The Oive Bistro is one of our favourite local hangs. With a relaxed outdoor vibe and friendly clientelle, you are certain to have a good time.The menu is far beyond what you would expect from a local watering hole, and every time is a cullinary adventure. I dont think I have ever repeated an order, and I have never been disappointed.The drinks menu is diverse and always has a few specials to ease the wallet and entice you to try something new.Definitely 5 star!

Went for impromptu Friday evening meal. Blown away by the positive vibe, sound of conversation, nice beer and fantastic pizzas. Staff all very friendly and on the ball. Ample parking, all Covid protocols in place and an overall wonderful experience. Will be back for more!

The Olive Bistro in Durbanville is a good option to grab something to eat or just to enjoy a couple of drinks. We visited them for dinner and had some pizza which was delicious. We also had some of the craft beers they had on tap. The restaurant is decorated in a casual beach style ensuring you feel relaxed the minute you walk in there. There is both inside and outside seating areas, and although we sat inside as it was a bit windy, the outside area was packed - clearly a favourite of the locals. The staff were also very friendly and made us feel welcome. The restaurant does have parking but it is limited, so if you want to ensure you get a parking spot arrive early. Also I recommend you make a booking for larger groups to ensure you get a good table. I also need to note that my wife tried one of their non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiris which she really enjoyed. Will definitely be visiting them again.

Great little garden area under the trees, the inside of the restaurant is small but cute and clean!The barmen knew their stuff,making great cocktails!The food portions were fair and priced well. The pizzas were delicious, lots of toppings and made in a wood fire 🔥 oven!

Despite being tucked away off street, almost all the tables were busy and turned. The chicken prego was somewhat chewy and the side sauce acidic. The wedges were lovely. A little colour on the plate will go a long way to change the bland appearance. Reasonable value for money. Acceptable service and reasonable pricing. I am told the pizzas are good and as such willing to pay it another visit.

The food was really good. Only two issues we experienced were: the Poppers coating was incredibly oily and annoying flies around our table. If I may share a tip: kindly use small potted rosemary on your tables, its a natural insect repellent.

We love coming here. Atmosphere is so casual and music in background, very Jamaican feel. 👌 I had the usual popperdews! They have been better, but still very nice filled with danish feta and mozzarella! Thereafter such an amazing Caprese Salad, felt like I was back in Italy. Churros to end off, if you have a sweet tooth, it will be amazing! Service is great!👍

This is our regular pizza hang-out. The pizzas are amazing - ingredients taste fresh and its not just slathered with lots of cheese. We find the service is also good and friendly, and prices are not exorbitant. They do get busy, so I would recommend making a reservation.

Great outdoor eating and drinks venue. Both food and drinks well priced plus on the ball waitrons. Highly recommend but would suggest booking for a Friday afternoon/evening outing. Most probably the same on a weekend regarding booking.

Casual dining.Nice to sit outside.Calamari and pitzas are good.They have an unique boerewors pitza which is nice. The Mexican pitza is my preference.

Olive Bistro 5 out of 5 Stars!!! *****What an amazing experience. Brilliant service from our waiter and the most exquisite dining experience. I have eaten at many Portuguese restaurants before and never in my travels have I ever experienced such and AMAZING Rump Trinchado!! The sauce was world class. Another special mention is the Venison Pie which was exceptional with first class Sweet Potato Fries and Veggies. The Erdinger draft special combined with a free Kleiner Spicy Cherry Liqueur was a great treat too!!

We just love their pizzas! I have never tried any of their other dishes but can honestly say that they have some of the best pizzas. They also dont skimp on the toppings and they combine so many flavors.There is a wide variety of drinks, cocktails, wine, beer, cider and a few extras... the pink Turkish delight gin is awesome!

An absolutely lovely outdoor restaurant, with nice atmosphere and very capable staff. Pizza and pasta were devine. Food is well-priced too. Enough parking. The only thing we did not like was other clients cigarette smoke that drifted towards us in the breeze. Nevertheless, well go back.

Amazing pizza. The flavours really complimented each other... Service was great with friendly staff from the manager to the security guard. The place was a bit noisy inside so it is not really for a romantic evening (unless you sit outside).

Friendly waiter. Good pizza. Beer on tap. We went early on a Sunday and It got busy about an hour after opening. Lots of space, outside area is nice and some trees around. Inside looks cool.

We were seated in a shady spot outdoors which was ideal on a hot day...and in Covid times! Our waItress was very friendly, attentive and efficient. We ordered chicken livers with toasted ciabatta bread and it was divine! A perfect balance of spice and peri-peri in the sauce and in texture between the soft smooth livers and crunchy toast. I will definitely dine here again!

The place was friendly, vibey and relaxed. Our orders were taken and delivered promptly which was great. The caprese salad was incredibly delicious. The trinchado was not what I expected unfortunately. The meat was very sinewy, hard to cut and chew. It was done medium even though I requested well done. I only managed to eat one and a half beef cubes before giving up. The sauce was lovely, as well as the Portugese roll that came with it. My hubby had the grilled calamari tubes with salad which was absolutely divine. He finished his meal and was raving about it. It was perfectly done, light and moreish. If there is a next time Id rather have the calamari and would definitely skip the trinchado.

Lovely place with friendly staff, just had a very bad experience on Friday where it took the waiter 20 min just to get a drink and then I had to ask for a glass and ice and had to wait another 20 min to get it. The food order was incorrect and cold and afterwards I ordered another drink and had to drink in warm and out of the bottle because once again the waiter did not bring a glass or ice. Dont loose clients because of your waiters that cant handle the stress of more than one table.

My husband and I had the BEST experience at The Olive Bistro!! Lisa, our waitress was awesome and recommended the most mouthwatering mushroom and lentil veggie burger! My husband had the Atlantis pizza and was totally blown away! Will definitely become a regular spot for us :)
