A fantastic restaurant with a unique look/styling. The staff are fantastic, super friendly, helpful, and going the extra mile. There is plenty of indoor and out door seating and they are fairly quick with their service. The milkshakes and waffles were fantastic. There is plenty of free parking and venue is wheelchair accessible. One suggestion would be to get snapscan or zapper especially now during covid times. Nevertheless, a highly recommended worth while stop.

Second visit to The Grille Shack for us proving what we experienced the first time was no fluke. Plenty of enthusiastic staff equals excellent service. Arguably it was a better time to come as being mid-winter and a beautiful day, it was windless and perfect for sitting outdoors. Food was well prepared and proportioned and delicious. The kids secure play area meant us adults could have a great relax. Well done on a great experience.

Amazing place. Right in the middle of the most beautiful drives of the Cape. Decorated like the garage of a motor enthusiast...this fits right in with that roadside café vibe. If youre dissapointed after your visit, then you are too spoilt.Had the Nachos with bacon bits which were sublime, where the corn dogs were a bit skinny and may have needed a bit more dough to make it fat and crispy. Sublime nonetheless.

Such a great find next to the coastal road between Gordons Bay and Hermanus. Great location, great interior and it comes with a childrens play area outside. Menu options provide for all taste requirements. Drink options include several non-alcoholic options for the designated driver. We had friendly and helpful service from the staff at all times. Within close proximity of the coastal town of Gordons Bay. Make sure to include in your next rendezvous to or from the whaletown.

Beautifully situated on the incredibly scenic Clarence Drive, with indoor and outdoor dining, space for kids to safely play and a mouth-watering menu, it is well worth a visit on your way around the mountain.

For such a great looking place the coffee was gross. I had to throw it away. Too hot, overly extracted and I can only assume it was UHT milk. I assumed by the fanstaic decor it knew how to make decent coffee. :(

A little out of the way, but a scenic drive. The Grille Shack is a meat lovers dream! Although I was a little underwhelmed by my burger, all the dishes we ordered were good. There were also a few orders that passed our table that looked amazing! Well be back to try other items on the menu. The bathrooms were clean and neat and there is a separate family bathroom. The decor is fun and there is space for kids to run outside.

Decent prices. Delicious coffee and a beautiful building built up on the theme of motor garages and vehicles. Seems to be a popular biker pit stop but just as perfect for the family.

Great breakfast and spacious outside. convenient location. At the moment it’s just a sit down restaurant. It looks from the outside it might be a “padstal” as well but it’s not. No store or grab and go option at the moment. I think it is being built but until then the only option is sitting for service (which was quick)

1st timenat the grill shack wife ordered a babbalaas burger andnI orderd the steak prego.Wifes putty was still raw and had to be send back. My steak was so tuff that I onlynhad half of the burger. The other half I took home gave it to my son and he had one bite and told me the steak is too tuff. He gave the steak to our dog

Had a very good experience at the grill shack. Waiters was friendly and always ready to assist. Food was well presented and tasted great. I think they shoud add sea food dishes to there menu though... But we had a great time. Thank you so much, il definitely come again.

Havent been out on Clarens Drive in a long time so not exactly sure how long this have been around but online it looked intriguing. So we loaded the car with hungry tummies and sped off on our scenic drive. What impressed me first was how neat and tidy the place was. Think like a garage or a big workshop with the same theme carried inside. Staff are friendly and helpful because when you start looking at the menu, everything sounds great. Looking at the other tables being served doesnt make the choice easier. But then we all made our choices and I was impressed with how quick the food was being served, both for the restaurant being full and us having a big table. The waffle burger was something new for me but the Southern Fried chicken was amazing and I proceded to eat way more than I usually would. Be warned, the outside red chairs, with a full tummy makes for a very lazy Sunday afternoon. Great place, great atmosphere, will definately see me again soon.

Our very first visit to this amazing restaurant and we were ignored! We arrived just before 11, were seated by a lovely waiter who told us that we can still order breakfast as breakfast orders close at 11:15. We waited for over 20 minutes before a waitress arrived to take our orders. We had asked 2 waiters up to this point that we are ready to order and was just told it is not their section. After we waited over 20 minutes for a waiter to take our breakfast order, we were then told that we cannot order breakfast anymore, only lunch. After ordering our drinks and food, the table behind us was filled and the same waiter we had, was there in an instant, got their order, and we couldnt believe our eyes when they got their entire order 10 minutes before we got ours. The food was good but we have been there almost an hour before we could eat. We just felt so ignored by our waitress.To top it all off, my husband pointed all this out on a review on Facebook and was bad-mouthed so badly by one of the staff and was told We wish you well in finding another local eatery that cares about their patrons.

Just came back from a birthday breakfast. Its the first time my extended family have visited. They were so impressed and my mom enjoyed her birthday and will be back. Awesome food, friendly staff and kids had a blast. Hope the indoor play area will be open soon on the colder days.

Amazing decor, very nice place to stop. It is very new, we experienced that the waiter was also very new in her job. Coffee was horrifying strong, will not stop there for coffee, but rather something else.

Thanks so much team from The Grille Shack, I actually hit the 5 stars without giving a thought to add any details but you certainly do deserve the 5 stars!The location is amazing, decor, venue layout, kids play area, tables and umbrellas etc. all work together to make this a fantastic day out for family or a group of friends. The service was top notch and very efficient even through a very busy lunch period. Drink selection is great, food was really tasty and fresh, rib meat fell off the bone, calamari absolutely fresh and divine! I will definitely be back to try what looked like amazing nachos and chicken waffles passing by :P

Waited over 30 minutes for an order that never arrived. Had to get up to go find a waiter to place the order. Service is very slow. When my sons burger came it was ice-cold and chips like cardboard. Not a good day.

This was a real surprise. One of those places we drive past and say we want to visit. When we did visit, we immediately made plans to return. It reminds of Barrydale in decoration. The hamburger and chicken salad was excellent. The Honey Blond ice cold, as she should be. And the garden clean and neat.

Food was great, not much happening during the week and it was raining but they had a lovely fire going the atmosphere was great over all a great experience, loved there craft ciders and there were three to choose from I opted for the Cloudy Apple and my wife chose the pomegranate that both tasted devine, wil definitely go back. Take a Sunday drive or ride out to one of the most scenic routes in the Western Cape... The R44 coastal road. Stopping at the Grille Shack for breakfast or lunch is a must. A lovely venue
