One of my favorites in Cape Town. A continental clientele. Awesome ambience and fantastic food. Not everyones choice but I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

Very cool pub/restaurant.Food was great!Only one con.taste of wine was very strong in the Portuguese steak sauce and trinchado gravy. But otherwise delicious!

Great food and fast service. Would recommend the Joe Special as a main meal. Also try the super bock beer, they import it from Portugal and its on tap. Well worth it. Be sure to make a reservation (even in the week) as it gets quite busy.

We started off with a waitress. But after the food came she was serving behind the bar. The other waitresses were not interested in us. I had to keep on trying to get attention 😒I came specifically for eisbein but none was available 😒

Not sure why it took over a decade to try this place but the charcoal grilled Peri-Peri half chicken was fantastic. Loved the heat - even ordered extra Peri- Peri sauce for my chips. They have cold Erdinger beers to wash it down too. Simple rustic vibe. Feels like a spot in Mozambique. Will be back.

Over priced R200 for 5 medium Prawns that you cant remove from the shell.After ordering we never saw our server again not even to present the bill.

This was the perfect spot for Fathers day. My first time, but will definitely be back. Cosy atmosphere, all the different sports on the TVs, and the food was really good! We sampled everything, from the lamb shank in the richest jus, the juicy espatada grande, the spicy trinchado chicken, the tender calamari or the slow cooked ribs which just fell apart as you ate them. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you!

Classic old dive bar, been here for YEARS! Beer on tap, classic Portuguese seafood and meat dishes, old school but cool.

Food was as usual fantastic. First time I have ordered takeaways from them and was pleasantly impressed with the packaging of the different foods. Never have I left Dias tavern dissatisfied with either their service or food.

The Prego Rump steak on a hot skillet is always a winner. Washed down with one of the many beers they have on tap. Always a good atmosphere.

I came alone, sat at the bar, and had some delicious Peri Peri Chicken. On top of that, the bartender was really nice and we ended up chatting almost the whole time. Great food, solid prices, and nice staff. Id highly recommend this!

I enjoyed my time at the Dias Tavern. The food was lovely, and the place super busy - yet the staff found the time to work with each table and to cater to everyones needs. They even found the time to make jokes and make us all feel welcome. Special thanks to Fresh who wen out of his way to be helpful and extra friendly :)
