Luckily Fish Hoek (for them) is a small town with not much competition when it comes to cuisine. The place is laughable & the small town characters were interesting. The food was edible.

Get there early for the best service as this place can become a bit busy. It is the curse of doing a great job! From the service to the product to the setting this team ticks all the boxes!

Love the atmosphere my child loves the play park ... n the staff is always willing to help in any way... I always go back...its actually my go to spur... my daughter always forces take her every time we in fish hoek lol

Worst food we had on our trip. I ordered a baked potato and they served chips. I ordered a rump steak (it was nearly only fat) baked with cheese. Look at the picture. I dont have words for it. The meat was cold and I feel sick after I ate there. Totally worst.In the entrance there were paper on the floor etc. Sorry, but never again !!! Only 1 star because of the view to the sea.

Perspex Separators have been put between the tables. The PA constantly reminds patrons to wear masks when not at their table. Perfect!

We had fantastic meals and the kids were able to play in the play area that caters for children of all ages. Nice and relaxed atmosphere and we left satisfied 👍🏻

The restaurant is great the view from the restaurant is beautiful. We were there on Motherdsay and although the place was not full we waited long for our food. Maybe management must look into the service in the kitchen

Golden River Spur is an establishment of note ... keep up the good work ... Cameron was our waiter and he was AWESOME :-) ...My family and I ... And our guest ... were totally impressed with the vibe and the meals presented to us ... albeit it was delivered a bit later than expected because of a technical fault ... overall, we all enjoyed the time we spent at Golden River Spur :-) :-)

I loved it...breakfast was freshly made and i was inlove with my Caffe Latte made with fresh whipped cream... its the second time I eat there and both times was absolutely wonderful. And our waiter sorry forgot her name was very friendly. Thank you it was a perfect end to an amazing long weeknd.

A really friendly and capable waiter, originally from Zim. And my meal was just right: goodie burger, sauce separate, nice golden brown chips in small basket, even the onion rings were well done: not that boring pale colour that is so often the case but a rusty brown.

Slow service and after sending back our tough, chewy steak we waited 15 minutes for a new one and lost our appetite.

As far as Spur goes, this is one of my favourites. Have only been doing take outs due to the Covid situation but I always feel Id be safe eating in as they are strict with social distancing, checking temperatures and sanitization. Thumbs up!

Today 29th Jan we bought the wing special which was very disappointing...wings was hard and dry with lots of sauce over it to camaflouge it. We opted for a salad instead of onion rings and chips which was even worse...lettuce leaves old and rotten and wilted with a piece of plastic from the cucumber in the salad..we ate the wings because we were hungry and we were too far to take it back..not going there in a hurry.. last burger meal we bought was also disappointing because the chips was hard and dry

We visited this Spur on our 24 year anniversary. The food were amazing, staff were efficient and management even changed the music playlist for us. The view to fishoek beach finished it all off nicely. Absolutely loved it.

Im not happy to be giving a bad rating here. The staff was great. My son enjoyed himself. But honestly , the food was terrible. I ordered sirloin with cheesy garlic prawns and it tasted off. It was my worst Spur food experience.

Great for families s celebration occasion just ask for Agnes her waitressing skills is professional, happy serving all the way to the end of your stay .ofcourse the food is great .

This morning it is a friends birthday and decided to look at your website to see your opening times. 9am until late. We get to Golden river spur after driving all the way from Mitchell plain just to discover its under construction? Why do you have a website? Could you not have mentioned on your website that you are closed? Is it really that hard to do?

The service was terrible. We came as a group of friends (and we are fairly young) and we werent taken seriously by the waitress that was serving us , it was very clear that she was having a bad day and she was giving us alot of attitude, I assume this is because we are a group of young people? Not sure but I didnt like it. Their food wasnt bad but I really wouldnt recommend going there.

Good adherence to Covid protocols...But I have to say my most recent experience left me far from satisfied.Tried to order a home delivery - but the woman who answered my call was rude and unhelpful. We dont do deliveries she said. Period. Try Uber Eats or Mr Delivery. Well, Uber Eats doesnt operate in Fish Hoek, it turns out. And Mr Delivery is too busy to deliver.

We were a party of 7 for breakfast and had the most exciting, vibrant and awesome waitress. The hospitality did not stay there even the manager chatted to us. Oh u will definitely go back and recommend this spur. Its the best by far.

For stars for the great sea view while you eating!Spacious and always good services.Food are always in line with Spur standards.You must post for the parking now in front parking lot. Parking is still free behind the building.Traffic might be a bit congested during the December holiday as its a nice drive along the sea to get to Fishoek.

Food was really nice, lovely to be able to see the kids play but the service was terrible. Waited forever to order, drinks and food come relatively quickly but then the change for the bill another 10 minutes, eventually I went to the desk and asked for it. Not busy at all, would be such an amazing Spur as the views are to die for, the food on the nicer side of standard spur food but the service wasnt great.

Window seat over looking Fishhoek beach where we were lucky enough to catch a few whales in the water. Light, relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service. Wonderful breakfasts.

Burgers were awesome, service was quite slow especially weird because it was empty. Floors were horribly sticky, chips were horrid, but the onion rings werent bad. Play area was well staffed and clean. The table couldve done with a good wipe down. Great views. I have a problem with the smoking area being so close to the kids play area, as I did get some smoke smell coming through. Theres no baby changing station inside the restrooms, so you have to leave the Spur to change babys bum which poses a bit of a safety threat. The coffee was amazing.
