Spontaneously visited this place and Im glad that I did. The restaurant has sufficient amount of seating inside and outside. Had the sushi buffet which delivered tasty and fresh sushi. I loved that the sushi belt was always full. Also on the belt were cubes of dragon fruit and slices of watermelon and lemon, which was quite refreshing. If you want sushi that is not on the belt you can ask for additional sushi to be made. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful, he also gave a great recommendation which was the salmon and prawn nigiri (yum!) They also do not skimp on the prawn tempura which is so awesome! Will definitely be back!

This restaurant stole the heart of my stomach, when the waiter mentioned their All You Can EAT SPECIAL for sushi 🥺🥰 it was totally worth the amount of money spent! I definitely think I should’ve came more hungry though in order to indulge in way more sushi 😂 other than that, the service was great - staff are friendly and welcoming and the design of the restaurant is quite fetching 😊.

A good place for standard sushi. Usually go for the all-you-can-eat at currently R169pp. Recommend the salmon salads, tempura 🍤 prawn and mussels.

Love Sake!!Great value for money. Our sitting is normally 2 hours.If you havent tried Sake Stable Square, then now is the time.

Dont get me wrong the sushi is amazing. But I am so tired to go there and sit by the conveyer belt only to see the same sushi come by one by one.... I dont like ordering at sushi buffet because it gets tiring and takes long if the place is packed. Surely they can put different types of suhi on the belt? They have such a huge menu but 99% of everything on the belt is exactly the same.

Good sushi, its not a willobys sushi and its decor is very plain n simple so I cannot give it more. I wouldnt go there on a date but its great for quick n easy stop for good tasting and very importantly fresh sushi.

Very disappointed, ordered the egg fried rice,Sushi rice, with half an egg and minimal spice, (this is the large order, and a sprinkle of frozen veg.the food used to be amazing, got this pathetic take away in the photo (two forks fulls taken out) all this disappointment for R72!my old review from 2019 below :The food is great! Sushi and perfect and the service is amazing, all at a really fair price, sparce but comfortable decor, good service and cold beers.

Price is up and rice is more but overall still good.Nice variety.

They have had a second price increase this year. Prior to lockdown R169.00 2 months ago R199.00 today its R215.00.Their sushi is good and the waiters are very sweet and deliver great service.

Brilliant sushi variety and at a very affordable price. Try the eat as much as you like option. Best deal ever with a bptrle.of white wine. Sitting by the conveyer also makes good for company. Just book in advance should you like the option.

Very quick to make phone orders. Their quality of sushi is decent not the best but quite a good standard. Their waiters are understanding and friendly, very impressed with their service. However we once had an incident where our salmon was rubbery, so that was a bit off putting, every other time I’ve been there the food was awesome, therefore 4 stars. You pay for what you get at this place.

Wish i could upload a photo! The rice they use is not good and the sashimi slices is so thin on some parts you can see the rice trough them. Id advice to rather pass this place youll feel scammed.

No fuss sushi experience. Sit down in front of the revolving band and take what you want. Enjoy with a glass of wine while you listen to the friendly banter of the staff and watch the expert hands prepare your food. Not the most atmospheric place, but not every restaurant can have a sea view. Good quality food and service.

Amazing sushi. Serves alcohol and does all you can eat sushi. Can be a little pricey but worth it for quality food. All you can eat includes; all types of sushi, spring rolls, dessert items and sometimes fresh fruit. Great as a meal with friends or family. Highly recommended

I believe Sake has the best bottomless sushi special in Cape Town... There is always a wide selection of sushi riding the belt, from the well-known classics to some interesting and delicious plates to clear the palate and/or tickle your taste buds. (I love to end off with the batter-fried banana with choc sauce). Oooh... and the sashimi simply melts away in your mouth... youll have to try it for yourself... :)

The all you can eat sushi buffet is really good value for money and the quality of the sushi is impeccable. You can also order a limited selection of custom items with your sushi buffet which is very rare for sushi buffets. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. This is one of my favourite Sushi places in Cape Town.

Sake is always great.The good:Their sushi is often above average, but still with the average cost for sushi buffets.The vibe is chilled, doesnt often get very loud or too full.The waiters are alright, with one in particular thats very good.The bad:No bathrooms in the place.One has to use the Sable Square public toilets, which arent the cleanest and often dont have toilet paper.

This is by far one if the best sushi restaurants to go for a great buffet. Wide variety to choose from and at a reasonable price (R169 per person). Friendly staff and great service and a great place for groups. Reservations recommended, especially if youre wanting to sit at the sushi belt, as it can get quite full and youll have to be seated at a table nearby.

We have been here on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed the eat-as-much-as-you-like buffet sushi. Those times that you feel like fresh, well prepared sushi, this is the place to be. Their pricing is good. My personal concern is that the parking and area around the complex seems not to be well secured and when leaving the place to go to your car, you get an eerie feeling as it is very quiet and no guards in site. For this reason we have not been back for a while. If this issue was addressed and people felt more secure, I would give it more stars.

A firm favourite of mine over the years, however first negative/disappointing experience this time round. The food was good as always, however the service was shocking! Has to eventually go and call a waitress to take my initial order, then she never once followed up with me and when it came time to pay she was not even on the premises! Their chefs appear to all be very new and unskilled as well, as the sushi is very untidily constructed with portions sizes all uneven. Still tasty though. They need to step their game up a bit.

Simply brilliant I highly recommend. This is the only Sushi buffet i have come across that serves up black mussels in the shell with sushi mayo and a lovely spicy sprinkle. The chefs are fast at getting your special orders out and the staff in general are very friendly.

I have visited Sake on numerous occasions for the past few years. Their sushi is always very fresh and tasty, and the eat-as-much-as-you-like buffet is definitely worth the price. They regularly add something new to the menu. The waiters are friendly and helpful. Perhaps the setting is not the most romantic, but the food is great.
