Absolutely pathetic service. Standing in a queue and then they close it cause of till issues. Problem is they dont inform you who has the actual patience and then you have staff that has attitude problems. There are people looking for work if youre y dont want to assist others. Absolutely pathetic. Wouldnt recommend anyone to go there after this encounter. Checkers should be better than that especially the staff

The shopping was good,the only thing that was disappointing was that they dont give preference to disable people to go to the front of the queue

I have found that when buying liquid detergents at this shop the detergent was replace with water. Albex thick bleach, grilling blast braai cleaner. Now they dont have the grill blast in stock for quite some time. Dont solve the problem just dont selve it anymore. Be careful shake the bottle make sure what you pay for is what you get. Please report this to store managers immediately .This is unexcepptable.

Its a great shopping experience, open space and the shop is always neat and tidy. The only bummer is when they advertise Schultz Power Tools, there is never stock. I was informed on the 25 September 2020, that the new stock would arrive by the weekend. Today is the 05 October 2020, still no stock and no one available for comment. Anyway, lets hope that its an oversight by the Procurement Department...

My third time in the space of three weeks where I am told at the till they dont have cash for me to draw, this is after the cashier ask the supervisor named Aqeelah if there is cash, her abrupt reply NO!!!! What do i do patiently wait and ask at the money market tills, and politely those cashiers would assist. @ Higher Management, please empower Aqueelah with customer service skills, trust me that non shelon attitude of hers chases the customers away.

Its still month end & the cashier queues are extra long - it being around 5:30 = lots of tired people returning from work. The store has at least 5 tills UNMANNED. Patrons have to queue for longer periods instead of arriving home to spend time with family/iesNot acceptable.

For a first time shopper at this Checkers, I received exceptional customer service. One of the floor staff members was very helpful, friendly and willing to go the extra mile, he went to go fetch the two bags dogfood from storage, still asked what flavours I was looking for, he carried it to the till point. He then asked if I want a trolley, I said no I will carry the dogfood to the car. He left and came back with a trolley and placed it in the trolley. He is a valuable team player. Must say Im very satisfied with my experience at this Checkers.

ITS OKAY , SLOW AT TILLS ALWAYS FIND STAFF STANDING AROUND AND TALKING NOT SURE WHETHER THEY ON BREAK BUT DOES GIVE BAD IMPRESSION ESPECIALLY WHEN SHOPS ARE FULL.

Good day , I had the most terrible service yesterday ,firstly i got to the till after a long shift , came to the tillthe cashier did not greet nor acknowledge me at all , she just kept carrying on talking to the cashier on the other side , did not bother asking me if i had a extra saving card.Didnt ask if i would like a bag nothing whatsoever , just carried on talking , im disgraced with the service i got yesterday , i will never use that cashier AGAIN , Rude lady , and if im not mistaken her name was Bashiera not sure of the spelling (basheera,bashirah or basheerah ) , looked up a few spelling .from a loyal customer who has been shopping there for years

Great place to shop at. Tonight as I was doing standing in the queue at the till. Someone on the intercom called cleaners to go clean up a spill nearby.What was dissaponting to see was your cleaners had buckets and all the equipment to clean but you didnt supply them with gloves to do the cleaning with, your staff had to dry the mops with their bare hands. For a store that big for your cleaning staff not to have gloves is disgusting to be precise.Please attend to that issue it portrays a bad picture of how you treat your staff

They are following the Covid-19 regulations. You get sanitized when you enter the store, the trolleys are always sanitized. Even social distancing is observed.

Great place to shop. Queues move quickly. Staff is friendly and helpful and shop is always clean and tidy. Prices are good.

The first retail shop you find when entering Mitchells plain. They are fully stock and cashiers are very friendly. Trading hours accommodating to working people.

Trading time 7am to 6am standing in line outside store since 7am and store still close really not a happy customer

This place is always busy, but their trading hours are good. Note their express check-outs are not always quick, look around for a normal check-out as this could be much faster.

Ordered party platters on the 11 October 2021 for Sunday 17 October. My husband went yesterday to to collect the pastries were dark brown (way overbaked) and there were no pizzas as shown in the platter file. The staff assured me that the platter would look the same as whats in the file. My husband was not happy.Husband brought the platter home and I said he must take it back. He went back to Checkers and the Manager Denise and they said they would prepare a new platter for us.Hubby had to go back(3rd time to checkers) to fetch platter and once again the pastries were dark brown by then my husband just took it(he left because he was super angry 🤬). The manager gave a bunch of roses ,drinks and apologized....we grateful for the apology gifts but we still had to offer our guest at my daughters party those pastries. I felt so embarrassed, the standard at Checkers Weltevreden has really dropped when it comes to their baked goods. And the staff at the Deli needs serious training.The manager Amanda Petersen apologized for the inconvenience and gave us a full refund. We are very grateful for the refund. We happy that in the end we were happy customers, assisted by great managers.
