My first experience with my partner at this beautiful venue was phenomenal.The service, the food, the views were perfect! A special mention to Akhona who gave the best personalized service, the restaurant is lucky to have such a great employee.

What a gem with the most spectacular view of the mountains and town! Aikona was our waitress and what an amazing human being! And brilliant at her job! We had the calamari for starters, the fish for mains and the chocolate fondant with peanut butter icecream. Im quite a expert on fondant, eating it, not making it! And this was absolutely the best chocolate fondant Ive ever had! I was a bit worried about the peanut butter icecream as I had it before at a different place and it was very rich and heavy and I fought this would be to rich with the fondant. Totally wrong on my part! luckily the chef at Miko knows his stuff because that icecream was light and airy with just a touch of peanut butter! Beyond brilliant! Needless to say we will be back!

The Hotel setting is beautiful, the Miko restaurant however was a bit of a let down. The food was expensive and not very nice. The wine was exceptionally expensive! You can get a lot more value for money at other places in the area.Not a place for locals to enjoy!

Practically perfect, the place to go if you want to treat someone or yourself. The cuisine is superb, prepared to perfection and only equalled by the breathtaking views of the valley and mountains.Despite the opulence, the price easily equals that of some of Cape Towns higher-end franchise establishments, but thats where the comparison ends. From starters, through mains and dessert, the presentation, quality, flavour and composition is simply sublime.Most highly recommended!

Stunning views and excellent food in a magnificent setting. Its of the beaten track but well worth a visit. At lunchtime you mostly have the whole place for yourselfs.

Had a very nice picnic at Mont Rochelle whilst enjoying the fantastic scenery at the dam! Unfortunately, the quality of the food basket was not up to standard for such a revered restaurant in Franschhoek and this detracted from our experience.However, the management team were exceptional in compensating us for our misfortune and for that they are greatly thanked. I would definitely recommend this picnic spot with friends/loved-ones to all!

Had a fabulous time at this resort in October 2016. (Forgive my delay in review writing.) Stunning wildflowers, incredible views, clean and pristine rooms, delicious food, and Sir Richard Branson greeted us himself as we arrived. He was a kind and friendly person who we saw a few more times throughout our stay. Love the cats who hang around the beautiful grounds. Very safe and shuttles are available to the town. Would love to visit again.

Country Kitchen for wine tasting and cheese / charcuterie board was good. Wines themselves were very enjoyable. We sat outside and the spot was lovely. The service was friendly and staff friendly and knowledgeable. Something was lacking from being a five star experience, but that might just have been me. Very, very good overall.

Absolutely amazing venue!I booked a picnic for my boyfriends 30th birthday for around 20 people and it was the perfect day from beginning to end. The Mont Rochelle staff were extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. They assisted in the planning before hand and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. The picnic baskets were so nicely done and the food was delicious! They have their own picnic blankets which are just perfect and comfortable. The wine was also perfect for relaxed day drinking. And on top of all of this, the view and the landscape is absolutely incredible!We had the most perfect day and will definitely be going back soon!

Mouth Watering Lunch on the deck overlooking whole of Franschhoek is a definite must especially when the weather permits. took my parents there and will soon be back for more! count on it!

My best winery in franschhoek, i brough back home only wine from this place. People over there was really courteous. I saw few plate of food passing by and everything looked good so I took a starter and a bit disappointed by the sauce in it but I had really good wine !!

Beautiful place for a picnic but could be more to do. Not sure why they dont have walking trails, or more for kids to do up on Mont Rochelle, but the view is lovely and its a great way to spend the hottest part of the day. Food was ok not the best of the picnics weve had around Franschhoek but not bad.

Weve only done a wine tasting there but it was a very pleasant experience. Great view. Very modern and friendly.

We selected Mont Rochelle as had read that it is very beautiful. Also, the fact that it is owned by Richard Branson made it a must visit. One has to say that this is one has the most pretty views. The wines were good but the views and the ambience actually made everything irrelevant.

This is a working wine farm so the wine you mind ending up purchasing or pairing up with lunch or dinner has been made right here on the property. You will most likely be having lunch or dinner at The Country Kitchen where we had a lucky opportunity to enjoy a scrumptious meal. There is plenty to do on the property itself, from croquet, tennis and even out door movie night on occasion. This hotel is ideal for longer stays as you never have to leave the property to enjoy your experience here in the Winelands
