Very nice place to get a steak and fries, as well as a beer or cider! I had the Brazilian Steak. Also a nice place to get a cappuccino. I wish I could remember the name of the man who served us, he was very nice. This was in early January.

Waiter was friendly food came out quickly chips was a small portion though. The restaurant was clean all covid 19 protocols observed. Disappointed in the small mug they use for filter coffee. It is a rainy winters morning in Cpt I expected the same sized mug other Spurs use. Other than that a good experience.

The service there is super 💕 the waiter kept on checking on us . I loved the meal to 👌 Even the cocktail 🍹 I give them a 💯🔥💕

We ordered some Apache Combo and part of some pork meat was not well done. We then as politely to get it well done, then The Manager came by himself to assist us and apologized. Besides it was not a complaint to us, we just find the stuff very welcoming and able to please their customers. Thank you so much Mr Manager ( Apache Spur Steak Cape Town) Salute.

We placed an order past 11 am, telling the waitress we will pick up at 13:30 lunch time only to get there the order hasn’t been done. We waited twenty minutes no 1 said anything until we asked only then they said there was a miscommunication with the chef we must wait another 10 min for the ribs and our lunch was only 30 min we didn’t even eat let alone going to the bathroom because we had to spend lunch waiting at spur really disappointed, our day was spoilt.

We went to the restaurant last night and it was very quiet. We had to ask the waitress to be seated of which she did and gave us menus. She never came back to take our drink order. We waited for more than 15 mins and ended up leaving without being served. Very quiet, i think there was one table.

I after my complaint about the portion size of my order for takeaways through BOLT. Someone from the restaurant contacted me and replaced my order for me. Thank you to the lady that called me yesterday and Faldi I spoke to this morning to collect my order. Thank you for the prompt response in rectifying the error.

1 ServiceThere were two waiters on the floor. Seemingly poorly trained and not polite . It took forever to be seated, to order, to receive the food and to pay!I had to go to the manager up front to pay.2. Food.Guys, there is a difference between cook in sauce and a bottle of basting just squeezed over already made food. i was disappointed with the quality of the food - the famous ribs especially. It will take some convincing to come back to this branch - sad since i live across the road.The staff here need to go on an exchange programme at the Newlands Spur. that one is unbelievably good.

A really chilled spot for a bite after an intense shopping spree around cbd.I was forgotten a few times but the food made up for my neglect.

If it takes half an hour to cook the simplest burger, can at least cook it properly till done in the middle, risky, especially with meat that seems prefrozen. Waiters were very friendly and helpfull and I enjoyed my waffle and chips and onion rings.

On the 28th of March arnd 2 we were treated so badly all the gals on duty were giving attitude ..no attendence and we found our way to the tables wen we got there we were told to go back to the entrance we did ...then the table that they offered was messy and l stepped on a broken salt shaker lying arnd.every procedure we had to ask for example the bill we asked for it then they took sooo long we had to go to the till and guess watvthey were busy talking.same wen we ordered food we had to ask for a waiter...the service was very poor.

Waitresses is not attentive. Food is cold when it arrives at the table. White clients gets more attention then coloureds and blacks. Dont know if the waitresses fear of not getting a tip. I always tip where Im treated fairly and the service is up to standard. Not recommended! Wont ever go there again!

I gave 5 stars for wasting my time and money... i ordered uber eats , i ordered the ribs with hot veg, only after putting my meal together on a plate, i got a funny smell from the container that the veg came in, only after eating it the spinach was completely off and taste sour, and spoiled my whole meal... after spending R700 on this meal, i regret spending that money on a disappointing meal. you can come collect this food, from me as my dog wont eat it even. i even phone the store but that was not help, as they told me they made it yesterday.

The waiter was rushing us to place our order, I finally ordered a medium rare rump but it was rare, wow. The beer wasnt cold even, not with my money.

Absolutely fantastic service. A warm and welcoming atmosphere with incredibly friendly staff. Even at the end of their shift their attitude was still shining. A wonderful experience. Definitely going back to this specific branch again.

Food was great. Friendly and prompt service. Parking outside in the street.

My ribs and wings today werent fresh and were very dry with little to no sauce basting. The waitress forgot to put in more fries instead of onion rings and to also add spice to the fries. Plus the Spur sauce they added with the meal tasted diluted. :(

They probably did not expect to have so many people so early in the morning in middle December as most people were going on leave. Having said that, food was amazing and more than made up for the delay in service. Nice to see the manager getting in on the service.

We received the best customer service from Corine. She was so friendly, quick and checked up on us from time to time. Food was amazing!! Keep up the great work!

Horrible experience. the waiter was extremely rude and the food was bad. the pork ribs (their main plate) was cold, fries and onion rings were very oily, beer was hot. after it all, the waiter had the nerve to ask for a tip, and when i didnt understand what he said and asked for him to repeat, he asked me if I understood English (I had been talking to him all night). terrible. too expensive for the experience I had. especially with the non-deserving tip I left. will never return.

Always a good experience, had a well groomed waitress named Lillian that knew her menu well. She placed our meals to our delight. Her service was definitely 5 star. Meal was good and attention to detail was excellent.

Spur no longer offers value for money. The quality of the meals have also deteriorated. Perhaps they will step up after Covid.

Brought back many memories used to frequent the Apache Spur way back in 1976 when me and my wife was dating. And used to enjoy 2 Spur burgers with Coke for R20.00. Thanks for the great experience once again.

Had a quick breakfast here. Staff was efficient and service was great. Needed a quick breakfast at a place and menu I was familiar with and I got exactly that. Food was great, toast was still warm when I got it and the waitress was super efficient. She deserved a tip that was even more than the actual bull.

The waitress was friendly with a good sense of humour... The restaurant was not too full and so it was quite enjoyable being there as we could get a table with a good view of the street.. the food was quite yummy and worth the money spent. They may need to expand thelsdies toilets as the wait was too long...

The staff is very attentive. A friend and I dropped in for fries, waffles and milkshake after a long day. I completely overestimated my appetite. Id totally go again.

There is no urgency to serve a customer. By the time we received our order, we were tired of waiting. Other customers were also complaining about the waiting time......maybe all the stuff is under training 🤷‍♀️ ..... There is no wheelchair access to this joint! We struggled to take up our baby stroller.....

Ive always found it to be on point, for a casual lunch, without a booking. Easy going atmosphere, and friendly (if at times a tad slow) service.

Spur is second to home. If you wish to play it save an d know you want to enjoy your food spur is the place to go. Its not too expensive and you will definitely receive value for your bucks!!! #spuratasteforlife!!!

Always a pleasure enjoying my favourite Spur Meals at this venue. Everything you can ask for including a well stocked bar with energetic & friendly staff at hand to attend to you. Also celebrated my Kids Birthday Party here recently, kids loved the Birthday Meals and Treats on Menu and making full use of the Play Game Area. Highly recommended :)

Service was poor.Watress paid no attention to us and after a few minutes we decided to get up and spend our money elsewhere.

I walken in nobody was there to greet me or direct me where to go,ddnt Wana be rude and seat myself so I waited... eventually somebody paid attention... Got to my table waited about 15 minutes to make contact with a waitress so I could order and she totally ignored me ....until a manager came past and he then had to serve me till the end!!!...At 1 point after I had ordered my meal I wanted to add another salad so I got up to order wt another lady that was close by me,to my surprise she told me she couldnt take my order as she wasnt serving me,that finished me!!!....so I had to go find my manager guy whose name is Ebrahim ...so seems the managers have to carry the waiters at this branch...Such a shame!!!

Unfortunately this time around I was immensely disappointed in the manner in which I was received on my favourite located Spur. Front lady by the name of Marita was very unprofessional, it looked as if she preferred not to see us come in. Manager on duty (Fazlin) was the reason we stayed after the front desk lady aggressively let us through. Upon arrival she used force to stop an excited girl who just flew 12 hours from Europe, happy to see her Aunty she hasnt seen in 5 years, just to explain something which would only make sense to an adult.The manager explained why children had to now since recently wear tags and it was a great idea but the approach very not suitable for a child. If she did put her hand on my child again I would have to treat her like an opponent in a cage ring. Badly received and on our way out she showed us such bad attitude, as we asked for a simple paper bag she tossed it over the counter without care on where it would land.If I could rate 0 stars I would have. In all my travelling experience I have never witnessed such service.

I am utterly appalled by the level of service Ive just received at the Apache Spur in Strand street, Cape Town city center from a girl named Fortunate. How unfortunate! I have been at this Spur on a number of occasions and have always received good service.We got there and there was a queue of people going halfway down the staircase waiting for tables. We waited for something like 15 to 20 minutes when these 2 chaps walked right through. I observed and nobody stopped them. I told the chaps that they needed to wait in line but they werent bothered.Apparently if you wanted a table on the patio you could go in, but nobody bothered to advise my friend and I of that option.I got really frustrated because I was very hungry and this is when Fortunate came along and whilst venting to her she simply just walked off, took a couple of menus and presented them to other customers.I was so disgusted I phoned the owner on the spot whose phone was on voice mail.I will be sending him a very long email.

Great service, my usual clumsy self spilled orange juice all over my breakfast and instead of getting those glares or smirky comments. Instead I got smiles and everyone was so friendly and helpful to the point where I was actually surprised. Its a definite recommend from me.

I bought ribs, baffalo wings and veggies takeaways. The pumpkin was sour and spinash was too thick. Could not return the food because of the distance from my hotel and spur.
