We were seated in the smoking section as per our request... First round of drinks came quickly, straight after that the waiter brought us our bill when we wanted more drinks... After that we did not see a waiter or waitress for more than half hour... Then when we wanted our bill at the front counter and the staff had no clue what was going on, we could have said we ordered something completely different and they would not have know the difference.. Quiet disappointing as all the spurs we have been to have been great... Just a suggestion, maybe have at least one waiter stationed in that aera

I had a great experience here. My flight was delayed and I sat in this spur for 4 hours. The waitress was very accommodating.The food was really great! I had a chedermelt 300g medium rare rump steak with veggies. The steak was perfect. The veggies was also perfect for me - usually the pumpkin is way too sweet, but this time it was really good. Also, usually the veggies include a baked potato, but this time it was sweet potato together with the pumpkin and spinach. I was trying to limit my intake of simple carbs (bread / potato) and sugar which worked. Thanks for making the waiting time better by giving a good meal!

I was a bit reluctant at first because this Spur was at the airport and this is the gateway to the Corona virus into SA, however the staff were sanitizing the restaurant regularly. Flight was delayed so it was the best option, All the waiters and waitresses were extremely friendly and efficient. One thing I was really impressed by was that the tagged children in the play areas with tags similar to the tags at clothing stores that monitor if garments are stolen, unfortunately crime is a sad reality for people in SA however this innovation will put most parents at ease whilst theyre dining and their kids are playing at the childrens play area that they wont be another statistic in child abduction. Highly recommended to anyone at the airport....plus I got extra blue cheese sauce for my wings upon request, so its impossible not to give a great review after that! Highly recommended ♥️

Clean, hard working staff, childrens play area, value price list. Its worth the price for the quality offered. (Shsss in fact I think its cheap).There is a manager or supervisor within earshot at all times so service is prompt and efficient.Yes it gets busy but thats more because the airport is busy.(Interestingly one of spurs neighbours fails in all departments).

I had the steak with cheesy prawns and extra side of wings The manager suggested a drink for me and it was refreshing. I am hooked. It was the Tangaray Gun with cucumber flavored.tonic water. Pro: It is at the OR Tambo International airport very convenient for travelers traveling abroad.Food is delicious and to good quality for South Africa.Theme is set to an American Tribal Indian theme.Breakfast is better value and filling then other places that set the same breakfast.Cons: Service is a bit slow. It wasnt as busy as rush hour and we waited for a long time for service and food.Will not recommend if you are in a hurry.(If you got some time to kill I would recommend this Spur)

Wonderful, fast and effecient service. The establishment is well maintained and overall kept very clean. Tables are cleared and cleaned quickly, after customers have left. The staff are friendly and quick. The steaks were cooked exactly to order. The orders were produced fairly quickly, which is excellent as some people dont have much time before a flight but still want that steak.

Spurs reputation has been a bit rocky lately, especially the branches at airports. This one though was incredible! The waitress that served us was on the ball - literally running around to please us. And brought us the whole jar of sweets when we asked for more with our bill. All the staff, the managers were so lovely. The food was fresh, hot and brought to us quickly! If I could give 6 stars I would.

Our family went to you early Saturday evening (6 pm) and were seated next to Wimpy. There were seven members in our group and decided to have something to eat as it was not yet time to go through security.We were waiting almost 20 minutes before a waiter pitched up and took our order for drinks.About 15 minutes later he brought it and disappeared immediately after and havent seen him since. While we were enjoying our drinks, we wanted to start ordering food as we only had an hour to finish the meal. We waited another 25 minutes and when nobody assisted, we went to your pay desk and paid for the drinks and left for Ocean Basket.On our arrival, we were treated like kings. Everything went smooth and the service out of the books.Due to bad publicity sometime ago in Gauteng, your group took an unrecoverable knock and had to do everything possible to save the franchise. There are still a large number of ex SA customers which will never return to support you.You may close this outlet if you continue to render such shut service.SPUR is certainly not the only food outlet at the airport.One rotten apple is enough to scrap the box.

Spur is always an enjoyable meal. This particular spur is at the airport and as any high volume busy location service and quality tends to suffer. I do like the security tags they put on the kids, this sounds an alarm if the kids leave the restaurant without their parents.

I tried the Unreal Breakfast. And it is unreal. The price is just so reasonable, or even cheap for many people. For less than 37 Rands you can have a great breakfast. Coffee is extra bug still a very reasonable price. I loved my experience here. Pity I did not try their ribs yet. Maybe next time.

The waiter Yvonne was very nice and courteous through out her service. From the moment we entered it was all smiles and concern. The service here was great because of the attitude and warmth of people like Yvonne. I could give ten stars if you had the option. My friend and I felt at home. Food was superb. This Spur is really striving to excellence. All the staff shows this. The quality of their fillet steak is equal if not better than meat company or any of the other higher cost steakhouses!! The salad is always fresh and perfect. I have also tried their chicken schnitzel, full portion! It is just excellent quality and very cost effective. The deserts are not that good and very expensive BUT hi, it is a steakhouse not a bakery! Eat your desert as part of their special offer and its not so bad!!!

Good experience. Staff are helpful. The place is always busy when I have been there and yet the food is generally pretty fast. Have not had a bad meal there. I would recommend it to any of the weary travelers who need a good burger or breakfast.

Its beautiful and best customer service

The Spur at the O. T. airport - always busy but it is a special vibe because you are surrounded by people who are waiting to leave for vacation, business trips or even emigration. Spur is inexpensive and great to bridge the time with your loved ones before saying goodbye. The waitresses are working efficient and are always friendly despite walking in and around luggage which appear almost everywhere. Not an easy job for the waitresses and I compliment Spur on their professionalism on their staff.

Service was good. Waitresses was friendly. Breakfast was great. No complaints. I would recommend Spur above many of the other restaurants as far as food, efficiency as well as service goes. Keep it up.

This is one of the worst Spurs Ive ever been to, in terms of service delivery and customer care. We waited for almost an hour before a waiter attended to us and we didnt even get an apology (from the waiter or the manager). Over and above that, the waiter was rude and still had the audacity to demand a larger tip than the one we gave him. Im happy to say Ill never go back there.

Did not have to wait long our food. Portions are acceptable. The waiters actually looks out for your lugguage as we made the mistake by putting our backpacks on top of the lugguage trolley. He came and asked us to please put it next to us as it makes it easy for someone to grab and run.

Bery nice place to gather before a departure. It is wspecially nice because it has a play area for the kids.

After our flight back we visited the Soaring Eagle Spur. Best treat was the full portion of Buffalo wings chicken with sauces. Relaxing restaurant and great food.

Service wasnt the best after being seated but this was made up for during my time there. I didnt wait long for my breakfast or beverage ordered. I enjoy going to charge my phone, catch up on work and have something to eat after checking my bags in.

While having a longish layover in the airport we visited the Spur with our small children. Our waitress, Yvonne, was really kind, making sure we had everything that we needed during our meal and quick to help. Louisa in the playroom was fab at playing with our children as well. Some of the best service we have had on our holiday!

A good place to have meal before or after your flight.As usual to Spur restaurants, this one also has a small play ground which is good when you travel with young children.It has fairly large space and the quality is on par with other branches.They offer safe room for your luggage.

Small kids play area with a sign that says child minder on duty. Every time I checked on my daughter the child minder was sitting in the corner on her phone. Not once was she interacting with the children or even watching them. She didnt greet parents or children. Very disappointing. Unsure what she is there?Food and waiter were fantastic.

Had a really good experience. The airport was very busy and the friendly helpful staff delivered our table of 4 exactly what we ordered in good time. My unreal breakfast was great value and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be stopping by again soon.
