The portion of the food is really good and the food tasted great, no wonder it was way too full the past Saterday.

Terrible service! Arrived and screened for Covid-19, was seated at my table and then left without any waitron assisting me with asking if I’d like to order anything. I waited for over 10 minutes, then got up and left. The staff at the door weren’t at all concerned when I walked out, they didn’t even ask me, this after seating me some 10 minutes prior. Don’t bother supporting this restaurant, the staff are obviously not interested in serving their customers.

We had so much fun. Due to Covid-19 we hadnt been out in abit so being able to enjoy the lekker company of my crew and good food was great. Our server and her service was excellent so friendly. The food was a bonus!

Been there a few times. Beautiful view if you get a window seat. But staff are not great :( Seem disinterested and distracted. Food gets dumped, not placed in front of you. Even overhead one complain to customers that he was tired. Wouldnt have gone back but kids insisted

Very busy, but they are able to handle a full house, works appreciate more interaction when the concierge asking if patrons are okay.

We ordered peri peri half chicken. When we cut into the chicken it was cold inside, send it back, received a new plate of food with another helping of cold chicken. Told waitress we would just eat it as we have waited long enough 🙄.

They dont have a taste for life anymore. Order was wrong, I wasnt offered a baby chair, I have to ask for wet wipes even though everyone had ribs at the table.

I have loved the Spur ever since the 1960s. Their burgers, chips and onion rings have been tasty and consistent forever.When I popped into the Santa Ana Spur today, the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Covid protocols are followed, from temperature and address taking, as well as a number of tables not available for social distancing.My waitron was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious as usual.

We ordered the ranch breakfast and asked for medium rare steaks, it was well done, the pork bangers was under cooked and we had to send it back. I am sure they normally good, but we didnt have a great experience. Staff was very understanding and friendly

Food was ok, service was a bit slow and they forgot about my side salad twice to, the point where I just told them to leave it as I had already finished my meal.

I went to Spur at the Waterfront the food was great but I did not appreciate the underhandedness of the waitress, who brought a bill that showed a tax charge of 20% of my bill. I then I asked her if this was the tip and she said no, and I even added a tip on top of that. Thinking about now the prices on the menu are inclusive of vat so I have now actually ended up tipping her 30% that is just not right.

View of table mountain is superb. All normal spur food but the only attraction is Table Mountain.

A firm family favorite of ours. As can be expected the food was great and the service excellent. The only downside for me is the play area that is too small for the volume of children that the restaurant can accommodate. Other Spurs have bigger play areas with both play apparatus and gaming consoles for the older children, a move that Santa Ana Spur might consider. As a result only 2 of my 3 children could play. I was happy with the screen that was available to watch them play in the play area while we ate.

My entire family had food poisoning from the Ribs special. Including my ELDERLY parents and my toddler who had eaten some off of our plate. We are currently going through it and hope this is not going to get worse.

THIS SPUR RUINED MY DAY. I truly believe that spur has gone down hill. I waited for over an hours outside just for food I couldve made myself. The presentation was dog water, everything was just thrown on the plate, the tomato with the breakfast wasnt even cooked in the pan, IT WAS HARD AND STRAIGHT FROM THE FARM, and lets not get started on the toast, actually it wasnt even toast, it was JUST WARM BREAD, it wasnt even crispy. The service was all over the place and the we had it was just BAD. to send the lattes back 4 TIMES?! what evens.

I havent been to Spur in a very long time, smelling the food was such a familiar, almost home smell 👌 it was amazing even after all this time, the food smells and tastes great. They havent lost that Spur vibe, rejoicing and singing throughout the restaurant. The energy is contagious 😊👌

Visiting Cape Town then visiting the VA Waterfront Santa Ana Spur is a must. The photo is the beautifull view you can expect apart from the amazing food and delightfully friendly staff once done go on one of the boats trip, just loved it 😀 We drove to the VA waterfront every day during our week stay at DÄria , love the setting

Beautiful location at the waterfront. The view is amazing! It is quite busy..or rather was very busy when we visited. The waiting to be shown where to seat didnt take too long but the food took so so long. The kids order came fast but still after quite a wait.Service is okay, no personal touch. I wish the staff were friendlier.The food was tasty. The signature onion rings the best here that at their counterparts in my country.

Nice steak!!!! Love the texture of the steak. Soft and tender calamari too! Must order. If you are a fan of cheesecake, maybe this place is not the right place for you.

Best chicken schnitzel Ive ever had... while it was still hot.Plate was ice cold when it arrived and I was sitting outside so my food got cold quite quickly😩What happened to the warmed plates Spur?

Poor service, bathrooms were dirty, ordered half chicken with roll, the roll was cold and old. Play area was chaotic.

Had the best going away lunch at this Spur. Exceptional service and massive portions. The customers were also extremely friendly. Our waitress was outstanding.

Its difficult for a chef to know how the client wants their chicken. A member of our enterouge felt their chicken was raw. I take my hat off to the management how they dealt with this situation. We all enjoyed our meal there

The service for take away customers is bad, waited 45 min yet Im 1st on the queue just to place an order. Just to name one of the staff (leko), only focused on tips. When the orders come after about 35min, its a wrong order or not parked correctly.I wont recommend the place at all.

I hadnt been to Spur in about 5 years and decided while walking around the V&A to grab a quick meal.I was completely blown away by the level of service, probably the best service you will receive in the Waterfront. The Buffalo Wings were cooked to perfection and arrived hot and tender. Will definitely return to this Spur branch soon for another great experience!

Food is ok,I just wish this trend of serving food on a chopping board will come to end now.I appreciate my food on a plate its more practical and I also dont have to ingest bit of soggy paper with my food

This Spur franchise is at a great location with good views and a great vibe. Enjoyed my food but I didnt enjoy the way the onion rings were made at this particular Spur. We also sat outside and kept on being bothered by sea gulls wanting us to throw food their way but otherwise the service was good and the food was too.

Im giving our waiter David more than 5 stars because his service was amazing. But it stops right there unfortunately...Kitchen staff should be trained accordingly of how the menu should be. Ie: toast and avo - Should not be bread and avo. Ordered breakfast and before we were done our toast arrived.Not looking for compensation on food. Just jack up on the kitchen side - Staff need to be trained.

Delicious food, great service and awesome view and atmosphere. I ordered a cappuccino and the Kickstarter breakfast which came with the cheesiest sauce - YUM!Its a perfect stop to make just before sightseeing around the V & A waterfront. I recommend sitting towards the back of the restaurant or even better, try to sit outside on warmer days to get an epic view of Table Mountain, the waterfront and the Cape Town CBD.

The food was great but the service was not.We waited long for our starters. Our waiter didnt even bother to come ask if we were fine and needed anything else. Once our main meal eventually arrived, he also disappeared and we had to ask two other waiters that walked passed to get us some water and takeaway bags

The service was very good just a pity that mocktails and cocktails are not available as per menu. Only made on certain days but not mentioned on the menu and flavoured water is not available.

After waiting in line for 45 minutes, we got a table outside which it took 15 minutes to get a waiter and another 5 to get menus. It was a further 30 minutes to get our food.I under it was busy yesterday but at least the treatment should have been better upon arrival and at the table.So disappointed.

This Spur was overwhelmed by the amount of customers that showed up, so we waited forever for service and our food.The food was above average when it arrived.

Not sure what changed but service is absolutely horrible with staff arguing on the floor, long wait times for food and an overall lackluster experience with staff looking like they doing me a favor taking my order. Would definitely not recommend and the last time I will visit.

I like spur ribs I always order that when I visit them but this time they were cold I had to ask the waiter to warm them for me otherwise the service was so nice.

Service was bad and the food burnt.. It took more than 45 minutes for the food to be brought to us. We are really disappointed as we were famished when being there. We ended up with them doing the ribs over and we didnt eat but brought it home.

The service was great the Ribs were dry & cold with a lot of sauce,I placed an order yesterday(17:15) of to 400g Rib combos.The Ribs were not eatable at all they tasted as if they were done in the morning.

Had a lovely experience on Valentines day...The service is absolutely amazing n the food is great but the thing that had me the most is their care for the customer n the way they are with them n to top it all they even compromised to satisfy me....i wil surely go n spend my money there again anytime....

I love Spur for their pork ribs, interior design, the vibe specially on birthdays. Santa Ana Spur in V&A Waterfront, staffs are very sharp, smiley and welcoming.
