This was an amazing stop over for citysightseeing bus. I had my lunch here. Although the stop is intended for the penguins at boulders beach. This made my day. The Seaforth seafood platter is a must try, thanks for our guide Rico for recommending it. Love to come back here on my next trip. From Philippines with lots of love.
Manager and wife? and all staff very friendly and attentive. Food arrived quickly. I ordered fish and chips - chips were pretty unpleasant, either slightly undercooked or just hard. Fish good but a little dry.Great views and lively ambience. Great draught beer if a little steep at R50. Easter Sunday.
Food always promptly served and the warm and friendly smile is never absent at service and managerial levels
Excellent. Delicious seafood nd very reasonable prices. Service is FAST. FASTEST ever milkshake delivered. Management present and makes you feel like family. Hidden gem
Absolutely disgusting manager. The verbal abuse to the elderly is awful! So unhelpful, over priced and the youre almost guaranteed to have something of yours stolen so keep your eyes WIDE open if you go here. Terrible Terrible Terrible!! Cant believe this place is actually open still :(
Lovely setting on the deck. Wonderful view of the penguins and seagulls on Seaforth Beach. Cant wait to try out the menu.
The best seafood platter I have had, tender calamari strips, succulent hake with a crispy crumb topping. The waitress was very friendly and the manager on point. Spectacular view from the deckWill return!
Views are spectacular, penguins nearby are cute, service is friendly and attentive, the food was okay. The platter for one, is definitely enough for two. Overall a good spot.
Excellent food, excellent view from the deck, and a lovely warm fire inside when the sun set.
Felt extremely sick after eating the oysters. Would definitely not recommended this place.
Absolutely amazing love the atmosphere staff was very friendly
Impeccable service and food. They went out of their way to make me and my family welcomed. The food was of a high standard and very delish. And they have specials that you just cant ignore. Cant wait to make a turn there again.
Loved the view from the deck and the mussels in the creamy sauce was divine♥️
Service, Food and beautiful views all rate 5 stars.
Always a nice experience. They had a new dish on the menu, Paella, was delicious. The deep fried calamari was disappointing. It was tough and over-cooked. But the views are amazing, they are right on the beachfront and the penguins often swim around there.
Great views and good food.
The food was great, service was prompt. Sadly it was empty so no atmosphere. Will return
Food, service and vibe was fantastic!!Tx Adiel!
One of our favorite spots.
Food was excellent prices Goodland service worth 5 stars
Awesome location. On the beach...penguins strolling around. Calamari is great! Fish and chips too....makes a great combo. Some excellent cocktails as well. Menu caters well for everyone and a decent wine list. Service was decent and we went back twice to enjoy the hospitality and setting. All and all very cool spot.
Just had the BEST seafood lunch!Service excellent. Everything SO fresh, generous proportions and with a view to die for.Going home to nap. The best way to come out of Covid hibernation!
Our Valentines lunch was amazing. Geraldine is an excellent waitress. The view is stunning.
Lovely holiday atmosphere sitting in the sunshine on the deck. Great friendly service by Belinda . The crumbed fish with creamy prawn garlic sauce was divine ! Their specials are fantastic and so reasonably priced. Glad they are open again.
Lovely views right on the beach, penguins in the distance enjoying the sun, freindly service, my seafood platter for one was excellent value for money, will visit again
We had a penguin experience there having to see alot of penguins. Staff and manager gives great service. You overlook the rocky sea and swimming area of the beach. We had a wonderful time. Food was also great.
Good food.
Fantastic service, delicious food, value for your money, wonderful atmosphere & a Spectacular view to top it off. Definitely returning soon. Well done Seaforth team😁😁
Magnificent sea views and staff friendly and welcoming!
What an incredibly beautiful setting to have a meal or drinks outside on the deck overlooking waters edge beach, lovely.
Wow! Great spot and value for money excellent. Food is excellent and service is impeccable . If youre in Simons Town YOU MUST VISIT this spot. We will be returning!
Excellent service and great food!
Food and service was exceptional. Views of penguins in the distance and lovely breeze makes for a great spot.
Great calamari, great fish, fantastic view, will come again
A beautiful day, a pleasant drive along the beaches of The Cape and a delicious lunch at Seaforth Restaurant in Simons Town, thats what i call a blessing. Our first visit included a owners welcome, friendly service and most delicious mussel starter, seafood platter and kingklip with rice special, topped off with some Devils Peak n/a beer. We loved the seaside deck view, the tasty food and amidst the covid impact, the every effort to exceed all of our expectations and so much more. The only downside is that it aint situated in the Northern Suburbs(loved the outing though) 😁. Thank you to everyone that contributed, we appreciate it. We will be back soon. Blessings 🙏👍💯😀
We had a really enjoyable and very relaxed lunch. Basic seafood options as well as burgers, done well (calamari, battered hake, etc.)Dessert options also small selection but good (malva pudding and ice cream, ice cream and choc sauce, pavlova). And positioned almost on the water.
Our first visit here ! Great setting - amazing value for their food - will be back ! So glad we found this spot
We really enjoyed our lunch here. I had the fish pie which was delicious and will go back for that again one day soon. I almost deducted one star for serving 200ml cans of soft drinks - really thats a poor show and very disappointing. The location, meal and service compensated for it but really? 🙄
The outside seating is with a beautiful view of the ocean and penguins.
Lovely restaurant set on Seaforth Beach. Gorgeous views of sea and mountains. Food is delicious. Staff always friendly and helpful!
Ordered a platter. The kingklip was not cooked and had to go back They just took the same piece and cooked it further. Was definitely cooked from frozen. The waitron offered excellent service. The curry was very nice. But for the price and reputation I was a bit disappointed. As a group we spent almost R4k and it was nothing extraordinary.
Very well looked after, very lovely staff. The food - not exciting as all. The restaurant and bar is all very nicely done too. The views with the evening sun are worth going for! We watched the penguins retiring to bed leaving their beautiful little beach, and the seagulls going mad. The lights of the villages all around False Bay really begin to sparkle.
Great food and excellent service. My guests never complain about the quality of the food even if I come with 50 of them.Decent wines on offer.Great view on Seaforth beach.
We stopped here for lunch on our trip to Simons Town, and we were very impressed with our experience. The service was great, considering we were a party of 8, all paying on separate checks. I only ordered the squid salad, as I wasnt very hungry, but I was extremely pleased with it. It was DELICIOUS. I really appreciated the outdoor seating with a view of the beach, and I will absolutely return here if Im ever in Simons Town again.
We were very happy with the food. And it was nice to have our table reserved when we delayed, needing to report a lost bag. The day was so beautifull! A perfect spot to eat and look out over False Bay while listening to the chatter of all the people and to the sea. it is almost like being a happy penguin on a happy colony.
Food is amazing but the service is really questionable. We left and the waitress ran after us asking for service charges which was just tips. We left the balance as tips already. Seriously?! She even said u can pay for it!!!! Please, is this the restaurants mistake for not clarifying the payment or it is the waitress fault?
We were there in the very late afternoon. Their biggest asset is their location. We sat outside on the deck and it was lovely to watch the penguins waddling around in the beach, as it is in close proximity to the penguin sanctuary.Everyone in our party of six enjoyed their meal. I did not pay for any part of the meal, so cannot comment on prices and value for money. At the time we were there, the restaurant was very quiet and it was a pleasure to sit out on the deck. There was only one other table occupied.I am not sure if it would be quite so peaceful and relaxing in the day, should there be many people on the beach and the grass bank right next to the restaurant. While the deck is lovely, the restaurant interior leaves much to be desired. It also seems as if people just wanting to have a drink, are not allowed or encouraged to sit on the outside deck. This seems to be for people who are having a meal only.Staff and management did not appear especially friendly and welcoming when first arriving.I should imagine that they cater mostly for tourists and probably get away with a lot, purely because of their great location.
Tourist trap. Overpriced and robotic, unfriendly staff. Rather go down the road to Saveur where youll get top quality food for less.
We visited Seaforth on 3 occasions and food was always excellent. Really cool views too
Great service. Super speedy. Divine food. Friendly waiter Captain Kelly was the bomb! Pur visit visit but will definitely be back...soon!
