I am not usually a fan of Ocean basket but I am so happy that my wife persuaded me to go, from the outstanding service to the freshest ingredients and seafood wow is an understatement. We will definitely be back.

Sorry chaps, only 3 stars because 95% of the time I get these fruit flies sitting in the olive oil and sometimes in the balsamic vinegar too. Ive raised this with management more than once. Ive been eating here for the last 8 years now and this fly/insect issue has been going on for probably two years now.Otherwise the staff are usually 5 star. The quality of the food is also 5 star and the service quick. But the portion size of the fish has been reduced substantially over the last while which is very sad. And please bring back the Captain Johns platter too, if possible.

Great service from Angella our waitress. Portions of Calamari at this branch is always generous and lovely views.Sushi we had can be a bit better presented.

Guys, when credit is due, I will rush to give it...usually would go to Canal walks Ocean Basket in Cape Town, however, didnt feel like all the hustle and bustle on a Sunday afternoon so decided to go have a late lunch with wife and friends at Ocean Basket Paddocks mall and chose the Full deck platter with a few extras and both hot and cold beverages, thereafter, dessert!By now you should know how fussy I am about what I am being presented with, but this has just become my favourite spot.. Every single item we received was fried /grilled/cooked and baked to perfection and the taste was spot on!!! Such a pleasure to have only good things to say about the food and the service we received.Thank you!

The other foods were great the suggested so called pollock fish was horrible looked like it was in the fridge for too long but the service from Johnson i think his name was was Excellent catered to our needs and questions

The Salmon Roses from this restaurant are epic and the best I have eaten in a very long time!

Food was very avg for an OB, service incredibly slow and we were one of 4 tables so cant understand why.

Really the worst food ever from this branch. Normally they are fantastic,but,possibly because we were dining at 17h00, the food was dreadful.

Having supper at the Ocean Basket Paddocks in Milnerton was an absolute treat! At first we went there to have coffee but upon looking at the menu were soon persuaded to share a seafood platter for two. It included a wonderful selection of various different seafood and it was absolutely delicious and super filling too! Highly recommended place to eat before heading on to Sunset Beach to watch the sunset on a beautiful Spring day!

Usually by one of my favorites, the Salmon Med Bowl. Today it was not up to its usual standard. Very little Avo, salmon and all the other ingredients except for the rice. Very disappointed.

Ocean basket was extra Jaaaaaas!Great service, great food. Great play area for the kids, great desert. Awesome waiter and manager. We didnt like the line fish they recommended with the platter for two, so the manager replaced it with a smile and even had a conversation about the extra fishy fish. The hake was good. Would have liked the angel fish though. Definitely coming back

The place is well maintained and clean and the service is good. There are a few things that annoyed us, we had to queue to pay for the meal at the entrance, not even the wimpy does this anymore. The dont have fashion sandwiches on the sushi menu anymore (they dont know why, it is still embroidered on some the seats though around the sushi bar) and they are on the expensive side with sushi in comparison to. Other nearby option that we find are better.The service was very good, the waitress was on point and in general it was OK but perhaps the cost side was on the high end for what we got.

As with most Ocean Basket franchises, this one does not disappoint. Food is of an excellent quality and the service is pretty good too. Place seems clean enough but does not have toilet facilities (you have to use the centres toilets, which you have to pat for).Otherwise a good restaurant with good quality, fresh items on the menu.

Went to get some hake and chips for dinner. The service was quick and efficient and the people were friendly.Will definitely go back to sample their seafood platter.

Food was awful. Sushi was yucky. The whole meal was a waste of money. Even though the lovely manager tried to redeem this by replacing it for alternatives, I was disappointed as this was my birthday.

Ocean Basket is a chain across SA and they are consistent in their seafood offering. Meals are not expensive and there is a wide selection of fresh seafood and lovely platters. Service is efficient and staff friendly at this branch. We had sushi platters and salad meals were were very good. Only downside is the location overlooking car park below and that it is in a shopping mall.

The staff are always very courteous & friendly..Our meals were very tasty indeed..We are finding that the prices have escalated and for us being pensioners its become unaffordable..No discounts offered..

A well run restaurant with good food always well presented. The staff are quite good and you do not wait long to get your food , which is served hot. You will get bread rolls fresh and hot. The fish is always fresh.

On Friday 24 June we celebrated my moms birthday. Compliments to Jackie for decorating the table so beautifully, the guests and I were impressed. Our waiter, Sunny, was very pleasant and helpful. We all had a lovely time

We had sushi there. The rice was under cooked. The salmon was very tough. Informed management and nothing was done about it. Payed my bill. But definitely wont be going there again.

Excellent seafood. This outlet particularly stands out because of good service as well as excellent ambience at night. Ordered a new item on the menu, grilled salmon and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely a health conscious meal and tasty as well.

The oysters were so big and fresh. Definitely better than some of the places Ive eaten at in Camps bay. The sashimi was so fresh, nice thick pieces. Will definitely be back

If you can order the Basa before they run of stock, please give this lovely light fish a try. If you havent had it before, its a much lighter, creamier alternative to hake and delicious grilled cajun.

We ordered oysters, which were milky, so we sent them back. Prawns were definitely not nice as we could not remove them easily from the shell. Enjoyed the salmon soup. Furthermore the meal was ok. Waitress was very attentive and on the ball. An ok meal.

Platter for two was disgusting. Meal came within 5 mins after placing the order. It seems everything is pre cooked and just dished up when order is placed. Quality of food is defiantly a minus 5. I felt like I was eating dry fish, prawns were ice cold and the calamari was like rubber. I wouldnt recommend or return to this place.

Good foodOk service.Negative would be.If you are enjoying a lunch/dinner here and need the bathroom, you need to ask for a key from an available server. If the key is available you get this huge spoon with the key attached.You can only prey that EVERY ONE who has used the bathroom has washed Thier hands as you havr to hold this key on your way back to the table to eat.SERIOUSLY. I find this not only petty, but also a huge health risk.

Have always had a good experience here on multiple occasions across the span of a few years. Try the sushi!

Last night when I stepped out of the restaurant I work in to have a smoke outside, I witnessed the following:Out comes a lady and closely after her is an OB waitress. She confronts the lady and I can make out that this is with regards to a bill not being settled.The customer tells the waitress that the manager’s attitude is disgusting.Soon after a waiter body of about 7 and the manager, either Patrick or Raymond walks outside and confronts the lady. The manager allowed these waiters to speak to the customer like she is a thief.Very disrespectful and somewhat taunting. He stood behind the crowd of waiters laughing.While the 1st waitress was trying to find a reasonable resolution the male waiter body of about 7 kept interrupting them and accusing and insulted this lady.I could see in her body language that she was uncomfortable and felt threatened. Paddocks mall security was also on the scene. There was also another male on the scene who was in civilian clothes and he was right alongside all the commotion.Whilst waiters were talking very loudly and rudely to this lady, they suggested that she get in a car with this civilian whom she does not know from a bar of soap, to take her to an ATM to access her E-wallet to pay her bill and then bring her back to the mall.This mam was drunk… I could see this from where I was sitting about 3 meters away.I mean really? The security guard walked away at this point shaking his head.When she tried to walk away she was held back by one of the waiters and she asked them not to touch her.The customer was requested to leave her phone and or drivers license @ OB. She could not because she needs her phone to access her e-wallet and her handbag was stolen… she was carrying a tog bag and wearing gym clothes.She also suggested that her waitress accompany her in her own car to a FNB atm. To no avail. All she got was threats and intimidation.This is not how OB staff react. No compassion and no integrity. This is not how management should handle an issue.I was appalled and wanted to say or do something without getting involved… as I work across from OB and was previously employed @ an OB.I am very proud of the OB brand and although I do not work for them… I would like to see the brand as the best it could be.I do not know the whole story as to what happened before what I witnessed but someone has to inform OB HO of how their customers are being treated as I’m sure OB cannot afford the same repercussions as what spur had last year.

Always enjoy the meals at Ocean Basket. Conveniently close to home and plenty of parking.
