Ordering the Pasta Calamari special and ending up with bacon carbonara put my nose out of joint. Friendly service, but our food took AGES to arrive and the pasta was a bit too Al dente to my taste. Pricey, as well. Difficult finding parking as well.

I had THE most amazing experience here this evening! I battle with going out, but I went alone, and felt supremely comfortable, welcome and at home. Superior service. HIGHLY recommended. I will most definitely be returning.

What an amazing pizza. Best I have had in years. The owner and staff make one feel like part of the family. I strongly recommend a visit to collect a takeout to support them while we are in lockdown.

As an tourist I heard about this restaurant from locals. I went for lunch and again back for dinner.The food was prepared fresh and with great flavours. I ordered the avocado with prawns which was so yummy. Then the ravioli which was freshly made with the best tomato sauce. However the highlight was the Parma pizza. Flavoursome and big portions. All at a great price. The staff were amazing and the atmosphere with its Italian music and design were important to Carla the owner. She worked the tables to make sure we had a great experience. I certainly did and I would visit here again and again.

This is one of our long standing favourites but sad to say the service on Saturday evening let the show down badly. The food was good but the waiters and manager on duty were simply out of it and seemed to be more focused on takeaway deliveries than on their tables???

Had an amazing meal in lockdown with my son. Marco was kind enough to welcome my son to his establishment. Having known Marco for years, it is a pleasure to see him and his wife bringing Bella Italia Vredehoek to life, as he has done in all his endeavours. Well done, guys.

Lovely restaurant, I was there just at the Big Bay one but we waited 45min and never got attention from any of the waiters. So we left. I want to come back because your menu options seem good, but next time please be kind :)

We went as a large group and had a variety of pizzas which we shared so got to taste quite a few, all were good, the vegetarian was particularly memorable. Very welcoming hosts and staff, we will definately be back!

The atmosphere and Covid precautions are very good at Bella Italia. It was not overly crowded and there was good ventilation from big, open windows. The staff are friendly and competent. The portions were substantial, bit not overly flavourful.

The Pizza was not fresh (either from fridge/freezer), Lamb chops were dry and chips had an after taste. We also had a running stomach (bad stomach) the day after. Waitress would take more than 10 minutes to provide assistance. Highly disappointed, maybe when the manager is back in the kitchen things would improve.

Great food and the staff is very friendly and attentive. We go to the restaurant often and its become quite a family favorite for pizza and pasta on a Friday evening.This weekend I didnt feel like pizza nor pasta so I had the Fillet Medallions and boy was I surprised, it was cooked to perfection with the most divine mushroom sauce. Always a treat for our family to visit Bella.

I enjoy the family owned vibe of Bella Italia and their meals are delicious and good value. My only negative is that they use store bought, frozen chips ( possibly this is because of lockdown ? ) but almost everyone I know would much rather have the hand cut, homemade version. A lot of restaurants go this route as a labour / cost saving device but customers would prefer the real thing.

Simple and unpretentious with welcoming staff. Pizzas are good quality and slightly larger than usual.

I went on Christmas Eve. The food was great, had pumpkin ravioli and they were actually home made, with a very tasty filling. The spinach and ricotta ravioli were also great. I am not sure about the pizzas, will need to go back to try as they have a good selection and they make half of the menu. The attention was extremely courteous and a man that I believe was the manager or owner came to check us very often. The ambient is familiar and relaxed.

My boyfriend has chicken allergy and today we ordered pizza through MR D with gypsy ham which supposed to be pork. Ham is pork. But very cheap ham can have chicken inside it. My bf had a bad reaction. So if you guys have any allergies, be careful with ordering from them. The rest of the food was delicious though thats why I put 3 starts.

The hostess was super efficient and we got to taste real authentic Italian Grappa and Limoncello with good friends and family. Food was excellent. Well definitely be back 😆😆😆

An intimate restaurant situated near the base of Table Mountain. Blink twice and youll miss it. It sports a gentle ambience whilst not feeling forced at all. The staff are very friendly, and carry with them genuine smiles. The food is well worth the wait, as well as the price. Overall, a wonderful place to take your loved ones, friends, or that special date out for some good food and (hopefully) good conversation.

Dont write a lot of reviews but had to comment on how appalling the bacon pieces were on the California pizza I ordered for take-away on Friday, 18 May. It was literally rubbery, curled-up bacon fat. I still felt uneasy the next day after trying some of it. At R118 for the pizza you really do expect a restaurant to use better ingredients than that.

Cosy,lovely Italian restaurant with flavourful gnocchi and pizza. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back soon. Music and decor made you feel like you have walked through the doors into Italy. Outside may look like an ordinary restaurant but once you walk through the doors you are greeted with friendly service that remains throughout your dining experience.

Very good pizzas. High quality ingredients and a simple combination of toppings that pair well makes for great tasting pizzas. Best Parma in town. Good cuppacino. Lovely setting. Best to make reservations as they can get busy. They where open on newyears day when a lot of other places where not. Non smoking establishment.

I came here for a some coffee with a friend. The coffee was quite good, but while chatting, I worked up a small appetite - so we ordered the brinjal starter.My God! It was incredible. A tomato sauce from heaven! A cheese so tasty you could lick the plate. And the brinjal was absolutely perfect!Im definitely coming back to try the res of their menu!

I like the vibe in the place. Been there twice now. The food is decent but nothing to make noise about.

Food was flavorless and way too hot. Took 20 minutes for it to cool down fully. Service was slow. Wine was mediocre. I’ve lived in Italy and I can tell you this is NOT proper Italian food.

Friendly and attentive staff. The vegetable lasagna was very tasty and the Quattro Stagioni pizza was great.

Had a superb dinner there 2 weeks ago and tonight were going back. Good food, unpretentious setting and friendly staff. We shared the best caprese salad I had in a long time.

The restaurant was left a little less charming and a little more clinical after its last renovation. The food is still decent, but the venue makes you want to eat and go.
