The ribs ( yes , ribs in a Seafood Restaurant 😃) were good ! The meat fell off the bone like it should. Portion was generous. The tuna sashimi tasted as good as it looked. Also the sashimi was cut perfectly. Overall friendly quick friendly service with a smile. Well priced. Can definitely recommend;).

Honestly the view you get is amazing. the atmosphere is really a vibe as you are secluded from all people walking by but at the same time you are still part of the vibrant atmosphere which is constantly happening at the V & A waterfront.The staff pay special attention to all your needs and consistently check up to see whether or not you are having a good meal.Their turn around time to deliver the food is more than decent and the quality of the food is worth the money you are spending. you also get multiple discounts or specials depends on which day you go so choose a day which best suites your preferred choice of cuisine

Super kind manager, he genuinely saved the day and dealt with the matter accordingly, however, the kitchen staff messed matters up. I requested for a medium-to-well done burger, however, I received a rock hard, dry pattie. The bun itself was completely soaked and soggy. The salad I received had massive chunks of cucumber that probably couldve been further chopped into another 4 smaller slices had they actually cared about quality. My 2nd burger received was completely raw in the centre. When the burger was re-fired, the burger only tasted of burnt meat and oil as this bun was completely soaked along with the lettuce on the burger that became soggy and oiled up. The manager kindly removed those items from the bill and did his best to resolve matters, however, the kitchen staff clearly did not get the memo. Quite saddening when ones hard earned moneys receives such disrespect. Defs done with CTFM for good.

Not great food at all no salmon no fish no meat on a Friday paid for a platter that was so little calamari one portion of rice two fish cakes two pieces of broken off fish was in our platter not to mention cold platter on arrival but wait for this I paid 899.99i was told its a platter for 4 I was so upset. Excellent service by Charity. Salmon teriyaki came with crisp skin and well roasted vegetables. Prawns on platter was fresh & delicious. Our son loved the ribs!! Poke bowl is also highly recommended.

Poke bowl was great. Lack of ambience. Kingklip and veg dish was a total waste of money. Waiter brought us incorrect drinks and opened it before we could alert her.

They have consistently good service and great good. Their nenu is varied and the restaurant has a good vibe!

This CTFM branch is Halaal and perfectly located at the V&A Waterfront. Staff is very friendly but most importantly the food is amazing and the waiting time very short.

This was a lovely experience. Had dinner in a group and the service was very good and the place was good quite good too. Had sushi for starter and it was very nice. Main meal was prawn and calamari which was very good too. Alround I had a fantastic experience.

The fried fish were outstanding and very good value for money.

Waiters was ok no stock of fish and meat on a Friday halve of the menue no stock cant compare to Grandwest ctfm will definitely not go back soon very dissatisfied

I wasnt impressed with the food. My fries, vegetables and chicken tasted like fish. As if these were fried in the same oil as the fish.Furthermore, my husbands sirloin steak was raw. He requested rare however he received a seared steak.We asked our waiter, Tanya, to feedback to the Chef, and we were told that the chef is sorry, and that was that.We are deeply disturbed by this and will most definitely not return.

Nothing but absolute perfection. The atmosphere and scenery is very beautiful. Staff was extremely friendly and nice (I think it was the Manager, very nice man, kept on checking if we okay and if theres anything we need etc.. I liked that). The prices are pretty much standard for a place of such caliber. The Kalk Bay platter for two was (R300 something) at the Fishmarket and last week, that exact meal I had at another restaurant (I wont mention the restaurants name) was close to R600.. 🙏 I had the False Bay platter for 1 and for starters there was chilli poppers(absolutely delicious). I am very pleased with my experience and I look forward to going again soon.

Didnt have certain drinks (no watermelon flavored drinks, nor tequila). When ordering sole or kingclip, we get told theres nothing, they out of that. Lol, and this is supposed to be CT fish market? But they got no fish! Very very disappointing, coming from jhb to this 😕 I expected a lot better. Will definitely think twice before coming here

Nice view, good attitude from staff, overall nice establishment. Apart from the service delays due to it being super busy when I visited, mostly it was a good experience.

Great food and wonderful staff. Special menu for kids, and the food was loved by all of us. We were seated outside, when we passed inside when leaving we were shocked by the volume inside, so book table outside! It was a bar inside with real sand around it though, if you rather have sand between your toes than your hearing intact.

I usually love Cape Town fish market. The tables inside were a little bit too close for my taste, but outside seating were awesome. The food were good and staff are friendly. The menus did not look very good, they were torn and I could not get my chair out from under the table. The cushions on the chairs were also dirty with holes in them. I expected more from a restaurant at the Waterfront, but I also understand that the Restaurants are under a lot of pressure because of Covid. A little TLC will get you another star.

The waitstaff was really amazing and friendly. The food was good but I was super surprised that the Cape Town Fish Market Restaurant in Namibia the food was significantly better. That being said it was still good food with a nice good and good service.

This place has amazing drinks, great food, and the service is just as wonderful!! Also they have free wifi which we all know is a perk in some places. We came back here a few times during our stay as the sushi was just out of this world, truly some of the best weve ever had. Also the style was one of a kind, half of the restaurant was sand and picnic tables and very beachy. The other side was like patio floor and tables and chairs. A side for any mood you might be in. I would love to visit this place again when we come back to Cape Town.

While visiting the V&A Waterfront area we dinned here as a family. Just about everyone ordered the cod burger with fries, which was awesome. My wife and I also split an order of chicken tacos and shrimp with a special sauce (we were hungry lol). The food was good, and did not take long to prepare.

Walked in tonight for sushi. Got to the door, and the waiter was standing on his phone. Not keeping an eye at the door so we stood there for a minute or two. Next up, a big rat the size of a small dog shoot across the floor. We decided there and then immediately turn around and headed to another restaurant

Food was fair and fresh enough. Restaurant had a strange smell and the overall appearance seemed a bit run down. Staff were friendly but service was slow. Main course came quickly enough but it took very long to get a chocolate brownie.

Wide range of seafood and fish, price is good. Nice staffs. Will come back again.

Apart from a huge shopping mall, there is a big wheel to ride. Plenty of good bands playing and singing. Marvel at the stone sculptures on sale, take in a meal, or coffee and cake at the many cafes.

Great spot at the Waterfront for easy-going seafood and meat dishes. Large venue with ample seating and efficient staff. We popped in on a Tuesday which is half-price sushi, so some awesome deals on all sushi menu items. Fish was very fresh and good quality. There are places with fancier and more extravagant sushi in Cape Town, but for the nice outdoor vibe and affordability you cant go wrong.

Very beautiful restaurant and child friendly. I absolutely love their sushi and cocktail drinks. Our waiter Sandy was also fantastic♥️

Ive always enjoyed this place irrespective of their location. The one at V&A does have an advantage because of the different choices in seating arrangements. Theres the beach vibe, outdoor dining vibe as well as indoor dining. Great place.

Too many exploration and much needed shops at close proximity

I had the hake & calamari combo, we also had some of their sushi, everything was so fresh! Their mocktails are also very nice. Would definitely recommend 😊👌🏽.However my friends steaks were underdone.Overall, a nice & calm place to eat well.

One of our favourites in the past but today we were disappointed. Food was great, as always. We understand Covid regulations, we are in the Tourism sector ourselves, but the restaurant was dirty, the menus grubby & sticky. Our table wasnt cleaned. We especially made a reservation, but all stood in the Queue, waiting to be seated. The 3 groups in front of us, all walk-ins, with no reservation. Why not create 2 queues, or at least ask the folks in the queue who has made the effort to reserve a table. Not sure we will be back.....

Cannot rave enough! Firstly, your staff are wonderful and curtious, they were well trained in the menu and gave us a wonderful recommendation on wine which made us come back for the second night to enjoy another fantastic meal! Cannot find fault in anything we tried and we tried a lot of different meals😂 really a wonderful place to eat and relax after a busy day!

Service is friendly and quick and staff are friendly and helpful. The place has a nice buzz to it and a great atmosphere.Location is fantastic and good for a good walk post meal.

We went to the waterfront store and were racially profiled and the manager was absolutely horrid and rude to us. we brought this up with their head office but the responses were dismissive. get your act together, its 2021.

The food is simply awesome! Cannot get enough of em beef ribs!! *lovestruck* 💘. Sadly why why why some of branches closed down.. 😔 Hopefully they gonna reopen more branches soonest in Pta and Jburg 🙏

The food was fantastic and the venue was nice with fun options of either sitting with sand or grass at your feet. There is seating inside and out, which makes for a good spot for evening drinks and meals. My only gripe was the service at the entrance as the staff were not welcoming in body language nor did they ofter to seat us so we walked straight passed and sorted ourselves out nevertheless our waitress was fantastic, constantly checked up on us in a polite and friendly manner. I was impressed with the bathroom and the venue is wheelchair friendly with easy parking. I would however recommend parking at the silo as its closest.

My husband and I had the Kalk Bay platter. Good service and enjoyed the food at the time. However, my husband got a very nasty case of food poisoning the next day. The most likely culprit are the mussels. He had all of the mussels while I I didnt have any. He got violently sick the next day and Im fine. Will not be going back.

The menu has a lot of sushi and fried fish options. There are a handful of land meat options for non-fish eaters. While not being able to speak for the entire menu, the grilled prawns with lemon butter were very good. Appetizer of fried seafood jumbo firecracker prawns had good sauce. Service, ambiance, and speed were fine but nothing greater than average.

Fish and chips were amazing although I was surprised by a couple of fishbones in the first bite. Greek salad was one of the best Ive had. Beware of the Olive seeds. Lemon vinaigrette salad dressing at was outstanding.Service was friendly.Didnt like the music so much.

Reducing my rating from previous 5 star to 3 star.... Sushi was still excellent, but management is slipping big time! Outside area was a complete mess. Napkins and rubbish everywhere. Felt like we were sitting in a junkyard. Complained to the waitress and asked her to tell manager. Nobody came to speak to us. 2 waitresses came and picked up one piece of rubbish each and left the rest of the mess. Bathrooms did not have soap in either one of the dispensers.

It was a take away. Waited more than 1 hour and the food was not fresh.

This is the worst food Ive tasted ...the shrimp was tasteless, calamari cubes looked like they were boiled in a sauce than grilled and mussels just looked horrible, only tried one.......

The food was good but the actual establishment is in terrible condition. Chairs are falling apart. All round maintenance is lacking to say the least

Made a booking for a special today and then when arriving was promptly told special no longer valid. Could they not have emailed to tell us beforehand as they had our details?Then we were told the full menu is not available as staff never pitched up and we got handed paper copies of a reduced menu. I just lost my appetite.The place was also in need of a proper cleaning.Been visiting this branch so many years and this was most unprofessional experience ever.

Covid 19 laws not adhered to at this establishment! What a disgraceful experience. Firstly, as we did our check in at the entrance, the thermometer didnt work and was faulty! The hostess insisted that the thermometer make contact with our wrist, in order for the reading to work! We were then seated and the waitress handed us our menus. When we were ready to place our order, we were told that the dishes we wanted were not possible to provide due to certain ingredients not being available. (Dont you provide this information upfront?) We then ordered the kids special, only to be told that the wrong menu was given and its only for Sundays. Irrespective of the manager coming to our table to re-explain this, we were still left confused as to why the kids special was not honoured in lieu of his staffs oversight. Before our meals arrived, we headed to the restrooms to wash our hands, only to discover that the soap dispensers were all EMPTY! no soap, no sanitizer?! Needless to say, I lost my appetite after baring witness to the unsanitary state of the bathrooms! Ive read another review here, whereby the smell of the restaurant and general maintenance needs attention, I agree. Service was slow and the waitress had to be asked to clear the table, after more than 30min after finishing our meal. Not the service, operations and cleanliness that one would expect from a so-called reputable franchise! Next!

The food and service was exceptional.The seating and spacing was great. My husband says theyve outdone themselves with the different types of protein. They do not just specialise in fish but any meats too. Orders were perfectly prepared and served within record time. We really enjoyed the lunch this afternoon. Party of 9 people.

Not a very good experience it was my first time here and the food was over priced when i got there my sister had a steak that was under done and i had a seafood potjie that was off i did mention this to the waiter she told us the manager will return but no manager did i paid my bill and left did not even finish the food.

Food was delicious and we received really good and friendly service. It also sports beautiful views of the V&A Waterfront.
