Im not a major fan of Spur but we continue to support this specific branch as their food is fresh and prepared well. The service is also on par.Well done to the whole team for upholding Spurs name, there are a few other branches that could learn from you.

Spurs give consistent service and value for money (we had the 200g steak special and scored a free bottle if wine) but what I like about this Spur is the great views of the mountain. It was a bit overcast today but the photo gives an idea of what it looks like.

I swore that I would not step foot into a Spur again after terrible food experiences.. But we had a toddler who wanted to play. Cajun Spur at Table Bay surprised us. They obviously care about their customers and there quality of food and service. This was the old Spur experience at its best.

Probably the tenth time we visited here. As far as Spurs go, you get the good, the bad and the ugly. This one at Table Bay Mall is just superior. In these level 2 lockdown times things are not always easy eating out, here it is a breeze. The staff is prepared. The food is great, the coffee is hot. They are fast. We signed in at 10:15, our food arrived 10:25. As I said, this Spur does the franchise well.

Great food, great service.January 2021:Updating and changing my original 5 star to 3 star in theory-based on the behavior of a new manager.*A recent visit last week, my sister and I went to sit down and get something to eat at this particular Spur. We had been shopping just before getting something to eat. Upon being seated, we went on to drink our water purchased from a different shop while we decided what to eat. Previously this was not a problem and Ive had snacks that I had bought while shopping before at this and every spur prior without any issue.*The female manager rushed over to us, not introducing herself and upbruptly told us to put our waters away, we are not allowed to consume items purchased from a different place. I was shocked and my sister decided we would leave. As we left she rushed over and asked if everything is okay. To which I said yes, we are leaving.*I can understand if there is a rule, however no other manager has ever reprimanded either myself or any member of our table for consuming food or other at spur whilst we still were to order and eat at that particular place. Left a bad taste - so to speak and can say I will not return anytime soon. Not a good experience.======================26 May Update: Bruce the manager has liased with me and explained things and offered assistance with my next visit. This visit was on the date specified. Sylvia was the manager available and the service was very good as it had been before the incident. I have food allergies and everything was made as needed by requested to accommodate my needs. A very good experience this time around.Thank you Bruce and Sylvia!

The best Spur I have ever frequented - and consistently so.The staff are very attentive and professional - everyone is willing to look after you, not just your own waiter, they give good advise regarding the menu items, and are cognisant of unspoken dining needs.My mom only ever gets the waffle at Spur and this is the only branch that ALWAYS makes well cooked and delicious waffles.

Had a great visit last night. The nachos was made to perfection. Mall management need to look at the central Aircon function with the present cold weather. It was cold inside the store and was told Aircon controlled by centre.

We travelled from Durbanville. We enjoyed what we had, but would have preferred breakfast even though we were 15 min late. If Spur is not busy (which they were definately not), request like that should be allowed. We did ask, but our request was denied. Do not be so set on time please.

Had lunch at this spur today - and took most of the food as take away - wanted to eat it as dinner, and just found hair in the food - seriously not an experience I want to remember. A person already risk health to go to a restaurant, the last thing we want is someones hair in their food. Not hygienic.

My pork ribs was very dry. After i mention the waitress to replace it, she came back with another one witch almost tasted the same.

Staff are all excellent and my Beyond vegan Burger is amazing everytime. Very impressed.

My previous review was wrong I got my spurs mixed up. Always get good service here and the food has always been good.

Had to return a burger as we wanted it chargrilled. The manager immediately came up to apologize and said they will ensure its made perfect. Great service is hard to come by, so keep this up!! Food was good and hot when it arrived at the table. Oh and did I mention, the beer was perfectly cold!

At the other Spurs I have enjoyed the rump better. The cut made it tough in my opinion.It was sizzling hot which was good. The garnish has gone which might be them cutting costs giving parsley instead. Garnish was always edible and eye candy. The staff were helpful.

Great service and fresh food

Half Chicken currently on special was extremely dry and overcooked. Burger patti just as dry and tasteless. This establishment would need to up their quality if they intend competing with their competitors.

Brilliant waitron - food was delicious. Arrived an hour before closing time but never felt rushed and or had floor cleaning done while we were eating (unlike one particular Spur that did this under our noses, pine smell did wonders for our appetites!). Well done on excellent service and hosting.

We sat at the class wall facing the outside sunset. It was a lovely view. The waiter was tentative a d when the power went off the manager came to apologise. Even though it was not her fault. I will set go back. We didnt even wait long for the food on a busy night. Will definitely go back.

The hubby and I used to go to the Spur every week, at first for their burger special and then for their breakfast special. Unfortunately, over recent years the quality of the food has gone downhill. Their burgers got tasteless, and their chips now taste like poor quality frozen ones (to be fair, most of the restaurants and coffee shops Ive been to seem to be using the same supplier, you cant get good chips anymore except at old fashioned fish and chip shops): dry and fluffy tasting, you need to absolutely drown them in sauce to get enough lubricant to swallow them.Coupled with the drop in quality is a rise in price. We all know that inflation is a thing and so prices rise, but its very difficult to convince customers to pay for for a worse product.If you are satisfied with their new quality and price you will also be fine with this particular branch. Its got a section for children near the front and the open kitchen at the back, so if loud noise in a restaurant irritates you ask for a seat in between the two. Along the one side are glass concertina doors that are never opened. The tables against these doors have benches that can be moved out of the way, allowing people with wheelchairs to sit there comfortably.

Service was good. Food was good. Just have to say that if you serve a steak, there shouldnt be paper underneath as it gets wet & you end up eating it.

Brilliant when they first opened but going down

I happened to arrive just before 11am(close of breakfast), on 2 occasions. Both times, I was warmly welcomed and quickly seated. Order placed. Our coffees arrived in no time and so did the breakfast, which was simply delicious. The waiters on both occasion were sharp and courteous. Managers also always checked up- a well oiled machine forsure.Easily one of the best Spur around.

Best quality of food at a Spur by far.. and they are consistent at that. The staff even go as far as still serve double thicks!

Well done for having paper straws 👏👏👏👏Great attempt at helping child safety by giving a paper arm band with number of parents on. But that can just be ripped off. Maybe try the tags that go off at the doors if your kids leave.

Coward manager, walks away and avoid talking. We arrive at the spur for breakfast at 11. 02 and the waiter says it should be fine and seats us. I was glad esp coz my toddler was hungry but the waiter comes back and says the manager says they will no longer serve breakfast so I ask the waiter to pls call the manager and comes back to say he will not. So I decide to go to him but he sees me and keeps walking away. I dont see why he couldnt have reason and maybe order my little ones fav scramble eggs esp. I was really disappointed...

The so called manager Dana is an extremely rude women and should be taught how to interact with customers (and people in general).On the other hand, our waitress (Angela) was very nice and understanding towards our needs. Perhaps she should be made manager instead.

Food is of good quality. My only gripe is the amount of waitrons who flood you at the entrance. Last visit I counted 10 standing there blocking the entrance. This is too much, and off putting to me. Half would suffice, even on busy days.
