We regularly visit this Spur when were looking to just chill, enjoy a good meal and have conversation, while the kids play and are being watched by one of the friendly staff in the kids area. A classic go to for birthdays and family celebrations. Updated my review to 5 stars - long overdue - but I must say since Andrew is running the place it has been top notch. I remember his first day as a waiter - needing one last tip to earn him a bonus. Next time we looked he made it to manager and with such a good pleasant hard working attitude I can understand why. Always a bustling good atmosphere in the restaurant and the food tastes better and better every time we go. Last time we were there, without us asking... He sent our meal back to be done properly because it wasnt done to his standards - best Prawn & Chicken Schnitzel meal weve ever had. With a super light and crispy calamari like no other. The spur prices have really gone up, but the free kiddies meals on birthdays - the regular R50 family card voucher - and the fact that if I do splurge and go with the mega Big Bear Combo... I know Ill at least get to take a doggie bag for a second supper - making it totally worth it! Keep up the high standards and good work guys

Coffee is great but I must say I was Disappointed in the portion sizes of the breakfast. I went for breakfast and was expecting generous portion sizes with that famous spur taste. But got such a little chips, small portion of mushrooms and they did not have any coffee beans left which was weird considering it was the breakfast rush. Taste wise, spur is always good

Super Impressed with Andrew, Inge and waitress who made my 40th bday breakfast so awesome (11th Apr 2021). From having a table decorated to a surprise waffle on the house, to lovely breakfast. It was amazing. Thank you for all the effort and going all out.

Shout out to the fathers day chef. Had take away. The stakes were cooked to perfection. First time I enjoyed a take away from tomahawk spur like that. Keep it up.Hope my next take away will be to the same standard.

As always Andrew is so efficient. He even remembered our previous order from a month back and asked us of wed like to order the same.One doesnt get service like that anymore so its quite refreshing.The food is also great. Their side of onions is crispy and not drenched in a blob of oil like at other branches.

All staff are friendly especially manager we were there the week before and he remembered and came to say welcome back again I was so surprised its not everyone that takes note of their customers.The place is very welcoming and food is very nice.Will be seeing us soon🙂👌🤍

The one cheddar melt steak was nice and soft.... My goodness my partners one was as hard as a rock and horrible the hot veges were so so too.The mushroom sauce was perfect

Attended a kids birthday party and had an awesome experience. Food was done to perfection and came promptly. Andrew and Yvonne were amazing. Restaurant was clean and proper Covid protocols were adhered to at all times.

Now who thawt a Spur restaurant had a Masala Steak sandwich on their menu, this one does and pretty good too

The service from waiter staff is ok. However overall store ambiance was lacking . Staff made it seem as if they were alone in the restaurant. Also it would be good to see the owners more often like before....

What can you say? Its Spur. Their food is good. Service pretty standard and good social distancing procedures set. Great if you just feel like eating out but not knowing where to go. Even better for a family outing.

Service is dismal. Food served cold. Waited close to an hour for our food. Its not busy at all! I asked for med-well t-bone, it was dry, tasteless, and cold! Asked for veggies, but was told that theyre being cooked. Play area was closed, due to no attendants to watch the kids. Kids get restless when sitting around a table. Service is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo pathetic. No stars at all!

Very comfy and peaceful atmosphere waiters know their job food yummy as usual. Halaal certified ...just wish though Spur will add a halaal one in the Helderberg area 😔😔

The best spur in cape town hands down. 10 points keep coming back for the best service. Management that checks up on clients and the food is always on point .Better than waterfront. Observatory. Claremont. And Ottery. Hands down. The best spur in the cape.

Never a dull and disappointed moment

Had a piece of eggshell in my tomato.Even in this time of covid where they are supposed to be extra careful and vigilant on preparation. My very first visit and a very bad experience. Management only came to the table after I mentioned the egg shell. Not like the other Spurs where they do random check ups.

Steak was soft and tender. The lamb chops was mostly fat. Everything else was good including service.

In the mood for steak, havent been able to treat myself in a very long time... arrive almost no patrons in store... awesome you would think...after my meal i was promptly handed my bill...i hadnt asked for it, the waitress wasnt leaving..she just decided I had had consumed enough and needed to leave!!!Nevermind that I really wanted desert and a takeaway for later. As goodness knows when Id be able to afford another treat... I feel as though my patronage to this Spur was unwanted and not needed...although I have been going to the same Spur with my kids for years...did I speak to a manager? Yes I did... offered me desert on the house...no thank you...I refuse stay a minute longer where I am unwanted... I will never be back to this Spur...

I celebrated my birthday at Spur today...so dissapointed in the food 😠my daughters food (steak) was not prepared the way it was requested....she even got chips instead of hot veg as ordered....my 600 gram ribs was burnt...I will never return to that Spur
