Visited the shop on the morning of 17 Oct 2021. Majority of the fruit and veg were way past expiry date. Rotten tomatoes and unions with mold on the shelves (flying goggas everywhere). Bought a beef roll from the butchery department, also terrible!! Did not have a great experience at all sorry.

Always get the freshest scones & yummy rock buns. Tuesday fruit & veg specials.Today bananas @R9.99 per kg. My favourite.Lovely custard & jelly mix tub & 3way ready to eat combo vegetables takeway.

Very good shop! I just dont like the Mall security because 2 weeks ago to this day l went to the bathrooms in there, a man came in and stole my phone on the sink as l was busy washing my hands. Went to the security desk asked them to look at CCTV footage so they can see the man who came in and out before me as it was only the 2 of us but they refused. From my point of view theres no need to have such a company looking after the Mall if we arent protected as customers because it was only 5 minutes after the incident so the guy could have been caught. Food Lovers very good shop by the way.

Now heres a spot with the best meat- quality, freshness and flavours.Theres also a wonderful food display to choose from, which is great for lunch on the go.I do wish they were a little cheaper, but hey if its quality you want, then its quality youll pay for and receive in full.They have a variety of fresh veggies and fruits in abundance- berries, squashes, lentils, lettuces... so many options and even combo packs, which is great for bachelors doing month end shopping.Theres also a lovely little cafe styled restaurant next to the tills, which serve the most divine breakfast, so take the family there on a Saturday morning, grab an early bite and kick start your day.

Good service and very clean store and environment. However, they sold me a rotten ox/beef liver. So be very careful when buying fresh meat from there. It is upsetting to buy pre-packaged meat and when you get home to cook it, surprise the meat is off

Its Food Lovers selling me old and stale peanuts just the other day. First those snacks by the dispensers are expensive so no one buys them, and then they dont even put fresh products in them. My peanuts taste off. Disappointing.

The shop is clean and extra tidy. If they can up their service at the sweet and nuts weighing station. On 3 occasions where I had to leave my sunflower seed, linseed as a result of non attendance of the station. Please balance that area. One other thing, please ask your bakery staff not to underestimates our pocket. One lady on that side told me how expensive are their croissants and she doesnt think I will afford it. As someone who was well upbrought, I just kept quiet and went to my next best croissant shop.

Great variety of fruits. For good deals, demystify their prices by browsing through their packing. Customer service is unfortunately not exceptional, most especially by the seed section where I had to wait for over 15 minutes before my seeds were weighed and stamped with a price by a middle aged lady. It was as though she was doing me a favor! However, the men at the store were very professional most especially those at the fruit section.Overall its a well stocked shop. I wish for a Food Lovers Market in Auckland Park soon instead of the 10km drive.

I once bought cheese cake and cream dounats yoo I couldnt finish it, it was not fresh and recently I bought croissant they are so raw. Im disappointed.

I always shop here , the security guards can be so invasive. They will follow you until you reach the till point . I really dont understand this kind of behavior in this day and age. Why not invest in cameras than following people like that? What will I steal avocados? I honestly felt out of place an I have shopped at different food lovers stores . Only this specific one . I sometimes I feel maybe its how I dress or my hair or just me being black. Its the closest to my house .

Very unhappy the chashier took out tomatoes from my box telling me she knows the numbers of the tomatoes that have to be in the box she didnt do the same to a white woman before me . I think they instruct their Zimbabwean cashiers to make black peoples life miserable in this shop . Im just tired of the behaviour in this white owned shops in the so called white suburbs . This is Afriaca where do you want us to shop ? Certain things must change in Africa this is my birth country a Zimbabwean is used to make feel uncomfortable i a joke

Well that was sub-par experience. The place was dirty and out of stock of multiple items. We thought the PicnPay was going under because of food lovers but quickly learnt that the food lovers was just as trash.

No control to sell quantities of bread ie one customer bought all the bread and left the rest of us without any bread. Upon speaking to the assistant in the bakery department to limit customers so all can be accommodated, the assistant just shrugged her shoulders!!

I would say that my overall experience of this particular branch is not bad. They generally have stock of most of the grocery items we buy regularly and even on the occasion that we make an extravagant meal. Always plenty of safe parking available.

Well stocked, reasonably priced - had and issue with the pork chops one pack of 2 was sour before expirey date but the other pack was absolutely perfect..

Sometimes its top rated and other times sub standard.Not sure if the problem is management or staff or both.

The guy working behind the fish kiosk is an absolute genius. Fileted and clean my hake in seconds and made sure the most amount of meat was preserved. Awesome service

This is probably the most unorganised food lovers I have been too in gauteng. Overcrowded with them unpacking that you cant even push your trolley down the ile cause the staff block the way with their boxes that they are unpacking. There are so many things without prices. If a person doesnt want to pay the whole fruit package deal for R50.00 you cant find the individual price on the one fruit. Frustrating experience.

The mask is big. Parking plenty and people profile very cosmopolitan. The food lovers are always present in numbers suggesting reliable and consistent good quality they have gotten used to. A great stop for convenience shopping
