Very nice and modern store! Well laid and spaced out. Has various sections dedicated to certain foods types and even a pharmacy area. Staff are friendly and attentive.

I shop at this place but the customer service is not good honestly. The girls seem uninterested to assist you. But this store has a great manager Mr. Ricardo really nice guy.

The store is always clean. The staff is generally very friendly and the store manager, Ricardo, is amazing as well. He remembers the regular customers and makes a special effort to greet when he sees them. Glad to have this store at our doorstep. Its really great!

This checkers always has fresh produce, a wide range of meats and cheese, every type of snack, including to my surprise an imported Indian snack from Durban made by Karanichas. They have neat and tidy shelves. Their bakery does need more freshly baked stuff. Staff in general need to be a tad more attentive and friendly instead of running you over with a bread trolley. But overall, always a pleasant experience visiting and shopping. Parking is slowly becoming more and more congested since the mall formally opened.

Always have to wait at the Deli counter. You are lucky if you get someone under 30 minutes to help you!😕

This is a big Checkers carrying a wide range of products. As you can see they stock beautiful fresh flowers as well as fruit and veg. The store is well laid out with nice wide isles and friendly staff - plenty of parking

What a great store. The fresh fruit and veg selection is Fantastic. The deli counter is awesome. There is a wonderful selection of olives, cheeses and meats. There is a great selection of wines. This store is situated in a great centre which offers plenty of easy access parking. There is wheelchair accessible parking and entrance. Public toilets are available at a nominal fee.

Lower level staff could be friendlier. Cant wait for construction to be done. Parking is a nightmare.

I have bought so many off items at this checkers. Most creamy things are off, expired things are sometimes sold with dates semi-removed, veggies are 70% of the time rotten on the shelves and the staff are most unhelpful. Its been a year now, no improvement whatsoever. Disappointed so often by them. Rather supporting PicknPay & Woolies at Richmond and Plattekloof, until improvements are made.

Has vegan options... Good for vegetarian and vegan to visit...

This store isnt take the relevant steps needed to protect staff & customers from covid. Some cashiers do not place their masks over their noses & mouths. The plastic visor isnt used correctly either. The female cashier who did not follow regulations walked between the till I was using & this made me uncomfortable. We are all in this together & we need to protect each other. If your staff find long term use of masks uncomfortable, buy them ear savers. It is an extention clip that takes the pressure of the ears. You can find these on facebook marketplace etc. Checkers management please take this seriously & protect your staff+customers.

I am so impressed with the staff of this Checkers store. Yesterday I forgot my wallet with over R4000 in it. When I called, they immediately went to look for it,found it, called me back and gave it in a super sealed bag with the last note in it. Truly great and honest people.

I got cheese and corn samoosas from the deli. They were mince. I returned them after breaking them all open. The lady at the counter put them all back in with the rest. Great training on food safety standards! Goodluck with the food poisoning if you dare to buy from here.

Always a pleasure shopping here. There are frequent specials on general use products. Managers are always quite helpful and friendly. The staff on the other hand definitely have the demeanor of bring there simply because they have to (I dont remember seeing any of them being friendly or smiling over the past couple of months).They arent rude or anything like that, so will continue shopping here.

Its a nice store to get your daily supplies but their shelves often dont have stock and staff members are quick to say theres no stock left. On more that one occasion their fresh fruit has left not much to be desired for. Would be great if they restocked their shelves on time. Other than that, I have no issues. Theres a coffee shop outside the checkers and a medical centre with a great doctor who works on appointment basis for those interested

Im really impressed with how the shop has been revamped. The fresh produce and ready made meals look great. They have a wicked wine selection too.

Its great some days and others not. Dont always have what you need but they are currently under construction to become a flagship branch. Im sure they will improve :)

I spend way too much money at this store. I find them to have everything I ever need and their deli serves the nicest and tastiest food you can get. The manager is very willing to talk to his customers and eager to please. Sometimes they are out of stock of certain items, but this I believe is due to their suppliers not playing the game. All round a nice little shop.

Would have given a 5 star but the security is not good. They dont sanitize you properly they dont have customer service.

Oh so many empty till points, oh so little tellers on duty. When you have to wait longer at the pay point than what it took you to get what you need from the shelves, then you know management does not really care about their customers.Nothing has changed. Still the same problem. The queues are forever long, and I didnt even wasted my time to try and shop here. I made a 180 right there at the door. Went to another store at Century Village (Not a Checkers) and got fantastic service, and no long lines at all. By the way, this other store had every till point manned. Every single one.Now, where do you think Im gonna spend my money from here on in?

Best checkers in Cape Town. Very friendly staff and management. Fresh produce and very neat environment. As a local it feels like the good old day market where everyone knows everyone... Personally one of my favourite places to shop for everyday home groceries.

Great shop close to schools and residents. Parking ample. Atms more than enough. Bathrooms you need change as they require R2 to open the turnstiles. Bottle store available,but so small and only two cashiers. This means long ques and limited space to walk. Not trolley friendly. Limited stock due to the size of the shop. Wines very limited.

Love shopping here. The manager is amazing and there is a wide selection of great products. My favorites are the meat, fresh fish and freshly prepared food.

Good stock holding. totally ignored at the newspaper kiosk while staff were making purchases. After 3/4 minutes took the paper and 4 other items to the tills helped by friendly cashier

Great place to do some grocery shopping, conveniently located for burgundy/richwood residents. Barely ever any long queues. Renovations happening as of 21 Jan 2019 so expecting a sleek new look soon too!

Has a really good selection of hot food, their roast veg and Sunday lunch is very good indeed. Service is normally very good. Shop is clean, easy to access for the elderly and disabled and the car guards are friendly and helpful.

Lovely shopping centre, great Checkers with easy access and layout is good. Cheese counter and fresh vegetable/fruit section well stocked. Wine section in a very small area and cramped area and should be changed as there is also a liquor store. The cold meats are badly managed and rarely is there anyone to assist. the front of store staff are chearful. There is a pharmacy as well.

The cashiers are NOT friendly. They chew bubble gum all the time and if you speak to them they talk in their own language with the packer and after conferring with her/him, they answer you.The shop is fine.

I love doing my monthly crocery shopping here because parking is never an issue and it is close to home. This Checkers is always clean and has a pharmacy as well. Staff are friendly and competent. Can also get a car wash whilst I shop.

Very good store, however, do watch out for the occasional racist twit. They will presume that they should be first in line. Also they will push and shove they way past you in in the aisle or till. In fact they are willing to push through the queue to be first due to privilege. Some will go as far as commenting on how much food you are selecting from the hot and fresh section. However if you are strong willed then such people will be nothing but a fly buzzing around you. Simply swat it away and be served and be happy!

I got to the store at 17h45, only to see the notice that the store closes at 18h00. I asked the security who then just ignored me. Surely if you are saying that you are open until 6, customers should be allowed in?

Only good to shop there in the early or late mornings when stock is still available. A LOT of people are moving into the surrounding areas, and its like black fridays when you need something in the afternoon/after work time. The place is not what it used to be.

Very convenient because I live down the road in Burgundy Estate. Its never really crazy busy so you dont really have to wait in long queues. The cashiers are really slow though and the staff are generally very unfriendly, sometimes seems as though they think that they are on holiday, in their own world (sometimes they might not even speak to you at the till or even look at you). Its convenient that they have a pharmacy and bottle store. Lots of nice baked goodies and warm ready made foods available. I find the fresh vegetables section a bit limited. Due to the fact that they sell out quickly I often find myself staring at the shelf hoping that more vegetables will appear.

Its always very neat and tidy! A nice little Checkers to get some quick shopping done, yet big enough for monthly groceries.

Today was a most unpleasant shopping experience! Stock on the shelves is covered in black soot,which I am now cleaning off my shopping. Half the stock has no pricing on the shelves and a lot of stock has not been replenished

Their buyer is pathetic. They never have stock of what Im looking for. Their fruit and veg section is deplorable. I just bought three sweet potatoes, most of which I had to throw away because they were so gross. I wish I could post pictures here.

Quite a few every day thing were well priced and even tough the place was abuzz with customers the cleaning crews were doing a great job to keep the store relatively clean.I was especially impressed with the presentation of their meat products and again the pricing was good.

Was there on sunday afternoon for food from the hot section. Was very annoyed and disappointed when I dished the dinner up only to find that all 8 roast potatoes were rock hard. Golden brown on outside but totally raw inside. The pumpkin fritters were also extremely oily. Please check on ur hot food section and chefs

Amazing how Checkers/Shoprite is able to merchandise their stores to adapt to the local conditions. This one is quite upmarket yet small. Useful range of groceries.

Hate it when you have to walk up to your staff to get service, she looks at you like she doesn’t even know what she’s doing here, strolls to find someone to assist me just to get a fricken samosa? Also your food display units aren’t properly enclosed and there are flies flying around, probably not a bad thing that your staff provide such poor service.

Awesome super market, but way to go telling clients with helmets to pissoff, specially now that there are 3-4 other supermarkets with same selection if not better a walk away that will allow you entry seeing as a full face helmet is a physical barrier as compared to a mask. If you wanna see who, check who was on door duty at 3:45pm on 28/01/2021.As he said at the door not his problem. Il just take my monthly shopping elsewhere till you guys read this and reply.

Nice centre for after work essentials. Since the store was revamped, the lines at the tills are insane. Common Checkers, get it right, not going yourselves or the products you sell any favours with the present set up.

Nice big spacious store, but they keep eggs in a strange aisle and split canned foods up to 3 different aisles which made it difficult to find what I needed. But the store kept everything I needed and thats what matters most.
