If you go to Franschhoek stay here. When we arrived we were told that we were the only guests at the hotel (Covid takes its toll). I kind of expected a toned down experience. Nothing could be further from the truth. The hotel was fully staffed and worked on the premise of full occupancy. We were treated royally. From transport to and from anywhere we needed to reservations at the finest restaurants. I gladly rate the experience here as one of our best!

Such a beautiful place, stunning setting, gorgeous gardens and the room is comfortable, sparkling clean and beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly helpful and professional. The service is next level!! Second time we stayed here and will DEF be back! I highly recommend FCH!!!

I have stayed in this beautiful hotel back in Oct 2018. Their customer service is above & beyond, they called me several times just to check on me as i were very late for check in time. They bothered themselves to prepare a small dinner for me plus making sure my villa warm & ready. Thank you for making my stay very memorable one

Service staff graciously assisted my 94 year old wheelchair-bound father in all matters, even setting up a private dining table next to a fireplace downstairs. Attn to detail, lit candles everywhere espresso machines in the rooms, heated pool, very luxurious and restful...

Excellent service. The whole staff cared genuinely about our stay, very accomodating with breakfast, shuttle service, etc. Loved it.

This is a charming classic-ly appointed resort offering high end evening dining and family style buffet/eggs to order breakfast. They partner with local tours and activities offering full, half day, and at-your-own pace assortment, including rental bikes. Most activities center around the wine tasting. The train tour combining the greatest array. As for me I liked the Paarl tour which has wine, beer (CBC) and chocolate tastings wrapping it up with a decent restaurant on premises.The staff of the guesthouse were extremely helpful, kind, gracious, with an honest smile on their face and a heartfelt greeting. The rooms are large and handsomely appointed, not missing a trick and adding a few you might not expect. Like a double level suitcase shelf across from the closet with the bottom, pullout. The guesthouse manager was always within arms reach morning noon and night making any special requests, curiosities, or complements easy to offer. If you are interested in a quant, charming, full service hotel nestled in the most beautiful wine valley in the world this is the place

I cannot say enough good things about this place! They went above and beyond, and they even have a shuttle service that takes guests into town and fetches. The villa we stayed in was truly gorgeous, sumptuous and more than I could have dreamt of. The only one thing that puzzled me (and I am being really fussy now) is that the room had a queen bed instead of a king. For such a huge space, with an upstairs lounge too, I did wonder why not have a king bed? The bathroom had his and hers basins, and everything was amazing. The turn down service was excellent. The staff were SO friendly and welcoming and wonderful which makes all the difference! I would highly recommend this place! Sadly we were only there two nights, I would have loved a longer stay as we didnt even get time to enjoy the pools (one of which is heated and we didnt even know until the last day!).

The whole experience was amazing. Nerbert, Charles and Ame went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fantastic. The desserts are awesome- try the almond chocolate torte with cookies and cream ice cream. Thank you very much 😊

Stayed here for Sunday evening in the most beautiful surroundings! They were helpful with us checking in much later than we informed, and the next day was wonderful in letting us use the facilities after check out. Im still sat here writing this review! Breakfast was absolutely superb and they provide the most exquisite array for fresh local cheeses, meats, fruits and pastries along with a la carte. A truly romantic getaway surrounded by herb gardens, water features and vines. The staff are super friendly, even for Franschoek standards. A French oasis in a beautiful part of the country

We went to celebrate my wifes special birthday. We were treated beautifully by all the staff who were all friendly and gracious. The food is excellent. One of the best breakfasts I have had (I am vegetarian). We were upgraded to a luxurious room.Shuttle service available all the time for all local destinations (return) free of charge.Well worth it I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The most extraordinary country house in the most breathtakingly beautiful landscapes. The service is world class, the rooms out of this world, the location absolutely stunning and not not mention their amazing restaurant on the property that serves the most mouthwatering food Ive ever tasted in my life! This is a must see hotel.

During check-in, we were advised that our room was above the restaurant and we regularly had to deal with noisy restaurant staff, as well as wade through groups of restaurant staff to get to our room. Also, the service was amazing at check-in, but then dropped off quickly thereafter. Elements of the room were in disrepair, such as a shelf in the cupboard collapsing because it only had 3/4 pins to hold it in place, a cracked and squeaky wooden floor and damaged fittings in the bathroom. The shuttle service into Franschhoek itself was positive. In general, decent accommodation but a number of elements that significantly detracted from the experience.

If you are coming to the wine country, THIS IS THE PLACE!Look no further, class, beauty, cleanliness, spacious, friendly staff, luxury and much much more! Staff are professional and extremely helpful. Close to everything you need, they are also happy to take you to town and pick you up if you dont have a car. Food is to die for, you must eat dinner there, great food, great wine and wonderful atmosphere! I highly recommend it and will definitely be back :-)

Beautiful hotel with a staff eager to please. It was indulgent (but really nice) to return to our room after dinner and have a fire already going in the fireplace and a hot water bottle in the bed. The restaurant serves a nice dinner. I would definitely stay again.

The staff is extremely attentive, kind and gracious. Our villa transported us to a time of pure reflection and appreciation of mother nature’s canvas. We will definitely return and stay here. Please treat yourself to this palace retreat.

We had a great time here. The hotel is located just before where the main road starts. The staff were all welcoming and pleasant. Would definitely come again. Was a bit dissapointed about the spa not having full time staff, though.

Wish we could have stayed longer at Franschhoek Country House. It was so comfortable and the staff quite friendly. Its beautiful grounds were relaxing to stroll thru and the breakfast wonderful. Its a delight just to step onto the grounds and take in the beauty.

Lovely atmosphere under the sugar maple trees with excellent food. They are pet friendly if your dog is well behaved, which ours luckily was even though she is still a puppy. Their prices are moderate but they have lots of personal touches like making their own breads and buns. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place and will be back.

An enjoyable stay. The rooms are very large and the staff are very organised. Breakfast was outstanding. The hotel is not in the country but is on the main road which is very conveniently located to experience all that Franschhoek has to offer.
