Great clean store. The overall layout is a little strange but the store tried to do the best with the space they have. The have an amazing table with a selection of spices and other random, varied goodies like vegetable pasta and hemp seed powder to weigh and buy as preferred. I have never seen this at any other Food Lovers before. There is a number of cooked/prepared food stations with a range of variety. I tried the beef gyro - it was superb and filling. The store was busy during lunch but they had enough ladies manning the tills so that was great.

A very nice shop to visit. With vegetables, meat, groceries, a bakery and take aways under one roof. Fresh produce is always nice here and access to the centre where the shop is, is easy. Ample parking is available. I love their selection of herbs and spices that can be ought by weight. I adore the buffalo wings for my braai.

Well, my wife and i went to buy fruits and vegetables specifically there. What really impressed me to be honest was how humble their staff members are and professional especially those on tills. I felt more appreciated as a customer.

HiI bought cooked tripe this morning and I had to throw it away. No effort was put into cleaning it prior to cooking. I prefer to buy it cooked because I dont have the patience to do it myself and if Im spending my hard earned money in your store I expect good value. Please coach your workers or just stop selling rubbish to people.

15 mins no one at fish counter someone arrives i complain the order yellow tail ask do you fillet it answer i will try my goodness ???get home they charged x4 for 1 item never charged me for other items gives 10% on my next visit not a good experience

The best place for fresh, seasonal veggies and always a few surprise products to be found. Price specials on combos are budget friendly and most welcome. The range of spice and herbs is impressive and by my reconing the best range.

Their coffee shop has the best vegetarian burger in JHB by far 10/10. - The menu has changed 2021 and no VEG burger on menu. 👎

One of the best of the smaller food lovers out there, the fruit is usually on par with Woolies quality but much saner priced! You can also get unusual things like oyster mushrooms and that alone makes it worth the trip! Yum!

A store with a great variety of produce. I love shopping there and always come away with more than I intended to buy.There are two disabled parking bays outside and access is easy.My only complaint is that the store has no bathroom of its own, especially as it has a restaurant.

Spacious with lots of different food items to purchase. They cater for a wide variety of ethnicity with slim to none for Halaal shoppers(meat/poultry). Other than that the shop is kept clean and the team members are always willing to assist.

This place is good for quick bite and buying health fresh fruits.

Fish was request to be deboned but when I prepared the so called deboned fish, a bone got stuck in my throat which was a life threaten ING experience! The fish monger was Sibanda!

Store has everything you need but floor space seems smaller than it should be to house everything. Very crowded with narrow aisles. Have been to other Food Lovers and they dont seem so tightly packed. Service was good though. Express checkout was fast. Teller was helpful.

Variety of immediate hot and cold snacks for midday or evening meals.. ideal for the relaxed single person who wants to grab n go.Prices on salads everywhere is crazy.healthy eating is expensive.Even bakery items in general has become unaffordable it seems.Despite this I see this is a popular stop for a quick bite in the area..

Great selection of fresh goods, but they just canʼt seem to manage putting prices on all the goods. And even when they do, you check out and the specials sometimes arenʼt applied, so you have to go back to get your money back.

Nice products, abit small no social distancing while shopping

On average the vegetables and fruits are roughly 8 to 10 rands cheaper with better quality than checkers or Pick n Pay. The meat and fish is also of a better standard than checkers,Pick n Pay or spar.

I saw a big difference, since the last time I had visited Food Lovers. I was shocked to see the low stock in fruits and vegetables. This always was a shop where I was guaranteed for quality and quantity. The dairy and meat sections, admittedly, we well stocked, but not the same could be said about the fruits and veges. I sincerely hope we can blame the difficult period our country is going through for this lack in fruits and veges.

Im very unhappy with the Chicken mayo Panini i just purchased.I have a food sensitivity towards onion after buying the panini I took the first bite on my way home and discovered there is onion on the panini. This was not mentioned on the packaging and I would like a refund as I purchased a falsely advertised product. This made me extremely angry. If onions is added to the food it is your responsibility to notify someone on the packaging. Im not paying for something I cant eat. I expect a manager to get back to me to discuss the refund asap.

I am usually a very big fan of this store but some of the stuff is really dropping in standards.Case in point, Chicky Franks 1kg R50. This is the first product ever manufactured that I would expect to taste better coming out than going in. If is disgusting. Its grainy, tastes bad and has zero relation to anything chicken. I would rather have burnt my R50. I had one and promptly through the rest in the bin.

I went in for the canola two for R70 rand cooking oil yesterday and the shelf was empty. I stopped one of the staff members, who appeared to be giving instructions to other staff soI thought that he is possibly a floor supervisor or manager (they dont wear name tags so I couldnt identify him). Anyway, long story short, he just looked at me as if I were dirt under his shoes and without even bothering me with a second glance told me that what i was looking for is sold out. Nothing, about I will go and check in the back. Niks...My husband went back literally an hour later and voila....fully stocked shelf.So yes, I managed to get what I wanted but......the lack of service and unfriendliness from the experience I had is on another level. Hence my one star rating....petty? Maybe...The principle here is about great customer service vs great prices and great service will win me over each and every time. Go train your staff, we work hard to spend our money in your stores!

Has been an issue finding good fresh veggies. Its has become expected to see veggies on the shelf which is not good enough to be on the shelf. Pricing has become a bit high compared to how they used to price themselves against competitor stores in the area.
