Greeted by a warm welcome.. place was neat, oh my but the food was super.. I have a rule to never have steak, lamb or ribs by a restaurant that specialize in fish, just because it never is great.. but man oh man the food was great and will definitely come back. The Greek coffee, is unique, but is not for everyone.

A warm welcome by almost every staff member and quick and attentive service goes along way. The menu had a great variety and the wine list did not fall short. Starters (bread board and greek dips) was delicious and the mains (3 Stuffed Calamari with curry sauce and 1 Grilled Calamari) equally good. Fantastic chips! Even better that we could use the Entertainer app. Just as good as our previous visit more than a year ago. Great job Greek Fisherman. Well be back!

We came for a complementary dinner from one of the sunset cruises we went on, almost 3 years ago.Being Greeks, we didnt really have any options. We were so happy, that we ended up coming back every other day for the duration of our holiday. The staff were really very friendly, the food was amazing, the service was out standing. We really had no complaints. And being in the hospitality industry myself (and my girlfriend) we couldnt really fault the place. We are headed back here next week. Cant wait...

Reasonably warm welcome. Found menu limited and expensive. Ordered “2 small soles’ as advertised on the table menu. Waitress returned to offer one large sole as there were no small ones. Agreed. Your price on the printed menu was reasonable. This item does not appear on the wall menu. At no time were we told that our second choice had a different price. R245 per sole!! Total rip off. Do you even HAVE ‘small’ soles?Seems like a giant con trick to me. You won’t see us again/

Amazing food. Tastes exactly like the food tastes in Greece. Made with olive oil and full of flavor as opposed to the tons of butter the other restaurants use for flavor. Healthy and scrumptious. Definitely highly recommended

Ordered the seafood platter on special. Total disappointment and waste of money. Ive never had to fight so hard to get prawn meat out of the shell. I ended up needing to use my hands and the meat just broke into strands. The mussels turned to mush in their shells - definitely overcooked. I had to scrape what little meat I could out of the mussel shells. The two MINISCULE pieces of fish on the plate would have been better just left off the platter entirely. Looks like they ordered them from the worlds smallest rockpool. For R199 I feel like my bank account has been raided by dodgy fishermen. Wont be back.

A delightful Tuesday evening at the V&A - the light beautiful if a bit cool, we really wanted a good seafood experience. Staff at the door were eager to get us seated and the menu looked promising with line fish on offer. I was hoping for Kabeljou, but was disappointed to be told by the affable waiter that it was not available. So I opted for Kingklip instead. The selection of breads was interesting, the Greek salad was just OK. A large square of feta on a large bed of greens with Kalamata olives adorning the edges. Just no zing or anything to it. Eventually that dish was removed from the table, and the long awaited piece de resistance was served. A large fillet of Kingklip accompanied by potato chips (which were quite good). The Kingklip proved to be a chunk of overcooked rubber posing as fish. I had anticipated a firm texture and delicate flavor, so this was a big disappointment. I pecked at the edges and satisfied my incredulity. Eventually we called for the bill and noted the atrocity of the cook posing as a chef, who should know when to let food out of his kitchen.

Unfortunately after years of enjoying the food and especially the mousakka, I had a disappointing meal here last night especially given the prices. Service was superb though.

JC
Review №69

Being of Greek descent I was slightly disappointed. On the pricey side definitely for a Cape Town restaurant; Moussaka, Stifado and Souvlaki were good but nothing to write home about and the home cocktail with Ouzo, Wodka & Chocolate. Dont try it. Was missing some classic options like a Meze platter or more sharing options on the menu. There definitely is room for improvement, but I have faith. Few small changes would already greatly impact the place! 😊

Take it from a Greek, the food is not authentic.
