As far as fine dining experiences go, Azure is up there in terms of value for money. It combines, excellent staff (special thanks to Wilkins), great (generous might I add) food and beautiful views. Recommend for any occasion.

Lovely breakfast, friendly staff. I was surprised with a complimentary treat for my birthday which was lovely and unexpected. Birds were a bit of a problem and kept on stealing our food from our table. Something to consider if you prefer to be seated outside. Views are absolutely spectacular. Enjoyed our morning! Received a somewhat complimentary dinner as part of our stay. Gorgeous, gorgeous views of the ocean and sunset (get the table in the right hand corner of the restaurant as it gives you the most romantic view of the sunset). Waitron was so attentive and food seemed to appear like magic, after we placed our orders five minutes ago. Everyone on shift, knew it was our anniversary and wished us. Despite a rather simple menu, I think there is something on it for everyone. The curry (prawn and chicken) was surprisingly good. I nearly ate it all, but had to leave some room for dessert, which unfortunately was my least favorite course. The cheesecake wasn’t out of this world and the ice cream too. But, I’ll probably be back, because everything else in combination, was magical!

Great food is what you would expect of a fine dining restaurant. Service was terrible. There was a racist manager who was rude and unfriendly.

The ambiance of the restaurant is so romantic, and peaceful that it creates the perfect place for date night.The food served was absolutely delicious. The chicken noodle broth soup was perfect for this Cape Town winter weather. The Azure Steak was made to perfection. The creamy spinach was all time favorite, if I should go again to the restaurant I would definitely order that side dish again.The employees were serving us, as if we were royalty. It was delightful to be served in such a way that it separates the service from just an ordinary restaurant. I wanted to make my Anniversary special for my wife and Azure Restaurant Employees went above and beyond and for that Im eternally grateful.

We booked this in advance knowing it had a vegan menu (as there aren’t many fine dining restaurants who offer similar).We arrived early to watch the sunset, but the outdoor area was closed due to the weather. So we stayed in the leopard bar for drinks instead. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and we got lots of lovely nibbles to accompany our cocktails. This sadly is where the good experience ended.We went down to Azure and were greeted by our waitress. We explained that we were having the vegan menu, to which she then spoke at us (rather inaudible) for a few moments and went away.A selection of breads were brought to the table and we awaited our 4 course vegan ‘earth’ tasting menu.The first starter - canned chickpeas, 3 x edamame beans photographed on a plate. Taste and textures both similarly bland and uninspiring, not to mention the portion size. Was more of an amuse bouche than a course!Second starter - textures of butternut squash. This was more promising - the flavours were more prominent and interesting but the savoury doughnut was dense and greasy. There was one small piece of roasted squash, which was tasty, but again, not enough of it.Main - cauliflower steak. This was more like a couple of florets rather than a ‘steak.’ The flavours of this dish had the most promise - sweet sticky sultanas paired with a well seasoned roasted cauli. However, there were no other accompaniments (beside one kale leaf) and it was crying out for a starch and some more nice green veg. The dish just felt incomplete.Dessert - this consisted of tinned pineapple, plain roasted nuts, a berry sauce that tasted so reduced we think it was jam. This is possibly one of the worst ‘fine dining’ vegan desserts we’ve had. It felt as though they were offering a vegan menu but couldn’t be bothered with it.Similarly, after our waitress knew we were having a vegan menu, she didn’t bother with us. 4 courses took almost 2 hours to come, with very little interaction from our server - we weren’t offered more drinks or bread etc. This was especially disconcerting, as the two tables either side of us (both ordering the steak special) were given far more attention.We were offered petit fours before our bill arrived - sadly these were inedible. Huge lumps of bitter dark chocolate, encasing plain nuts. The chocolate was not tempered, so it was so dense and hard to bite - we did not bother eating!Pleasant ambience but definitely wouldn’t venture out of central Cape Town, where there are far more interesting vegan offerings. Shame.

We tried the Vegan Tasting Menu and it was a true foodie experience. The combination of different flavours and textures was a joy for the palate and an artist couldnt have plated the food more beautifully. Gregory, the sommelier, did a wonderful wine pairing job and each glass complimented the meals superbly. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and just being in the classy (but not over-the-top posh) Azure Restaurant with tasteful ocean-inspired interior design and a cosy fireplace was a wonderful experience. Will definitively be back!

Unmatched setting, the waiters are on a level of their own, food is good and orders arrive fast. On top of that, the prices are reasonable. Ive came back to this place many times.

I want to thank the Azure team for hosting us on 7 November 2020, at 18:00.Everything was perfect and my mom really enjoyed her 60th birthday.I specifically want to thank our waiter, Luyolo.He was so professional, we communicated efficiently and he was key to the overall success of the whole evening. I want to rate his services as EXCELLENT, he really deserves more than a 5 star rating!The food was also out of this world! And the birthday dessert plate that they did for my mom was absolutely stunning! Huge compliments to the chef! Keep up the good service! We will definitely be back!

We had a great time on Friday at Azure Restaurant celebrating a birthday! Everything was on top the food was superb! Our waiter Judge was excellent! Will definately come back!

We had such a wonderful evening here. We had a family dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday having been recommended the restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. The service was top notch, the view is beautiful and the food was delicious. Thanks for the great memories!

Very poor service in all areas. Not made to feel special despite the exorbitant prices. The manager is clueless and arrogant. The food portions are tiny (particularly the starters). The view and ambiance are great. If you are planning to celebrate a special event like a birthday or anniversary with your spouse then avoid this place - extremely disappointing.

We have been there in January. We wanted to see the stunning sunset! Which is stunning! For a table with a view, you should book in time! We did not expect much. We were surprised positively! The food was good, the portions a bit too big. Nothing special, but nothing wrong. But our young female sommelier was great! We are very spoiled about wines and good restaurants, but she made our day! She changed my opinion about pinot noir that evening and choosed a very good wine! #Mega!! :)

Id like to start by saying that I adore the leopard lounge and the hotel itself, Azure on the other hand is a huge disappointment. My husband and I went to Azure to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary (mind you we got married at the 12 Apostles Hotel). When I tried to make a reservation they told me they were fully booked and I could be put on a waiting list, fair enough. I then thought to email the wonderful wedding team and asked if they could help arrange a reservation, as wed like to celebrate at the hotel we got married in. Of course, the wedding team did not disappoint, they arranged a table and time. Happy, until we got seated. Our waiter was busy(Zolani) but another waitress (Samantha) helped us out. We were given complimentary drinks, which werent to our liking, so we ordered a bottle of Moët. Only to be told by Sam, that she will put it on ice and our waiter will be with us just now. So we had to wait for someone else to open a bottle that we ordered because its not her table and we were left with the drink that we didnt like. Drag. The food is subpar, nothing to write home about. For a special treat, mind you, after we had our dessert already served to us, was a sorry plate with two tiny truffles, that were not great and two hard lumps of something covered in chocolate. That was the saddest happy anniversary dessert Ive ever seen, agian AFTER we ordered a dessert. Coffee came after the dessert, was never asked if we wanted sugar... I really could go on.For anyone looking to have a wonderful dinner look somewhere else, like the leopard lounge. Has great views, good food and live music on the weekends. As for me, I will not be going back to Azure any time soon. Nor would I recommend it, I would highly advise against it.

This 5 star restaurant can be found in the luxury hotel 12 Apostel Hotel.The location is an absolute dream. The restaurant or hotel is located just in front of the 12 Apostle Mountains at the end of Chapmans Peak Drive at Camps Bay.Especially the terrace overlooking the sea. Here you have during dinner probably the best view of the sunset.
