Play area close by to tables.You can watch kids play while you eat.Quite small.No Spur staff supervising kids whilst they play.I ordered chicken livers for a starter. Large portion yet tasted strange.I couldnt finish it and fell quite ill for the entire day thereafter.Not so keen to order it again.

Covid has really ruined the restaurant experience. Despite that had a tasty meal with good service.This is my favorite branch in the Western Cape.

Was Realy looking forward to a good nicely plated dish .....bt when food arrived it was like did i order mushroom sauce and fries....and onions only. That onions look like left overs and refried a few time ordered cheddamelt burger and cheddamelt steak .....you couldnt realy tell what was what. If it wasnt for the one plate that had the roll with tomoto on😒...tasty 6🌟, presentation 1🌟 for effort and service a 5🌟

On 30 August when my wife and I went to Red Hawk Spur celebrating her birthday, I first had an encouter with my steak not being cooked properly and it was stone cold. A manageress then came to our table and brought me a medium rare steak on a sizzling plate to my liking.The second encounter was absolutely grossly disgusting as we ordered our dessert and I found a finger nail in my pecan nut sunday. I was grossed out lost my appetite and didnt want any replacement or to order something else. What is the problem with Red Hawk Spur. Im at a loss for words at the unhygienic incompetence of the staff working there.

Ribs was dry and not soft. Tasteless. Very disappointed! Spinish is tastless and no feta in it. Lock down did no good... High prices, bad food. Dont know if I want to do take aways from them anymore. Waste of money.

Stellar morning spent with an extremely leisurely breakfast, meeting with 2 friends. Something lockdown interrupted. Perfect way to spend part of a special birthday.

Spur Plumstead gave as usual great service, efficient waiter but our ribs were the worst Ive ever had at a spur in 50 years - unusual cut of meat, tough and grizzly. Staff did their best to remedy but still very grizzly - eat 2 ribs and took rest home for my pooch. Such a pity as we had been looking forward to the evening.

Our waitress was pleasant and happy to serve. I didnt wait to be seated, my food came within a good amount of time. I had nachos and some sides. I probably sat down, ordered, ate, and paid within 1 hour.I would go back another time.

We arrived at about 11.20 to find that they serve breakfast till 12pm which was just up our alley. Maybe with it being end of the month and the restaurant being very full, the service was initially quite bad, but the waitress was quite efficient and the food wasnt bad at all. Was pleasantly surprised by the latte where you get a choice of foam or cream. Definitely on par with the top coffee spots. Well done.

Delicious food 😋 service is great thanks Shona for awesome service *catch22*so last night we were there again and our funky hair colored waitress was not great and the food was average I have never seen crumbled barely melted cheese on nachos so what a change.

We placed the kiddies order early and first so that we can help them then when ours come we can eat in peace unfortunately they brought it all out together 🙈🙈

It was so meehhh.....didnt even take a pic. I had the Soya Burger, from their news plant based menu. Instead of chips, I had baked potato with garlic butter and onion rings, as well as a Virgin Mojito. Burger was dry and bland. Ive had Spur Soya Burger before, but its way better with a slice of pineapple and mushroom sauce. (Image from their website, just to give you a visual)

Just bought 3x cheese burgers and they were absolutely divine ..

Raw ribs(take away)so I only saw it at home . Was so off puting . Burger seemed to be fine(sit down) .service was fine. Onions rings were more thin shreds of oil than onions . Food isnt as good as it use to be .

Sat waiting for a waiter for nearly 20 mins, might as well have just made myself a sandwich at home.

I enjoyed the time here. Due to lockdown there werent many people and it didnt have that usual Spur atmosphere, but someone was celebrating a birthday and the birthday song being sung was still nice.Our waitress was great, very friendly and always there when we needed something. Overall the service was great. However, the quality of food at all Spurs has decreased significantly over the past few years. I had the new avo and feta burger, but there was so little avo on and the feta was pretty bland, it was almost as if I was eating a burger with just a tomato topping.Its a place Id go to for the fact that Ive been going for years and have great memories, but it wouldnt likely be in my top 10 places to eat anymore, unfortunately.

I ordered my breakfast and asked for my coffee to be served with the breakfast, it was served before the breakfast, but that was ok since it was warm enough, then the breakfast was served without the toast, I had to ask for my toast and was told that she was keeping the toast warm for me. It appears she doesnt know that clients eat their toast with the breakfast not when the toast is warm and the rest of the breakfast is cold. I was taking my friend for breakfast for his birthday. He was with me recently when we also had a problem with the service at Fisk Hoek Spur, where the coffee was forgotten and the instructions were to serve the coffee with the breakfast. Is this a training problem? Two breakfast meetings at spur in one month and the service is not good. The breakfast was tasty despite the poor service.

The food is really bad. Service is mostly good, but the food is incredibly disappointing. I would eat anywhere else.I have gone for burgers, deserts, breakfasts.Not sure if disgusting is too strong as it is mostly edible. But lets say Ill rather take my girlfriend to the Pick n Pay center than eat here. Even McDonalds is easy better than this.I had the breakfast here and the meat was chewy and tasteless. The eggs were overdone even when I asked for easy over. The mushrooms or bacon tasted of literal melted plastic. Not sure which was the actual taste, but one was bad enough that I could no longer taste anything else.Previously I had a salad, and there was a worm, the lettuce was a bit rotten, and I remember feeling uncomfortable eating it.Basically, I have no idea why Im going back. Probably because family goes sometimes.

Sure used to be great affordable food however it has become fairly priced which leaves me choosing to go to better classed restaurants were the bill would be about the same. Nevertheless I do enjoy the spur burges and waffles

Staff are always very friendly. Food is quite cheap but the fish I ordered was very oily. May be my fault for ordering fish at a steak ranch 🙃 they are very clean and follow COVID regs strictly from what I saw. Even cutlery is wrapped in plastic now and a bottle of sanitizer on every table.
