Always get pizza here - Sadly this is the worst service I have gotten ordering through uber eats - the pizza is fine but they literally gave me a stale block of parmesan when asking for extra?as seen below: this is the piece of extra parmesan, its hard as a brick and disgusting.

A great pizzeria, not too expensive. Parking is a bit of a hassle though, and I would suggest parking on one of the side roads as the main road can get quite busy. They do a great happy as well. The reason for giving them 3 stars is because of their Chicago deep dish pizza. I have been to Chicago and have had actual deep dish pizza, in comparison, theirs should be called a shallow dish pizza if anything. The sauce was not spiced very well and cheese is a bit bland. Their other pizzas are amazing though, and burgers arent too shabby as well. I would would recommend those.

I went here with my kids and my cousin. We had pasta and my cousin had pizza and we shared crumbed mushrooms with a garlic mayo dip as a starter. The mushrooms were not bad at all but in my mind I compared them with those from the avenue and the latter are way better in comparison.My kids didnt enjoy the Neapolitan pasta, there was quite a lot of sugar in the tomato sauce so it was very sweet. I then shared my pesto pasta with my older son and he loved it. He ate more of it than I did. We added fresh garlic, salt and fresh chilli to it and it gave it life.The great thing is that we went on a Monday and on Mondays kids eat free with each main course ordered by an adult so we didnt have to pay for the Neapolitan pasta 😆. My cousin thoroughly enjoyed her village pizza.The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was however a bit put off by them killing flies with an electric racket of sorts while we were there. They were having fun but each time they killed one the racket would make an electrifying sound. They were just having fun with it but it is flies in a place to eat so...

I was here with my partner. I ordered the Nutella waffle and the half strawberry - half orange juice. She ordered their sundae. By the pictures youd swear it tasted good and the experience amazing. But alas.Brian (who was our waiter) was such a clutz, spilling my juice. It was literally dripping when he put it on the table.The Waffle was stale. I asked and they confirmed that they dont make it themselves but rather buy it at a store and merely warm it up before serving. It tasted like cardboard and their ice-cream was cheap and tasteless.Where we it was easy to witness the preparation of the food and to our surprise, the guy that was preparing the food did it bare handed, no gloves whatsoever.It was the first time in life that I felt unsatisfied and robbed after eating food that I paid for.If your reading this and are considering of going to The Village Bicycle, just dont and rather go next door to the Avenue. Thats what I did, after having such horrid food

This place used to be known as Da Vincis and we have always enjoyed their food. We sat down for the Saturday lunch special and its really worth it - R69 on selected menu items. We had a variety of dishes and we were not dissapointed. Soft pork ribs for only R69! Can you say HELL YESSSS I will most definitely be back! Service was very slow and we waited quite a while for our food, even though the place was practically empty, but I assume they had quite a few phone orders .So we waited and waited but in the end it was worth it,

I had a BBQ rib calzone folded pizza and it was very good. It was big and super cheesy with a delicious crust. A bit on the expensive side but overall a very nice place. The manager is very friendly and welcoming, 100% recommend a visit.

Hsppy hour for the win!! 4 to 6 pm with half price beers, R40 starters and some other drinks specials. Lunch specials. Burger, rib and pizza specials; and all of those are fabulous! Pop in! Friendly staff and good service, very cozy inside with the pizza oven and rad lighting. The place is deceptively big too, with a small cozy courtyard at the back too. I enjoy my visit every time I go and I try go as iften as I can!

Possibly the worst pizza I have ever eaten, or in this case tried to eat. Struggled to cut out a slice to eat, couldnt chew as the base was rock solid on each. Utter disappointment.

I had a great evening here with my girlfriend. We ordered a pizza, ribs, and nachos. Nachos were great with three different toppings to add. The toppings of the pizza are very flavourful and taste very well together. The base of the pizza is on the chewy side and has a crunchy crust which I enjoy. The ribs were tender and smoky with two sauces, which I think the ribs were good by itself already. The chips werent done properly though, so chips were fried nicely but some were soggy. The atmosphere is ok, a bit dark but wasnt dark enough that I couldnt see anything. The service is great and the waiters are very friendly. Overall, Im a happy customer and I will definitely be back. Five stars worthy restaurant.

Placed an order through ubereats, which was unfortunately never collected. Staff at the village bicycle went out of their way to contact me and let me know what had (or hadnt) happened, and were waiting for me when I did my own collection. Pizzas and burgers are great, but next time Ill do my own pickup rather than relying on ubereats.

TL;DR - I ordered a burger from here. It took very long (~1 hour), and definitely wasnt worth the wait. I feel slightly sick, and will not be ordering from here again.Just ordered The Village Burger from your restaurant via UberEats. The order took over an hour, which is sometimes understandable. What is not understandable is:- The (beef) burger itself looked and felt like a rubber puck.- There were toppings sprawled all over the container (cant blame the delivery-person, Im just around the corner).- Potato wedges were somehow oily, burnt and not crispy at all.Im not looking for any apologies or freebies, I just need you (Village Bicycle) to know that this is totally unacceptable. What scares me the most is that even after all that prep time, someone still approved that order to be sent out. Needless to say, most of the meal was thrown away; whatever I did eat is not sitting well at all.

Ordered the double cheeseburger and wedges take away. Sent me home with fries and the worst burger I may ever have eaten. Very unimpressed. Wont be going back.

Take away pizza was dissapointing. Below average quality and expensive. Was the tomoto sauce simply tinned tomato paste? Base was chewy, didnt taste fresh. The place looks nice and the staff were friendly.

We ordered on Mr Delivery and got two double burgers. The food was extremely stale, from the chips, to the roll to the patties- tastes like rubber- as if it were left out overnight. Extremely disappointing given the exorbitant price and this problem was experienced on both burgers and chips.

Tried The Village Bicycle out for a few take out pizzas and must say what a lovely venue. It seemed that every staff member went out of their way to greet me and check if had been helped. While i waited for the pizzas to be made the person who was running with my order kept me in the loop as to progress and constantly checked if there was anything else they could do while i waited.The pizzas where delicious and very well priced. Definitely a venue we will return to in the near future.

We had intended on going to The Avenue restaurant, which is right next door, but since its nee years day, they were closed. Convenient enough for us, these guys were open. Although there were only two servers on duty, and they were pretty busy, they handled themselves very well. All the staff were friendly and hustling to take care of their guests. While it did take a little longer than I prefer for the food to arrive, I understood that they were busy. I got the 2nd Ave Burger (bacon, guacamole and feta on a beef patty) and an order of Mozambique wings and my girlfriend got a Hawaiian calzone. They were both delicious! Stone baked pizza and quality food all around. If you are in the area, you should check it out. Also, the table mats are construction paper with provided crayons and pencils to color if you have kids or a knack for artwork. Thanks guys

My friend and I visited this restaurant last night. The vibe was great and the waiter was really friendly. However, the food took too long to arrive (longer than half an hour even though it was not busy at all), and the cocktails tasted watered-down.The manager apologized for making us wait that long for our food; they gave us complimentary deserts of our choice, which we were happy about. But the deserts were honestly not that great either.Overall, the standard of the food and drinks is not worth the price you have to pay.

2/5 - based on food only - Saw many awesome reviews and pics of great looking pizza here. Ordered a Margherita pizza and a Rib pizza as take away and was very disappointed. Barely any pizza sauce on the Margherita with a hard thin crust and thin layer of cheese as dry as cardboard and sharp as knives. Rib pizza equally sharp and dry. Gave it a 2 because at the very least I am not hungry anymore. Do you have a lesser ingredient quota for your take away customers? P.S. The large is a pretty ordinary large sized pizza.

This is not a review for their food. Which is usually great.This is a review for their delivery and phone service.. I ordered at 6.15, was told 30 min.At 7.45 the pizza arrived. The pizza was cold and the toppings were wrong. Jo (the managers response was, were sorry). At R140 for a late cold incorrect pizza order, that feels like a bit of a rip.

Can I give 6 stars?? 😁 Everything was perfect, from the food to the vibe and the service to even the manager who was nice and attentive! Will be back very soon! 👍

Parking isnt easy, so be prepared to search and walk. Once we were in, we had a pleasant dining experience. A fair wait for our order but not excessive. Large selection and varied menu. A little on the pricey side but worth it - our pizzas were very tasty - thin bases and generous toppings.
