Oh my goodness, where do I begin??? We waited about 15 minutes to be seated, it was not a busy night and we werent keen on walking around to find another seafood restaurant. After being seated, it took another 10 minutes for someone to come collect our orders. After ordering, our drinks took about 25 minutes. My Savanna got to me and it had been sitting out all that time so it wasnt cold AT ALL. We were dining with kids so their food took another 15+ minutes to arrive. And when the adults food arrived, it was freezing cold and I had to send it back. The mind-boggling thing is that there were only about 5 or 6 full tables but all these waiters were walking about and not being efficient. I hated my time here, hated the food, HATED the service and Ill definitely never return. What a disappointment!

If you like food that is only made In a microwave, fish that stinks like the managers personality then you will love this place! Ps the manager will even reply to your review asking you to fill out an online form ha ha

Poor service, no classical care of waiters, no sense of understanding to serve patrons. It was a disastrous experience for me and my wife. Its uncalled for and should be ratifoed to maintain the standard of executive top class restaurant of Ocean basket.

This has been a long time coming for this restaurant. I had went for lunch with my girlfriend. We had waited 45 minutes just to receive our starters. Our waiter disappeared on us, we had asked another waiter for help and asked her why the delay of food, apparently take way orders is more important than sit in customers so that means we are neglected and left unattended, as Everytime we went to this restaurant we had to ask for service. Once our main course platter arrived, my girlfriend tried to add pepper but these unconscious staff members who never checked their own salt and pepper Everytime caused it to spill everywhere on our platter. The waiter arrived and gave no solution to help us or replace the platter, the rude manager who often takes out his mask Everytime on the floor attended us. He gave us no solution and never wanted to replace our platter but give us just 2 options which it pathetic,he spoke to us with so much of sarcasm that I had asked for customer care line, I cannot believe this, I had to pay the full amount of the bill which we never even enjoy or finish due to the pepper corn.. I want management or head office to attend to the restaurant, I believe they need a business rescue because I feel robbed. I will make sure this reaches people to not visit this place because poor customer service is poor business, I have the picture of the platter as well

While on holiday in Durban we visited Ocean basket @ Sun coast casino on the 27/5 around 20h00 First time and last time!Had a bad experience @ Ocean basket on Marine parade couple of days earlier and thought well give the one at Sun coast casino a try, well I dont think Ill get my husband to any Ocean basket ever again!First of all I ordered a glas of dry white wine, pointed out on the menu which one I wanted and when the order arrived it was RED wine. Waitress didnt even picked that up!!Than we ordered our mains 1 Kingklip and 1 salmon (salmon was ordered medium/rare). After a loooong wait our order arrived, waitress put my pan down and I immediately saw that mine was kingklip as well (thus 2 kingklips), I asked her is this salmon?? And she answered yes!!!!! I had to tell her that it was not!She took both orders back, I supposed to keep the one warm while the salmon was prepared. The manager than came to apologise and ordered us a salad on the house. Surprise when our order came for the second time - 2 x Salmon.....We gave up and didnt even bother to send it back again!! And medium/rare???Dont think they know what it means!!!Never will any Ocean Basket see us again!

Compared too other ocean basket branches, Suncoast you guys are the worst, and I had bad experiences regarding the food on every single occasion we visited.. Salmon is always dry, does the chef not know how to prepare fish, rolls are never fresh, calamari steaks are hard, waiters should be fired because they useless, nah you guys will eventually close down... I rather visit Jhon dorys

We are from pmb. Visited on Sunday. Service was terrible. Our waiter Sibashle had no interest. She took our order, served us rolls that were hard like rock. My 2 year old dropped water on the table. Other staff just looked, I cleaned the table myself and folded the paper table covers. We called her, she didnt even care to assist or to wipe the table with a cloth. So we had our meal which was delicious but our waiter didnt even care to offer us something else to drink. Well she was not interested in serving us because she didnt bother to check up even once, even though the restaurant was absolutely quiet. Very poor service. Even asking for the bill took forever to come.

The absolute worst ocean basket ever. The food was terrible, the service was terrible and the prices are through the roof. Food was served cold and the starters were not fresh but rather left over. The drinks are more than 3 times the price that I can get it anywhere else. I do not recommend this place at all. The worst!!!!!! If I was allowed to rate 0 stars I would!

Honestly was the best seafood dish Ive had from ocean basket. Feeds a family of 4 and we still had leftovers.

Given so many negative reviews of this branch, the 1 star rating is exaggerated. It deserves 0.Ocean Basket is 1 of our family favorites. But the Suncoast branch definitely leaves a sour taste in ones mouth.Pina Colada to share ordered at R135 was water and crushed ice. The manager offered no solution. We had to send it back. Comes back full of ice. Couldnt pour it at all. We paid for a full jug left on the table.The salmon California Roll was the size of a 50c coin. Very disappointing. Halloumi looked like it was fried over and over and the portion definitely did not match the price.Paid for Lemon butter sauce which never arrived. No cutlery on the table. We had to request serviettes. 3 were given for 4 guests.This is not the level service or quality food we expect. We have been to many branches. This is the worst. Not worth the R580 bill.Terrible service. Horrible food. The worst manager.Will never recommend this branch. Dont waste your money.

Service was amazing, food was great, waiters name Was Givemore great service , The Manageress was so pleasant we are definitely going back plus they now serve alcohol 😊

Due to no fault of the waitress , the food was 45 minutes delayed. We received no apology or explanation for the mistakes that were also made. The restaurant was not extremely busy.

The food is simply amazing

Food is great however the customer service is really bad, wait time is pathetic and they are understaffed. Whats worse is that they are listed as one of the resturaunts you qualify for a discount using your suncoast card but instore you are told that the system is not setup for this. I doubt i would ever want to go back there!!!
