Very chilled place. Always choose to sit by the window. Service never takes too long. The food is fresh. I either go for their stake, ribs or my favourite pokebowl. The bathroom is outside and it requires coins to go in. But ask the waiters, they have a tag for customers and they will open for you. Oh... Place is clean.

Very disappointing. Went there especially for Tues sushi special. Were advised by 2 waitresses not a good idea, the wait is too long! Ordered food. 3 guests, 2 guests meals arrived together, 3rd guest 5 minutes later, with the result food got cold for 1st 2! While food wasnt too bad, salad was wilted and old! Had definitely been standing for a while. No visit to the table from the manager, as was the habit with previous management. Wont be on our list of good restaurants any longer!

We had TERRIBLE experience here. Been waiting 2 hours for our sushi here. We booked in advance for a table of 6. Not like they didnt know we were coming. Nobody has come up to the table to apologize. We have to keep getting up to tell them to cancel parts of our order. Tokai branch.

If it comes to seafood, this is our go to place. Service fast and competent, food excellent.Even though it is quite a distance for us, we sometimes drive that extra mile, money and Corona permitting.

Ordered the East Coast fish pot, tasty but nothing exceptional, Sue ordered Calamari, again nothing exceptional, standard fare. Didnt enjoy the music which was far too loud, probably to move diners out as quickly as possible, our waiter was freindly and knowledgeable, doesnt warrent a return visit

It was a late lunch or early dinner at 16h00 on a Saturday so was very quiet, but pleasant.The food was surprisingly good. We had the Mussels in a creamy onion sauce and the Seafood with noodles. All very tasty and filling.Would definitely recommend.

The service was bad, my family and I walked in. And waited on a table as the one we preferred was inside. However, once seated the table wasnt santised from the previous customers. We waited for a period to get our drinks and starters order taken. After that we waited for the starters and drinks. A couple who came in after us was served with their order before us. There was no communication about any delay and the waiter just didnt come off enthusiastic or interested. The manager doesnt check on his customers, and we left. Upon receiving the bill the sweets fell out before our table, the waitor didnt even bother to pick this up. Just dropped the bill and went on.

The worst place i have ever eaten the service is non existant the manager had to remind staff thrice for us to be seated. And waiter who looked like he was still suffering the after effects of last nights party for the most ignored us and patrons who arrived after us received their food before us even though we had already ordered. The manager never once checked on his patrons rather sat with his laptop in his own world. Wil never be visiting that establishment ever again

Arrived there at 11h50 today. Closed sign up, but operating hours said open from 11h00. Stood at the door and was ignored by the manager that walked past twice. Finally a staff member arrived to work and I enquired about opening time. He had no clue. He had to ask a colleague and then said probably at 1 because they must clean...

We were here a year or so ago and were not happy. but on eating here yesterday we decided to return. l must say they have really upped their game. great meals and good value. nice location. and good sushi menu. also the good old sushi roundabout. our waitron Randy was a star. very attentive and fast. if you were also disappointed here in the past its worth coming back. if you have never been . Try it.

Friendly and very professional team, very organized, work well together, love their craft, people and food are their passion, they aim to please and do it with ease, no effort at all. The food, desserts, drinks were top class! One eats the same meals at classy restaurants where one pays top dollar, at CT Fish Market Tokai Steenberg, they are not stingy with their servings, it was worth the drive from the northern suburbs.

There is not a thing that needs to be changed. Excellent service. Food was divine. Atmosphere perfect. I would advise anyone to go there. Especially on a Monday. Booking is essential though.

Good sushi but a little over priced . Mostly good experiences here but sometimes they put smoked salmon in their sushi, and some other weird ideas. Terrible. But it is a nice place with friendly staff. there are more affordable places to go for Sushi in Cape Town.

U have never had fresher fish

I am normally a fan of CTFM.That is where the positives about it stops as this branch is unfortunately a huge contrasting downer for the brand. It is evident that training of staff is something that was never done. There is a total lack of interest in the client and most of the waiting staff are absent or on their phones. I did not get to the food. Disappointing. 1 Star cause I need to activate the Post button. Also not my first complaint as I always give everyone a second chance. First time was even worse.

Previously I slated the service, but Cape Town Fish Market has come good. I really enjoyed their sushi and surf and turf dish. Well done nice return to form.

I enjoyed the fried hake and stir fried vegetables. I would however order the grilled hake next time as my friends grilled hake looked very nice. The price at R58.00 is very reasonable plus they had a special on the Stella Artois beer buy one get one free for R30.00. 👍

Went for their birthday celebration and was pleasantly surprised. Had a wonderful meal in a lovely atmosphere. Took a little for the food to come out but well worth the wait.

I am a vegetarian, and obviously the Cape Town Fish Market is not vegetarian friendly, but I treated my wife who loves her seafood. My main meal consisted of five side dishes, potato wedges, savoury rice, vegetables, onion rings and mash, which was served on one big plate, and which was delicious. Sharon had sushi and mussels, and she loved them. We had a cheesecake dessert, which was very tasty, and we will definitely visit again.

Really enjoyed the sushi dishes. Spacious Restaurant with a bit of a view. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Service is top notch! Recommend the fish and/or burger special on Mondays. Get there early. Their Tartare sauce is the best I ever tasted and compliments the fish very well.

😊Top of the range. I found their menu tempting and the dishes exciting. I love the eating game and here they help you to play it. CTFM are tops. Love it..... especially the SUSHI.

Probably an unfair rating as Ive hardly had any concerns at this branch. But this is based on my experience 30mins ago. Ordered burger special and it was below rare. Had same burger done placed on grill again. Waiters were nice and accommodating but the Burger tasted awful. Sorry CTFM, Im sure its a once off and will still continue to support.

Fish market is always my favourite, delicious seafood and good customer service. Tokia didnt disappoint also.

Friendly service and decent food. Smokers to stand outside as no smoking is allowed on balcony. They could do with a few more waiters as our waiter was bouncing between tables. Ordered the west coast pot with a side of yellow rice. It was tasty and filling however the rice could have been boiled a bit longer.

Service was slow (had to get up to find waiter) despite there being only 3 occupied tables in restaurant. Sushi was also just average. Brand, menu, vibe & space needs a little revamp in order to stay competitive and relevant!

Pretty much the same as all CTFM outlets. Perfectly edible food at perfectly acceptable prices. Service friendly and efficient but atmosphere a little depressing as it is a masdive restaurant and we were the only table. Biggest benefit is my car is being washed while I have lunch!!

Fish & chips shop trying hard to be upmarket. Unsuccessfully so. No air conditioning means you cannot trust the hygienic situation in this place. How can you serve raw fish in a hot, humid place? This business has seen its days. Stay away folks.

We had seafood noodles. Prawns very skimpy. We queried and were told there should be 6 prawns we only received 3 per portion. They then brought the rest of the prawns. Incorrect charges for meal which was on a special. The bill had to be rectified.

This places poke ball was ok, it was spicy even though they said they put no spice. I liked the seafood noodles. There is rarely anyone here though(16:57)
