Fabulous venue for kids to play and adventure out on their bikes. The set up is truly great. Good food especially the sushi! A must to try is their caramel popcorn Creme brûlée ❤️Love this place … just at times the waitress has to be summoned… and the pizzas can be too crispy and thin.

Extremely disappointed that we (3people) could not be seated on Sunday, last week. Your manager Jay-Jay explicitly told me that you are SO popular! I truly feel you could have a small section open for walk-ins. My guests were from P.E. and certainly wont be promoting your establishment. We left and went to another nearby wine estate. Shame on you! I hope you stay popular!!

Calm tucked in venue. Very serene. Entry level Brut (Graham) is quite steep (at least at the time of visitation).Large play area for kids, very family conscious.Staff very friendly and accommodating. Restroom facilities very neat. Wheelchair access very thoughtful, no unreasonable inclines.Food was delicious, I recommend the Beyond Burger for vegetarians, vegans or pescatarians.

Great for the kids and adults alike. Make sure to book well in advance. Besides the playground there is also a bike track just above the restaurant. Did not have an opportunity to visit the rose garden but it looks like a great area to relax with friends and family if you can get the kids away from the playground.

Outstanding meals. Granddaughter loved the mushroom burger with seasonal veggies. Daughter and I chose fish cooked in beer batter with chips. Excellent, followed by desserts which also proved delectable.

Beautiful venue, has a large, practical play area for kids, this is always a winner. Menu was on the pricy side, your wallet is gonna put you in the naughty corner, at the same time your mouth and tummy will thank you.The fries that came with the kiddies cheese burger were delicious but the kids complained they stingied the cheese.My pork belly was on the dry stringy side however the accompanying stir fry & egg noodles blew my mind.I would recommend the Moroccan lamb pizza, thin base, flame baked....they nailed it. Mouth watering.So as you can see while some elements are average at the same time others are really great.

Bon Amis is the restaurant set on the Bloemendal estate. The estate has a lovely tranquel setting, offering a restaurant, winetasting facility the Barrel as well as a number of venues for private functions. It also has a quad bike track which is quite popular.

Weve been there only twice. First time almost two years ago. Last time purely because we forgot that it is a place perfect for families with children, meaning not the oasis of peace and calm. Luckily during this visit there was live music which was an interesting experience (80s and 90s hits). The service was very nice, despite the place being very busy. The food was very good with quite large portions, the dessert was delicious!

The service was exceptionally slow, even after the waiter warned us that it would be. Food was OK, but not to the extent that it justified the price. Nice play area for kidsWont return.

Wonderful afternoon spent at Bon Amis. Great variety of meals available. Portions are very generous too. Chilled atmosphere with live music pleasant music which did not interfere with conversations. Highly recommended. Pizza had a thin crispy base.

Lovely for kids outside. The only issue for me is they are massively expensive. I feel the food doesn’t deserve to be that expensive. Its not bad, but it’s definitely not fine dining.

Food was terrible. Apparently a Waygu steak burger is just an excuse for a low quality patty that tasted like it was purchased at the discount butchers... the fish from the fish and chips was almost at expiry date... ribs were still half frozen but at least covered in sauce... pizzas run extremely lean on toppings. one juice took nearly half an hour to get to our table, but a beer nobody ordered appeared mid meal. Extremely disappointed by the service, the food and judging by the look of the other patrons seated around, we were not alone.

The venue is nice enough, popular with families and some nice staff members.The food was expensive, inconsistent of freshness, or too salty, not heated fully, and side veggies were oily.Almost the whole table I was with had some mild disappointment.(Stale bread with tiny todays soup for a whopping R75)!Our waiter Archie was very nice and attended us well.And the manager did want us to be happy, with good honorable intentions.But the food was just not good in our opinions, eg the prices for what you got.The tiny soup of the day was tastie I must say, but stale bread, that was a bit not OK), someone said their burger was good. But everyone felt somewhat disappointed.I probably wont return. When a venue in a pretty spot and versatile for its visitors, I guess the establishment rekons it can get away with some things it shouldnt be doing. A pity. Could be better with a few touch ups in the kitchen. But it was a nice day and thankfully nice people.

One of the best play areas for kids between 2 and 10 years old, which is why we keep going back. Its certainly not for the mediocre, yet mostly overpriced food. Our breakfast food experience was average (sausage was super dry). So the next time we tried the pizza which was a big disappointment too. Such a beautiful venue with so much to offer and they are often fully booked. However, sadly our food and service experience have been underwhelming.. good coffee, good milkshakes, good wine and beer list. Lots of reasons to go, hoping to find something that tastes good next time.

Just fabulous! Good COVID protocols observed so one feels really safe taking off the mask for eating etc. Food was divine - mussel starter was yummy and the pizza, definitely one of the best Ive had in ages. Bloemendal wine also delicious. Children friendly - didnt see my nephew apart from a few seconds as was so busy enjoying himself with other children on the trampoline and in play area, which is great for letting the folks enjoy some well needed adult time. Beautiful place to chill and not too far to drive.

Beautiful space and the bloemendal wine tasting with ice-cream pairing was incredible. However the night was ruined because the manager at Bon Amis has terrible people skills. My cousin booked three tables for her Birthday and so after the wine tasting we went to the restaurant for dinner. The food was incredible and waiters were amazing however during the singing of the happy birthday song my cousin was rudely interrupted and asked for the table to lower their voice. Turned out a bride decided to also book 3 tables for her wedding dinner (firstly a booking for a reception dinner in an open restaurant? And booking 3 of the like 20 tables only? Not requesting private space and been place next to two tables celebrating a birthdays... Clearly this was horribly planned on her side and the seating was poorly planned by the restaurant but on the request of said bride my cousin was stopped and ask to lower our voices) one of our friends decided to go and speak to said manager for ruining the moment and spoiling the mood of our table and when I went outside to see what was happening the manager was shouting at her.Truly this restaurant is in desperate need of customer service relations, hospitality management and off course proper planning. As often as I did visit Bloemendal & Bon Amis I most certainly will not be returning for the risk of having another special moment ruined because of poor customer skills.

Hostess and waiter was exceptional for my Moms birthday celebration. Food was great and all guests received their meals at the same time. That was impressive for a group of 20.

One of my favourite restaurants. Absolutely beautiful inside... Definitely perfect for an intimate setting such as a baby shower, birthday, or family gathering, etc. They also have a relaxing outdoor setting with a nice play area for kids.

Sorry team Bon Amis - you going to up your mid week game . What happened to the basics ? No complimentary bread , No ambience ( Not even a flower on the table - It was like eating at any ordinary festival foodstal - except off course the price . Come now guys - In these challenging times please delight your customers . Friendly waiter was the highlight of my evening.

There is a big kids play area in front, and a mountain bike course next to the restaurant. Have been there twice and they seem to be always booked so suggest booking in advance. However you can walk past the main restaurant towards the bike course and you will find nice place with tables under trees. Their pizza is wood fired so really good taste.

If you are looking for a kid-friendly restaurant, this is it. Big outside playing area. With a seasonal menu the selections never are boring and the wood fire pizza are always a popular within the group.

You can spend hours here under the trees feasting on the gorgeous food!

All the outside tables were reserved but the place is nice, nie playground for the kids and there a outside lounge if the kids are too noisy

The food was lovely. The bathrooms however were dirty, the furniture run down and the place overall could do with a good scrub down.

The food was lovely when it eventually arrived due to the shockingly slow service. Booked for 1pm, was served our food at 3pm. Several meals were delivered to our table meant for another table. Understaffed for the booked patrons.

Bon Ami never disappoints!! I made a late Birthday booking for a table of 12 on a busy Sunday. I was graciously accommodatedi in extra space, which couldnt have been nicer. Had a great and professional waiter who served us well. Food was amazing too! Well done and thank you.

Quite average. Snobbish maitre d, did not make me feel welcome at all. The waiter made up for that though. Breakfast was straight forward and honestly, without imagination. If you come for the cycling routes and exercise, and then a breakfast, this is for you. If you come just for breakfast, expect average.

Such an awesome child friendly restaurant

Expected amazing gourmet burgers for the price they ask for it. The burgers were very small and very basic. Nothing special at all. You also have to pay extra if you want a healthier side like sweet patato fries. We were disappointed and still hungry when we left.

Not very good value for money, pizza we had had a teaspoon of lamb on each slice and onion rings not crisped, tasted like it was warmed in the microwave. Very disappointing

Pizza is really good and the buy 1 get one free option on a Thursday doesnt affect the quality.

Took my family and folks out for Thursday pizza/pasta 2for1 special. Super thin crust was a bonus, toppings were tasty. Staff were friendly. Only negative point was the afternoon sun (5-6.30pm) was blinding for 1/2 our table and noticed this with other patrons.

Food is very tasty and good portion size. Lovely local wine.
