Staff were friendly and efficient. Play place staff ensured children were regularly sanitised and always wearing a mask. Food was good.

We were a party of 6. Two people ordered medium steaks. One was done fine the other was well done. They did take the steak back and later brought a medium one but a bit too late as everyone had already eaten. The cheesy garlic roll was also hard and we could not easily bite into that. The new Mexican menu is good. Enjoyed the enchilada. Found the Buffalo wings to be a bit over done as the ends were dry and hard. Service was good but from being a Spur patron for many years, this is not the standard I am used to. They definitely need to pay more attention to the preparation of the food.

Went to treat my daughter and was badly disappointed. The service was good but the food was REALLY bad. The steaks were not cooked how we asked, they were the wrong type of steaks and very fatty. The vegetables were old, over cooked and tasted how i would imagine boiled socks would tatse. The chicken wings were revolting and cannot beleive food of this quality and standard is being served in a restuarant. Very upset my hard earned money went on this rubbish and what was supposed to be a treat night ruined.

It is a good restaurant. Unfortunately I had asked for a special order which I would get at other Spurs but unfortunately this specific spur charged me double what the others did. But I got good service and they really tried to accommodate me.

My SO and myself had our first meal here a few years ago, because of this I really want to like the restaurant but have consistently found it to be of lower quality than others.Straw that broke the camels back was when I ordered a beyond burger last week and for some reason the kitchen thought it acceptable to put a rolls Royce quality patty (amazing patty but spur doesnt make it themselves) onto a dry, flaking, roll that literally fell apart before I could even eat it. Im going to take a wild guess and say that these rolls were frozen and then thawed, or they had been standing for far too long. Whatever the reason, for this to be served on a peak evening would embarrass me. Ive ordered this patty from every restaurant that serves it and can say with absolute certainty that this spur was by far, the worst one Ive ever received. The only variables being the assembly, stock and quality control.This is not the first time weve been dissapointed. The restaurant just seems in general to have issues with quality control.

Im surprised that this is the first review for Spur Dakota.Had awesome service. Very friendly and the meals were perfect. Didnt have a single complaint. Perfect set up for family and groups a like. They were busy but didnt wait long at all to be seated and served. Great....

Spur is open for kiddies and parents to take a break and be covid safe. Their playarea is well structured for social distancing and kids are happy to finally be playing again. Parking bay inside restaurant for trollies too.

The quesadillas were disappointing, the nachos were singed. Service was decent though.

Ordered 1 full chocolate brownie and half Malta pudding through Dr Delivery. When it arrived the bownie was half. I paid R60 for half a brownie... my order is never right when ordering for delivery! So frustrated. Spur I understand you are understaffed but how had is it to give people what they paid for. Oh and your cream is sour too.

I called in early this morning to arrange a cake for my friend, without a second hesitation, The kind Manager referred me to a very friendly kind man(Waiter) by the name of HESTANG!! Brother you are great! Thank you for running to the shops, whatsapping me pictures of the selection of the cake ( I know right - So sweet of him) Made sure all was well, I even got the video I kindly asked him to record for me. Doesnt take much for this review but it took them their time, customer service, and willingness to help me out, and I am completely thankful. Dakota Spur not only is the food constantly amazing and your staff great. You guys still know to be kind and that means alot to me.

I went there on a sunday evening. Restuarant wasnt even half full but we waited close to an hour for food, when it eventually arrived it was still one plate short. The play area is okay though

Was a bit disappointed yesterday when I got there for my usual breakfast at 8 and they changed their opening times to 9. Went to the wimpy instead.

Ordered the Spatcock chicken, cheddar melt steak, chicken schnitzel n drinks. To my amazement the Spatcock wS absolutely dry n tasteless. Called the waitress to complain. She said thats how they make it. Very dissatisfied

Absolutely great service, i went for coffee and a grub meal. The restaurant gets an over all 4 stars from me. Its clean, the food was yummy and theres a smoking section as well. Definitely one of the best spur steak ranches Ive been to. Why not a 5th star, perhaps the quiet space i asked for lacked sufficient lighting, and the bottom bun on my burger got too wet from the liquids before i even got done eating it.

Never had such a poor experience at a restaurant. we ordered 2 ribs but is was so tough to cut, so we asked for another knife. seems like the knife was not the problem but the meat was terrible. i tried to eat a piece of the rib but unsuccessful. called the manager and said she was sorry, thats it. in todays life, sorry is not good enough anymore. staff had attitude, maybe they learned this from their management. NEVER AGAIN at THIS Spur

Poor service, food was overcooked, waiter did not visit our table he came to drop drinks n he came back to drop our meal thats it. The manager did not even visit our table. Our order was taken by a child minder. He undermined us because we are black.

This Spur used to be great. Staff are hit and miss more often a miss. Went back on Easter weekend. Served by Miserable Mike. 600gr ribs are a joke (small little ribs shorter than my pinky). 500gr T-bone looked like thin chuck and was not 500gr, full of sinue and cold Med/rare this time. Baked potato was burnt and shriveled up. The cheesy roll starter was terrible. Cheese on top not in the roll. R36 or R38 what a cheeck. This is it with this Spur.

The most amazing service I have ever received from any Spur in all my life. The friendliest, most professional and efficient waiters always smiling as they serve you. Very reasonably priced cocktails but the food, although its good is actually very overpriced for what youre actually getting. More upper class restaurants actually have more competitive prices so Im not sure why Spur prices are so outrageously expensive. I would give them a 5 star rating if it werent for that.
