Good store, well layed out, just didnt have the 8 column journal that i needed. But otherwise very good, I wonder if they put fresh ready made food out everyday, because usually at all the other ones by end of day youll see red stickers on the ready made food that they couldnt sell, but not seen this at this store... So do they keep it till the next day I wonder...

Friendly staff. The Deli has the best service ever. The prices is so low its incredible. Best hot Chips and tasting chicken. A lunch time meal will only Cost u R30. I think its the best checkers Ive visited. 5 stars

Very disappointed yesterday morning to find 3 cleaning and entrance employees without masks and chatting animatedly at the entrance where masked shoppers were coming and going. Dont know whether they are staff contracted to Checkers or not, nevertheless feel management should take note of what happens at the entrance to their store. Some members of the public in the parking area where also not wearing masks. As an anchor tenant should Checkers not play a role in ensuring more awareness to protocols. Can security not politely point out to people to wear masks. The police station is just across the road.

Whenever using the 60sixty app, they always select the worse food about to expire. Eg. bread , cheese and eggs. Had to throw away eggs as each one I opened was rotten.

Everything is marked with a price. Fresh produce at a good price.

Checkers Muizenberg please tell your cashiers and packers to stop talking about customers in another language while the customer is standing right in front of them. A cashier was saying very rude things about a customer ahead of me inline today, in another language to the packer. Luckily the person didnt understand. This happens every time I go to your store. Granted they probably assume that most customers cant understand them, but some of us can. And its really not nice to hear such things.

Never choose distance over quality of service. The staff dont greet and look like they dont want to be at work. I asked the cashier to sanitise her hands before scanning my items and youd swear I just insulted her. Also, why do employees talk to one another while a customer is being served? Youre supposed to be making sure the customer wants to come back. Sorry PnP Lakeside, Ill drive the extra 1km next time to see the friendly faces.

I would have given 4 stars as have no issue with the service or store, but management needs to seriously look at the litter problem at the back/side entrance near the subway of this store where staff notoriously litter during their lunch break and leave bins overflowing!!! Checkers management need to provide extra bins and better educate their staff about pollution and hygiene. It creates an unsightly and unfavourable impression. Incidentally, I have noticed a similarly lacking in awareness pollution issue at Meadowridge Checkers.

Worst fruit and vegetables, rotting on the shelf, burnt pies in the bakery and roast chicken that looks like its been in a car accident. Im so tired of cutting into rotten fruit and veg when I try cook after shopping here. Complaining to management doesnt help.

This store is in a good location. There is a fair selection of really good products. Friendly staff. The teas and coffee section could do with more options and the hardware section needs more practical and obvious products.

All you can expect from a low range department store. Miserable people in a rush to get their shopping done and average to bad service. The good thing about Checkers are the bargain prices and specials for the same goods you get everywhere else. This is the reason I only shop at Checkers/Shoprite.

I prefer shopping here to PnP Capricorn although it is further for me to travel but PLEASE teach your checkout staff to smile and greet. They all seem to have that pained expression on their faces. If they dont like working here, then resign.

I like the very good prices and especially the fresh vegetables. They are well stocked, but busy, so the wait at the tills needs some patience.

Situated in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. The drive here is beautiful. Very quiet and a lot to do. There is a market and a few restaurants nearby. The beach and do much to do.Checkers is great. Very clean not too cluttered I have been here on occasion but it was never too full.

The staff (besides one person, when theyre on duty) are so so slow and demotivated. I can never go in and out quickly, even if I need one thing. The staff always seem disinterested, sometimes to the point of being rude, and the staff at the kiosk perpetually seem to be busy with something else, meaning they arent helping the customers in front of them. The place also needs some touching up. The section for the wine in the back corner looks nice—its a pity the rest of the store doesnt really, especially since other Checkers in Cape Town have been done up so well.

Chicken came fresh out of the oven when i got there..... oooooh what a delight. Also R20 for a burger and a coke nice value for money.

Still waiting for Checkers Muizenberg to tell me if theyve got Cape Point King Prawns in Stock. Got transfered to the Bakery and then to the Deli and no one can tell me if theres someone who knows anything about sea food and fish. This staff is a joke.

A total gem of a shopping experience in the heart of Muizenberg. Always clean, always well stocked, and always open. Friendly staff, undercover parking and an in-stoor take-away section with ready-made food for people on the go. Simply fantastic!

Lovely place and lovely people but damn it they never give me the right pie ,I love their mutton curry pie but 8/10 times I get the wrong pie much to my taste buds horror its always after the first bite is taken that the realization sets in and the sadness follows please just.....gimmie the right pie...

Friendly staff...especially the man at the wine racks. He greeted each person with delight. The service at the deli was good, but unfortunately the chicken was very very dry and nearly unedible.

Convenient but feels disorganised. Its hard to shop there due to what feels like a haphazard store layout. Access from the main road is difficult if youre on the opposite side as it means a u-turn that is hard to execute on the busy main thoroughfare. Often lacks baked bread and certain fresh vegetables. Not my first choice for shopping but acceptable. Has good parking and location is good for when on foot.

One of the best. Excellent service and people are friendly. Food items are always fresh and place is always clean. One of my moms favorite branches.

Service is normally quick and efficient but today after 12 management was more interested on taking in the money instead of servicing the customer. We stood at the cashier waiting to be served for 10 mins whilst the supervisor and 2 others collected money and the cashier had to fill in forms. Then at the money market was only one person serving. Yes, we were only 3 in the queue, does not mean we have to stand and wait in a queue for another 10 minutes. Cashier was slow and not very friendly, looked zoned out. Once again had 3 people collecting money whilst customers had to wait. We shop there frequently and have never before experienced such a lack of good customer service

I live locally and use this Checkers often as its a 5 minute drive or a 10 minute walk. Staff are lazy and always appear to busy to serve/help with the customers, they tend to be talking amongst themselves or they can be found at the lie tills dreaming and staring off into the distance. Probably the poorest Checkers Ive used in Cape Town

It is a pleasure to shop here. I paid a quick visit to buy steak, salad ingredients, and charcoal, for our braai. The range of goods on offer met this requirement superbly.

Just like a normal Checkers with a deli, take-aways and household supplies. They also sell boogieboards as theyre near the beach.5 minutes walk from the beach and is an affordable alternative to the restaurants on the beach front; incase you want to save money or brought a little cash with.

Packers had no clue or showed no interest in what she was doing. Mixing meat products with firelighters chips and rolls in one bag. Cashier and staff unfriendly . cold meat counter lady the same. No one greats in this shop. I ended up unpacking and repacking my own goods while the packer and cashier chose to have a discussion in their language. Supervisors was around stopd directly opposite the till and said or did nothing even while watching me repack.

Got a coffee bar but never sells coffee!!!! Either machine still needs to be cleaned! Surely it needs to be cleaned previous evening when shop closes. Or its always broken, been there numerous times over past two weeks and have not been able to get coffee

While I was waiting for my lift, I sat down on your bench in the entrance area. A well known vagrant sat down next to me. (IT SEEMS TO BE HIS BEGGING AREA) No problem. Until he shouted change, change to all your customers. To get my attention he started to cough, and cough all over me. Guess What! I ended up with bronchitis. Two weeks down the line, still suffering.

Quick visit. Getting in and out of the parking lot is tricky, but the store seems large and neat and well-stocked.

The produce found here is often more cost effective than the competition and, on occasion, can pleasantly surprise you. The cheese selection, and the fact that they stock Aloe juice earns them an extra star.

Packer did not zip my shopping bags closed until I mentioned it then she did not help me put my bags inside the trolley until I asked her to. At other supermarkets the packer does it automatically. Tomato paste in sachets were packed in with the chicken fillets instead of packing it with the dry goods.
