I went out of my way to buy the red meat specials. Sadly I was disappointed with really sad looking lamb chops. Also no stock of the beautiful cuts in the advert. I voted two stars out of compassion. Please guys give our community the same quality as the Constantia store. Not fancy fittings but good quality meat. Surely that is a reasonable request. Sincerely

HiI have been shopping at Kenilworth center branch for a number of years and spend considerably large amount of my salary on groceries but I am now sick and tired of being harassed by door security who i feel are definitely profiling me because of my dress. Perhaps its my beard or islamic attire sometimes, or cap which seem to make the security think I capable of shoplifting.This has happened on several occasions and more recently today where I am made to feel as if i am a common criminal. I am sick and tired of this type of what i deem as harassment making my time out shopping for groceries uncomfortable, anxious and unpleasant. I wouldve overlooked this had it happened once or maybe twice but having to feel like this most times I shop at the store is unacceptable especially since i spend so much money at this store.I know what they look like and next time at the store ill take their names perhaps someone can address this with them.I hope this will be addressed, next time i will take their names. Its absolutely preposterous in this day an age to hound people through aisles if there are definitely security cameras all over the place.

So this other day l and my wife were lazy to cook and we decided to buy Roasted chicken... Wow the chicken is so amazing we couldnt get enough.. If you are craving for Roasted chicken, Checkers,Kenilworth is the one to go for and their staff is so friendly. We will pop by again soon

Very dirty, selling old food (smelling cook/fried chicken) the smell is so horrible dead smell. Very disgusting my colleagues always complaining 4pc of chicken for R11 only 1pc is ok

The rating is for the delivery guy outside that parked me in. There are no signs saying that those bays are for delivery vehicles. The other delivery guys didnt want to give his number to call him. It was only when I got a security from inside that the guy came out to move his vehicle. He didnt apologise for doing that, he told me that its his bay to park in.I want others to be aware in case they get parked in.

Very dirty, bird droppings on the products and signage. Absolutely zero enforcement of social distancing as well as almost bare shelves. Very disappointing...

Good shoping experience

I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter. Unfortunately, they were having printing problems and the image was distorted. I got a call from Marco explaining their predicament and that they would offer me the cake and a refund. I was very happy with the way things were handled and because of that, I declined the refund and my daughter was still delighted regardless. Thank you 😃

This morning, 23rd Sep at 08:00am to Checkers Kenilworth-Medirite as it state on google that they open at 08:00am. I need to get medicine for my migraine and told the security and staff member at medirite this an emergency. They show me away, because they was busy with training. I ask the lady nice to please help me. But they did not. So my question is: WHERE IS THE SERVICE THESE DAYS?!

Shocking experience. Zero social distancing, long long lines with very few cashiers, people marching in with out sanitizing. Stood in the Express queue for 15 minutes before leaving my armful of items. Horrible. Get it together Checkers.

Went in to get baby formula and a few other items only to be told at the counter that the store doesnt have the device that takes out the ring metal detector that is at the bottom if the tin. So why stock it on the shelves? And also they didnt even have stock of the my garden special promotion.

I did some shopping today at Game and took that trolley and did the rest of my shopping at Pick & Pay. Then I needed to get a cake at Checkers, was very disappointed when the security turned me away from the store, because my trolley was full. I left and went to Woolies instead.

My cashier was chatting away, while not wearing a mask. The manager came over to do an adjustment at her till, but didnt ask the cashier to put on a mask.

I was very disappointed with the security guard at the entrance,he was not there I had to ask the other security from the exit entrance to call him on his radio,that is when he reported by the entrance.Ive asked him if he could let me in the store since im 7 months pregnant he told me to join the que which was ending by the pet shop..I told him this is the only checkers store i know that would refer a pregnant person to join the line during the lockdown.I went to pick n pay no hassles.i think the store manager need to communicate with the securities in his store.

Worst. Bought a dinner set. Only for it to be covered in rat piss and poo - it was also missing a bowl.

Huge store in a very busy and extremely popular shopping centre. Loads and loads of stock...except items advertised on special! Yes, that would appear to be a general problem not only for our family but for others as well. A visit to the store yesterday 27 September 2019 was met by a local shopper or two also looking for specials which were advertised. The comment made was Oh, typical Checkers. No stock as usual. What a pity. The store remains a busy one, though.

Absolutely disgusting that I had to call three times to enquire about platters from the catering department only to be answered by a less than interested individual who then transferred me and then have the phone thrown down in my ear. I attempted the call three times out of sheer frustration with the same result. If this is prudent on the type of service you offer to customers, Checkers at Kenilworth will not get any business from me.

I bought sushi a couple of times at this particular branch. At first it was nice and fresh but my recent purchase was really disappointing. I bought sushi about a week ago and the presentation was disgusting but and ignored it since I was on a diet and wanted some healthy. When i ate it it fell apart, the avocado was so brown and there were bones in the fish. Please ensure that this doesnt happen again because I wouldnt want another customer to experince what I had experience.

Will never come back to this Checkers again. 4 tills were open with queues going down the isles. When I asked if they could open another, I was shouted at that admin was busy and then I was dismissed. DISGUSTING. You guys arent that special. You saw what happened to Enterprise. Same can happen to you.

Awesome place to shop and get all you need under one roof

Checkers is generally good. The staff at the kios is exceptionally slow and no customer service. They have conversations first before and while helpn clients but at a very slow rate. No care in the world attitude which is why i give a max 3 stars . Prices on shelves often do not correspond to what is scanned at the till. Fruit n veg is of poor n degraded quality.

Great place to shop at indeed, I visited your store today and I received an excellent service from Nolubabalo Makhawula, inviting friendly face, what I liked most about her is that as she was serving me at the till point she kept on telling me about items that are on promotion which I knew nothing about up until I reached her.. In our supermarks we need cashiers like her..

Whats the use in buying shoprite stamps and the cashiers refuse to count them. I had 2 cashiers who refused to count my stamps I eventually just paid with my card. Very disappointed. What if I didnt have money?
