Utopia 5 Stars.... This place is great! Atmosphere is nothing but amazing staff was amazing & the breath taking views. The Manager made our evening with his fun & bubbly personality making the customers happy is their main priority. Where do i start on the food to die for from the starter to the dessert. Absolutely delicious dishes, beautiful presentation and tastes of everything was outstanding. I recommend to everyone! Ideal for those who want a romantic night out.

What a wonderful experience. Great views; great service and great food. We went for my bfs birthday and tried out their tasting menu - SUPER affordable! They also went the extra mile to make him feel special. The photos arent great due to the dark (albeit romantic) candle lighting... will definitely go again!

We went for our anniversary and received some exceptional service. The views were amazing, food was delicious and the views are breathtaking! Only critique is that their wine prices are extremely high.

Wonderful chilled vibe, very friendly staff and amazing view. The food is very delicious, I especially recommend the line fish with bean ragu. A great place to hang out with friends and great value for money.

Had a pretty great experience at Utopia. Went with my partner on a Monday and we hadnt booked a table but were lucky enough to be helped with one. Id advise that you book before because it gets quiet busy as it gets later in the afternoon/evening. The food more than just tasting great was so well prepared and cooked. The views are amazing of course as expected. Its quiet pricey but definitely worth every cent you spend.

Views and atmosphere were great. They put in a cute touch to my dessert due to the special occasion. The food overall was hit and miss. The veg soup starter was boring, as was the chilli prawns. The beef was excellent.

Fantastic restaurant with spectacular views of the city, mountain and harbour. Great service, great food! Their hand-cut chips are amazing and their springbok fillet, beef rib-eye steaks and prawns absolutely delicious. The only downside is that it is a bit pricy.

The R195 tasting menu is excellent value and top-level quality. Highly recommended experience.Shout out to Washington and the team of waitrons for the great service.

Went for drinks on a hot day at 5 p.m. There were 40-odd tables set for dinner. Only four tables for drinks in hot blazing sun. Staff would not let us have our drinks at one of the tables in shade / air con. Alas we realised the seating predicament only after ordering the quite fancy drinks otherwise we would have bolted. Note - this was 5 pm and no diners in sight, just rows and rows of empty set tables…. But no, you can’t sit here! (Not a smile in sight). We had our pricy drinks with perspiration rolling down our backs, so lefts as we could and fled. Sitting at the side of the pool in and putting my feet in the pool to cool down got the (very curt) manager rushing over telling me “the pool is not for you”. Like a bad dream! All feels a bit unreal. The drinks were good but pricey and served with zero charm or customer awareness. Cape Town has a host of happier places.

With a 360 degree view of CT, that was all I needed, but include incredible food and wine, now theres a winning combo! Their chef is astoundingly talented with flavours. All beautifully presented. We were the last table as we just couldnt leave 😋😋

Food was excellent, staff were very friendly, but the General Manager Russell was extremely rude and tainted the experience for us. The tasting menu is advertised for R195 on their website, but when we got there and had to pay it was R245 and the menu was completely different. The GM Russell was unfriendly and refused to give us the special for R195 since “we already ate the food”

Probably the best meal we have ever had. Stunning views of Cape Town, friendly staff and it must be wonderful to be a chef there... amazing food. Do yourself a favour and make sure you visit this restaurant.

We visited tonight on a perfect clear, wind free late summers evening. We had the tasting menu at the ridiculous price of R195 but we might as well have been paying top dollar for the service we received. Yes the food was sublime but not a soul was not having a vibe. And surely that is what it is all about

An unexpectedly disappointing experience, my friends and I should have rather gone to the Twelve Apostles.I made an in person reservation 1 month in advance; however, upon our arrival, the table I had booked had been replaced by another group. I had made the effort to make the booking in person to ensure the best table for my friends and myself. No-one had phoned me to tell me of this change and when I asked why our table was just given away, I was told that the general manager had made the decision and the hostess had only become aware of it the day before our reservation. She then continued to tell me that she tried calling me to confirm our booking and I did not answer,inferring that it was somehow now on me. Even so, I find it disappointing that I would only be made aware of this change a day before our reservation, which is not enough time to find an alternative or postpone.I had also emailed a week in advance to ensure that my vegan guest would be accommodated and was assured that this could be done. However, the food was quite average and not much thought was put into the vegan food served. My guest had to have the same dish twice, while being expected to pay the full price for a menu that was not worth it.The best part of the evening was the dessert which was very standard compared to other places. I must say, I had higher expectations and was quite disappointed. Had I known this was the way we would be treated as guests paying over R1500 for dinner, I would have rather invested my money elsewhere.I do hope that this review will be used as a suggestion for improvement in the future.

Delicious too. Keep up the good work. Will definitely come again and suggest your establishment to our international guests as we work at a boutique hotel in sea point 👉 Blackheath Lodge. The views are spectacular. Pity it was raining 🌧 but summer is coming so youll definitely see us again.

What a beautiful setting and incredible view! Food looked gorgeous and tasted devine! Service was good, though it seemed our waiter felt i was the one who deserved less wine and the smaller portions. As a result i was a bit disappointed. Above average all over experience.

I don’t really like stiff, fancy places, but this one, I’ll tolerate because of the phenomenal 365 degree views of the city. The food is only a flirtation with fine dining and is plated in quite a rustic, generous manner. I enjoyed my prawn starter, but would have loved some bread to mop up the sauce. Also enjoyed the hearty corn risotto, however I think it should be plated in a little bowl rather and served as a starter. To have an entire serving of rich, creamy risotto with nothing much to cut through it, is a bit much for main course. All-in-all, it’s really a more palatable type of fancy, that is kinder to your pocket and welcoming to the average Capetonian.

Had a spectacular evening, with theperfect setting, served by a very attentive, friendly and accommodating waitron Peter, delicious meals from starter to dessert. The flavors blend beautiful and definitely worth returning. 🙂👌

This place was super nice because of the view of Capetown it had. In addition to that, the food was great. Three course meal with my main dish been Prawns 🍤and mashed potatoes. It was delicious and the desert was good too. But again the view, oh the view- everything ‼️‼️‼️You should visit this place 👍🏽.

The 5 course special was good even for the price. I took it with a wine pairing which was lovely. The restaurant was full so bookings are in order.

Taster menu was incredible so was the service and views. Food is really high class quality.I was pretty upset to see octopus on the menu, personal preference I guess, but a vulnerable species non the less.Lady downstairs took 15 min to tell us which button to press on the elevator to get up even after watching us struggle which I find rude, even if it amused her, we weren’t the only customers waiting in confusion.Definitely a place for black tie apparel and a fine dining experience.

Just perfect.I would say pray for perfect weather to come here. But you dont even need to. 360 view of both table mountain and the sea. Makes this place perfect for any celebration. We visited to celebrate a friends graduation and what a pleasure it was. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had different meals because we wanted to taste test everything. In true Cape Town fashion it: it was perfect.

Great venue with amazing views. Definitely not kid friendly. It will make a great summer venue. The food was very well presented and tasty. Expect R500 a head for mains, dessert and a glass of wine. Ideal for a special celebration or a dinner club.

An absolute must for a great “Elevated Dining” experience in the mother City. Go on a day when the weather allows you to sit outside and experience the views partnered with “wow” flavours and exceptional service. Tried the tasting menu for only R250 and a must if you enjoy a variety of flavours and selection. The combination of the dishes work well and paired with a glass of wine is a lasting impression on any palette. Visit them during the week for a lunch or dinner and limited parking can be arranged undercover when available prior to your visit. On the weekends ample parking available outside. Spoil yourself as this is not a bar as previous (The Vue) now upmarket , but affordable. Will surely visit again and perfect for that date night with my wife............

Nice bar with great views across Cape town. Can get super windy and all our drinks knocked over but not the bars fault. They put extra sauce in an old fashioned to make it sweet, very odd. They made a new one for us straight away. Good staff and friendly service.

Best meal in cape Town Ive ever had. Steak was cooked to perfection. Prawns were large and cooked so well. Mains start at r250 but well worth it. Views are incredible too and the service is top class. Really had a fantastic time. Would recommend to anyone looking for an upscale lunch or dinner

Yes the view is spectacular but I am disappointed by the management attitude. Not sure if its kid friendly, went there on May 1st with my little babies to attend my sisters birthday. But they hurt my feelings by asking me to go outside with my kids because they were crying and didnt want them to walk around. I was so uncomfortable then I decided to leave. And also the food wasnt worth the price. Sorry I regret taking away this food it didnt taste nice at all.Dont go there with your kids, I felt like an outsider.The one star is for the waiter that came with his phone to try and calm my daughters, at least he understood how I felt.Really disappointed... Ive been to many restaurants with my kids I was never treated like this.Please next time tell people that your place isnt kid friendly.

Possibly the best view in Cape Town ! And the food and service do the location justice - fresh and tasty dishes and attentive professiona service. A great spot for either dinner and sunset our later dinner with the lights of the city beneath you. Would make a great spot to take visitors from out of town.

For starters, The View! Perfect location overlooking the greenpoint & waterfront surroundings! Good portions on the starters and mains, and the staff are extremely attentive! Definitely a spot to visit if you havent yet!

Utopia is one of the best views in cape town. Coupled with amazing food and you have a recipe for an amazing lunch or dinner experience. Check out their specials during winter which are amazing and massive value for money

The restaurant was a suggestion and what an unexpected surprise. The food was exceptionally good. I can highly recommend the wild mushroom sauce with your steak. The seafood was amazing. The Grande Marnier souffle was okay, the orange ice cream wonderful and the various gels lovely. I would however rather try the chocolate fondant next time.

Have been here many times and each time for a different meal of the day. Its the type of restaurant that keeps you coming back everytime. It has by far one of the best views in Cape Town, staff that is incredibly professional and friendly. I also love how theyre able to recommend meal options. Perfect place to go to if youre looking for great food, service, and views.

The place has a great vibe and some really awesome views, it has also has pool for those summer days. Please note that their prices are a bit above average so keep that in mind when visiting

Although the food was good and the waiter was attentive the hostess ruined our experience by canceling our reservation 15mins before the time because she “couldn’t get hold of me” (I do not take personal calls at work and booking online was so convenient) I reassured her we will be there and perhaps they shouldn’t allow online bookings if they have a problem with last minute cancellations instead of upsetting customers. I booked for a harbour view but we couldn’t see the harbour and was told by the hostess we have to leave by 8pm sharp as the next seating was booked (our booking was at 6pm) so it felt rushed and overall unpleasant. Probably won’t return.

Beautiful interior. Great view. Overly fussy on seating. We went for drinks on a Tuesday night 8pm. There was like 3 sets of dining customers and plenty of indoor space (kitchens generally close at 9pm) but they absolutely refused to let us sit inside despite how chilly and windy it was outside. Some management discretion necessary.
