This morning before work I decided to stop to MacDonalds Observatory to get me some breakfast. This was at 6:40am only to find 2 crates blocking the entrance. Eventually the lady mopping inside who is staff sees me, talks to someone inside and tells the security to tell me they are closed. I managed to get inside just to make a U turn, only to see about 2 boards with there time slots which states they open at 6am????? Upon leaving I spotted one of there staff outside smoking, then I gladly went opposite to KFC who was open according to the times they give to the public.

I used to love the carrot cake from McCafe now I don’t even know why I bother. It’s always so dry, and not fresh at all, it’s like it’s 3 days old 🤦🏽‍♀️ I don’t know what’s wrong either you guys really are selling old cake or it’s just not as fresh as it used to be. I bought a slice yesterday, and I had to toss it because it was so hard. This has happened 3 times already and at other McCafe areas as well- including this one. Please can you guys do something about it. Thank you

They served my friend a chicken burger when he ordered a vegetarian burger. They replaced the burger and gave a free McFlurry ... but still... you cant be making mistakes like that!

Loved their Grand Chicken Classic, its taste different to the one in Joburg, but I loved it even more

Burnt burger bun, it’s mcDonalds not expecting much from them but sending out a burnt burger isn’t really acceptable

On offering they ask about medium or large taking the regular option off on option but its there. Having to pay for large sugar content sucks. Dont know its sales ploy by them.

The 3 star rating is because the service is great but you guys are servicing one of the biggest hospitals in cape town, it would be nice to have your staff show up to work on time to open the store. Many times before work i would want to buy a coffee and then the crates are still blocking the drive through entrance even though its well passed 7am already. Nurses and doctors get ready for the 7am shift change and would love to grab a coffee before work. You are losing so much money during this time. The staff are friendly, the drive through staff is most of the time on point. Please consider opening earlier.

I had a not so pleasing experience. i didnt like the attitude of the person taking my order. what was worse was goin around and meeting the unfriendly face that didnt even greet me. i always believe if i buy something, anywhere, i shouldnt be the only one greeting and saying thank you

How many orders can you possibly get wrong? Ordered a short hot choc with my mcmuffin meal but got a milk coffee instead and often no serviets, or ketch up. I always ask for extra just in case they forget to add, which happens so often. Real consistent bad service from this outlet. Unfortunately the closest one on my route.

Used to be reliable but half of the menu items advertised is never available. Fast and efficient service but not having standard drinks is dissapointing. Burger was ok.

I came into the mcdonalds with a shirt around my nose and mouth , i was instructed by the security to go buy a surgical mask or get out ,i refused and politely clarified the law to them instead of speaking to me properly i was physically assaulted and harrased infront of a full store this incited violence even from other customers until i was physically thrown outside ,humiliated and insulted with derogotary statements, this is not how you treat customers. I have video evidence and believe that the store also recorded this ,please assist ?

This restaurant is fast, efficient and clean. The employees are also really helpful and will walk you through every step of their self-order system. I will definitely eat here more often.

Good service, but orders are being missed. Need to double check if your meals are in order. Need to address the issue of good lighting and safety at night on the drive through.

This McDonalds is generally horrible when it comes to customer service, and the deals only work occasionally. Somehow my orders keep getting messed up. Primrose made my day today - she was very kind and very helpful, and made my experience here a pleasant fluke. This McDonalds needs to do better, and needs to work on their ice-cream availability (every McDonalds needs to).

The service was bad. We tried to order inside but they told use to walk through the drive-thru to order because they were not taking orders inside. Then they completely ignored us when we got to the drive-thru. They were very rude, I would not recommend this McDonalds to anyone.

Firstly, a place that doesnt answer their landline. Why even bother? The inconvenience of receiving wrong items you did not ask for. Its just a shame. So disappointing.

Wont put my feet there again.Unfriendly Staff, Doesnt even want me to use their bathroom, and i really needed to use it after hours of driving.The lady told me i have to buy before using their toilets.Afterwards went to buy at the drive thru, waited so long for my order to be brought back to my car.It was raining and the lady was just standing there outside, didnt bother coming to the car, my boyfriend had to get out in the rain and fetched it cause we waited to long.Wouldnt wanna go to that McDonalds again.

The food was good just no tomatoe sauce added to bag with serviettes. There is enough time to do this.

What time does this McDonalds open? Very disappointed that when this question was asked I received an answer as if I wasnt allowed to ask this question. Rude security guy that has no customer service etiquette, talking to me and on the phone. I witnessed pure harrassment by mcdonalds observatory manager and security on a customer for supposedly not wearing a mask which is a false claim because the customer was fully masked and did not deserve to be physically engaged and humiliated in front of the whole store, this has left a bitter taste in the mouths of many who were the.

Ordered on uber, 1km delivery, delivery was quick but Big Mac cold. This is disgusting 🤢

Always a fan of McDonalds and the one the Observatory go above and beyond for their staff, it so intermate and I can sit there for extra minutes even after I finished my meal. So I love my meals to be a sit down.

Quality of the evening staff has dropped dramatically! Also what is with this store always closing 15 minutes early before the projected closing time? You are a convenience food not a close when we feel convenient! I hope you dont pay your staff for those 15 minutes because you are paying them make clients never use this branch ever again. Probably learn from thr Pinelands branch! Quality food all the time and closes at 10 when they say they are closing at 10.

Good store with limited inside seating. Has the automated ordering machines, but with our visit this evening their system was down.That certainly created havoc in orders being processed so it took ages for our sit down order to come out and only because my wife went to stand at the counter reminding them.My youngest wanted the kiddies meal but it seems the toy she wanted is only given out during daytime, so one unhappy girl.By the time we got our combo meal the kids was starving. Hopefully should we visit there again it will go better.Male toilet needed a clean. The store has outside seating and a mccafe.

Food took 40 min to arrive after payment with no apology...nothing. The order received was not as specified on the order slip. One of meal items the mcd server/packer forgot to pack in.

The staff is very unprofessional, unhelpful especially the lady that takes the orders, she expects you as the customer to know the menu better than her that works there - then gives you whatever she feels like, eg: cooldrinks, kiddies meals she just gives any toy she wants unlike other branches that asks if its for a boy or a girl - and to crown it all she still has an attitude...NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!Happened 06/05/21 @ 13:00

Service was abit slow. Had to use the self service option as the tellers were to busy to assist. Stood amd waited for more than 5 mins for a cashier to take my order still nothing thats why the self service option was used.

The store was empty an it took 10 -15 minutes with my order...they forgot abt my order.concerntrating mor on the drive thru.

The food is great as with all McDonalds but this one falls short in terms of service in comparison with the one just down the road in Rondebosch. Service is average, staff could benefit from training to match service at other McDonald’s. Waited 20mins to be be told they were out of potato bites my order. Received my “adjusted” order 10mins after that, and they still got it wrong. Staff were dismissive so I just let it go. Spent 30 minutes inside a McDonald’s with a toddler waiting for a food and this was a weekday.Also, outside seating is used by delivery drivers together with the parking next to it so not a advisable choice if you want to sit outside.

The traditional McDonalds restaurant experience. I would like the restaurant to convert the wheel chair toilet to both family and wheel chair facility... my daughter needed the toilet but I could not help her I had to ask a stranger to assist her in the female toilet.

I ordered a beef share box. Which suppose to 2 big macs, 2 cheese burgers, 4 drinks and 10 peace nuggets with the 2 sauces. Firstly they gave us ice in our drinks, after we said no ice. We got sugar free drinks and the drinks we chose you have to pay and extra R2 for. There were no nugget sauces. And no cheese burgers. If disappointment was a fast food company.

This the only location where I experience the WORST SERVICE CONSTANTLY! I waited nearly 30min in their drive-thru only to be greeted by incompetent staff at the window that dont know their own menu and also dont know how to do the basics regarding redeeming voucher manually. This is not my 1st bad experience here and is unacceptable! I will not recommend their services to anyone.

Consistently the slowest McDonalds I have ever been to. Just drive to the next one itll be faster.Pics to illustrate. Ordered at 6:56am and still third in the line at 7:18am, and counting.Update: got out of there at 7:29. Ray Kroc is turning in his grave. The cappuccino was delicious though, so back up to 2 stars for that.

I really like this Mc Donalds, its clean and its got the new self-service stations, so you can try that out. They made me this cute cuppacino, it was quite good to be honest, just not as strong as I would have liked but good nonetheless. The only issue I have is with the service, it was quick but less than friendly.

Its a reasonable suburban McD, service is OK, and during morning rush the drive thru is somehow quicker than going inside, even if there are only 3 people inside.
