The food was absolutely delicious. Didnt wait too long for it and had the opportunity to enjoy everything. Would definitely recommend if youre looking for a shared meal with family & friends. Very large portions. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you love authentic, fresh Thai food. The owner Anong is extremely sweet and you can taste the love and effort that she puts into her food. She even showed us how they make the rice noodles!

This is the place to visit for authentic Thai food. The flavours will take you straight to rural Thailand; the food is delicious! The service is also great and the owner Anong is friendly and welcoming. Wonderful place to relax, eat and enjoy a Thai beer as well.

Phenomenal, authentic thai restaurant in Johannesburg China Town. This was like stepping back into Thailand. The food amazing (we had the chicken satay and Pad Thai). The service is good, and they even sell some Thai ingredients such as basil and lemon grass.

Enjoyed the Thai New Years festival. Good healthy food, very hospitable people, dancing, music etc.

First time ordering from here. Ordered takeaways.Lard Nar a delicious soup with noodles. Good portion. VegetarianPhad Thai with prawns. Tasty and good portion. Comes with the condiments on the side.Pad Pak Bung Fai Daeng - this is vegetarian, the morning glory stir fried vegetables.Pad Ka-Prao, vegetarian stir fried veg with a spongy textured tofu. Simple but delicious flavour. I love the Thai basil, garlic and chilli.Green curry - ordered a vegetarian option with tofu. The tofu is spongy and absorbs all the favour of the curry.Panang Curry - Chicken. This was also flavourful with lemon grass.

Anong Thai as a wide range of dish options. Only two are vegetarian or come with vegetarian options. However, you can ask for the meat or egg to be left out. The meals we had were excellent and flavoursome, the service was friendly, and the food came quickly. Remember to tell the waitron that you dont want fish or oyster sauces or dairy in your meal if thats your preference and the chef will oblige. Thai fresh foods, sauces, and pastes are also available. Four stars because the price is a bit more than expected.

Met friends here for lunch, this was my first ever visit, definitely wont be my last. The waitress who served us was extremely friendly. The owners have done a brilliant job of making the place look authentically Thai.The food ordered was served in very quick time and delicious. They outdone themselves with their TomYum soup, this is possibly the best Ive tasted locally. Because my friends did not eat very spicy food, we ordered mainly mild. I would need to return to sample the spicy versions.Definitely recommended.

Firstly you have to know that this place isnt fancy. But the food, the service and people are good. I wasnt that hungry but when presented with a huge crab curry, so nice, I ate the lot. The booze was cheap and the service great.

I went out to visit this place during the Thai new year, what an amazing and interesting experience. The people are all so friendly and polite, the food is great. The atmosphere is just what you need to take your mind of life and enjoy the simplistic humble ways of the Thai culture!!

Twenty rands for a bowl of rice is daylight robbery even though the curry chicken was delicious the bad taste of the pricey side rice is still in my mind...a basic meal for two came to R450, not my idea of a value meal compared to Chinese competing restaurants in the area that charge R10 a bowl...The fried rice with egg is also very pricey at R80 for a single serving and R25 for a beer is what i expect to pay at a high end restaurant...

My absolute favorite Thai food restaurant in Johannesburg.. I have never had a bad meal here and the owner, Tor, is a superstar in his own right. There is super value for money as the meals are carefully made with as much flavor as possible with the best ingredients. They have increased their prices recently and I feel this is justified for the portions you get because you wont leave there hungry. I booked a birthday at this venue and had quite a lot of requests but they were totally accommodating and due to this it was an absolute banger of an event! They charged me fairly and I still had enough food to feed an army.. was amazing! Be sure to try a Thai vodka and lemondade and see if its to your liking too.They have also recently upgraded some of the decor so they are invested in making the space even better that it already is. There is a Thai spa on the premises which also comes highly recommended. Lets help keep them alive and a stable part of the joburg restaurant scene.

Pad Thai rivals the best I had in Old Phuket Town. Excellent curry and Thai cuisine presented in an authentically simple and well ventilated open seating area. Really makes one feel in a Thai bubble far away from Joburg metropolis and traffic. Their prices are affordable (especially if paired with the entertainer app) and their portions are massive, so come hungry. I highly recommend the mango sticky rice. I also noticed they serve a Chinese Hot Pot. Will definitely be returning for that!P.S. There are also a bunch of little Chinese stores that accept card nearby (being in China Town) so you can also take the time to restock your pantry with those hard-to-find/expensive Asian groceries like sesame oil and soya sauce.

By far my favourite Thai restaurant in Joburg! Dishes are authentic and always reasonably priced. The atmosphere is great too for those dining in - a welcome break from the nearby busy streets of east Joburg. Best Tom Yum in town, and the Pad Ka-Prao is always a winner as well.

Really disappointing. I had Asian guests and was embarrassed the food was so bad. Only 4 tables were occupied and they ran out of dishing up spoons so had to take the old and wash it for the new dish. Whole fish was hard it was so over cooked , no dish was even decent, very disappointing, don’t bother

Ive been to Thailand and eaten at alot of thai restaurants and this definitely is very authentic thai food in the heart of Johannesburg. Thai owners and that translates in the food. The larb moo is brilliant . I had dinner here with my family and all the dishes were awesome . Definitely worth a visit #lifeflow247
