Good quality, soft meat and they know how to properly prepare it. If you ask for medium rare you actually get medium rare. The Lamb chops and Portuguese steak were awesome but first price goes to the Espetada, if you like enough meat, this is it. Not to mention the espressos, everything is just nice.

Again, not sure how people rate... Anyway, as already mentioned it is difficult to give impartial reviews. I understand and hear the locals support, but not great pizzas here, plain and bland, very disappointed, the pasta was tasty but not that special. The service was good but really do not understand how such prices can be charged for the food we had.

We had a lovely time at Casareccio. Pizza bases thin and crispy. Perfectly done! Gluten-free and banting options also available. Lots of other options on the menu as well. Service friendly, fast and efficient even though it was quite busy. Very nice to see a restaurant full like this on a week night. Owner present and hands-on, which always makes a huge difference. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Casareccio is conveniently located on the main road going out to Chapmans Peak and a great stop for cyclists, motorcycle groups and others for a quick bite or coffee en route. Not a great view or fancy for a special evening or event, but good value, food and service. Awesome local spot.

We arrived on our bikes,had an awesome stopover and received a history lesson on Trinchado.....a Mozambiquean and Portuguese blend .....our next ride will be targeting a sitdown dinner....Jorge ,and I am Jörg ,had sold us his mouth watering homely Portuguese menu so well,we cannot wait to get back on our saddle and head for Hout Bay....next time I will reveal my verdict

Cozy restaurant. Had a great cappuccino and shared a pizza. Delicious food at affordable prices, pizzas, pastas and lots of other dishes to choose from. Service was good.

Absolutely unhelpful. They wouldnt allow a pregnant lady to use their restrooms when everything around them is closed. What a sour experience. I would never eat there.

Had a very pleasant lunchtime pizza experience yesterday. I travel to Italy a lot, so have developed a preference for crispy bases, these were a little bit soft, but otherwise great meal, fresh ingredients and quick service. Great affordable wine list. Shall certainly be back and will also try their breakfast.

The very best Trinchado in South Africa - and I know trinchado. Lovely atmosphere, cotton tablecloths and napkins. A reasonable wine collection and awesome staff. A very special place.

Since theres also a Portugese part in the ownership, the food can be spiced in a great way. The service is just topnotch. If you are an avid motorcyclist this place is where to go. Every Sunday I make a point to ride there through the hout Bay pass. Fantastic ride there as well as amazing coffee. The owner is also a great guy.

Best prego rolls around

Been there before with friends. Always loved their chicken peri peri and chips. Tonight the chips were dry and awful and the chicken was awful. No taste! I sent it back. The pasta my partner had wasnt that good as the same one we had 5 days ago, so possibly a different chef tonight, but I also noticed 8 empty tables at 8.30pm on a Saturday night, so not a good sign.

The waiters were not particularly attentive. I was not greeted by the door and had to ask for the bill 10 minutes after my meal was finished. The waiter did not follow up on the food nor the bill. I get the idea things are a bit looser when Jorgé is not there.Food was very good.
