the error. She couldnt even look us in the face while talking to us. She can learn a lot from her waiters with their friendly attitudes! We waited more than an hour for our food! The chef actually saved the evening by serving amazing food

Took my wife to dinner last night at The Cattle Baron Tyger Waterfront. Great location looking out over the water, Faith our waitress was so attentive to our every need, Deon the owner even came around to greet the customers. The food was exceptional, the actual restaurant clean and neat, toilet facilities fantastic, real value for money at arguably the finest restaurant in the Northern suburbs, well done to management & staff (5 STARS !!!!!)

Nice and spascious over looking the waterfront. Food tasty. When a big table be sure to place your food order with your starter to avoid long period of waiting.

Again, we had such a wonderful time at the Cattle Baron, we celebrated Mothers day there & she SO enjoyed it. The food was really good. Issie was our waitress & she really went out of her way to make it special for us. The manager also came around to check that everything is perfect. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cattle Baron.

Superb tasting soft fillet with mash and veg (and this is coming from a non red meat lover). Friendly staff. Health and safety conscious with covid protocals. Outside area has great vibes. Great management. All made for an amazing time.

Great food, I especially enjoyed my steak and all 6 of us enjoyed our meals. The cocktail menu had a number of choices which I quite appreciated. Our table had a lovely view of the waterfront.Excellent and friendly service, and I would definitely recommend this place.

This is the ONLY chain store restaurant I go to. This establishment is a cut above the rest. I have been going here for a few years. Servers are professionally trained; they have a large menu selection, and I am never disappointed. Truly one of the best places to eat in Cape Town Northern suburbs.

The food took an hour to arrive and the steak was cold.

We had an unplanned dinner date and rocked up without a booking. We were received warmly and a table was soon arranged. While we were waiting for the table, about four different staff members came to enquire whether we had been served yet. Genuine hospitality.More than that, the steak was prepared perfectly, as requested. The atmosphere had a kind energy and a great time was had.We will definitely return.

Me and hubby wanted to do something more uppity since it was date night without the children. So this is where we went and we were not disappointed! We had great service and delicious food and wine. Even though it is more fancy, there was a comfortable vibe.

Had the 300g Argentinian fillet. Very tender steak with good texture, sauce complemented the meat rather than drowning it out. Looked forward to every bite. Great choice of South African wines, easy to find something that pairs well. Attentive service, pleasant decor and a nice lake view. If its steak you want, Cattle Baron will not disappoint.

Im not a huge fan of Cattle Baron as its mostly a dark hole one sits in for dinner. The Grillhouse on the other hand is totally different! Its modern, there is a lovely view, the food is amazing and the service was really great. We had an amazing dinner here and will be back for sure. I would definitely recommend coming here for a meal.
