Great walk steep but breathtaking views. Did the long walk through Newlands Forest up to Block House. 11.8 km of beautiful nature

Service seemed good at first. Waiter didnt get the order 100% but other than that the breakfast was good. Waiter recommended the trailblazer breakfast, but I didnt see much difference compared to taking the unreal breakfast and topping up with one top up only.

I order through Bolt, food arrived in 35 minutes. The packaging was nice and tidy. The food was warm and delicious, really enjoyed the meal

As I understand it, this was only the second Spur restaurant to open its doors and is currently the oldest active Spur in the country. Excellent experience for us every time we go for both young and old. Theres always a great special or two on their menus as well. Would highly recommend.

Often pop in here for at least great coffee and sunset minutes. Over many years, experienced the branch to be one of the better Spurs. More hygienic with a more intimate sense of serve and building client rapport.unfortunate, about two weeks ago, i was served by a new waiter. Not the most pleasant or genuine personality. After I questioned her on the use of their fresh cream on cappuccino, which she was very stern and insistent on her knowledge, knew it is fresh cream and no need to have it confirmed. When the order arrived i raised my eyebrow at the taste of that fresh cream. Called the waiter again to confirm the fresh cream to be fresh cream, before I place the order for a Irish coffee, which I felt to enjoy one for a change after many months . ,SADLY my coffee was served with artificial fresh cream. The after taste of such cream after one sip is absolutely disgusting.(for me- horrible after taste)Another waiter, working there, I posed the same question. Hes response was, maam, give me a moment, let me go and make sure. At hes return he confirmed the artificial cream in use .The lesson here in the learning was what i hope the young arrogant lady will learn.The manager on duty was very attentive and understanding .. (Kitchen manager) Outside of all the mentioned, I just wish to say thank you So much for kind and gentle manner of working out a unpleasant technicality. This , yet again, another reason to support this branch.Thank you

I have always had a good experience at this Spur, and I have been coming here since I was a toddler. This Spur is part of so many happy memories, and is definitely one of my highlights of growing up in Boston. I would highly recommend this Spur to anyone who is looking for a great food, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. This Spur is a great example of People with a taste for life seeing that everyone here is friendly and delivers great service. This is by far the best Spur I have been to.

We usually love going to this spur, their food is amazing but was a bit disappointed this morning. We stood in line to get signed in and a lady infront of us had a temp of 37.8 and they laughed and said its just because of the jacket she has on. With the 3rd wave I dont think people should be laughing about a temp that high. Especially if there is so many people who waited to get seated.

This restaurant has gone through many changes over the years, in terms of management, appearance, and it even was another restaurant for a while. It remains a great place for family meals at a very well-known and loved South African brand.

We had the Rump/Sir Loin special on 20 March 2019 @ Silver Spur and also on the 17 March 2019 @ Soneike Spur.If we have to compare the two meals the meal served on the 17th of March 2019 had more chips and onion rings and the sauce was filled to the brim of the sauce bowl.However, the experience wasnt the same at the Silver Spur Branch and for me who is a lover of Spur it was a real let down for me. Less chips, onion rings and sauce were provided tonight.Our waitress, Candice, did a great job.It is the lack of consistency between branches that is the problem here.

Silver spur Cape town is the best ever. Friendly staff they go out of their way and make you feel very comfortable. They food is tops. Fresh. Not like the Spur in Pe.

Food is excellent as well as the service excellence

This spur has been around for decades rather than years and still pulls in young and old alike. I believe its largely due to the good service. Ive eaten here several times over the years and have never had a poor experience. Its still Spur so manage your expectations, but the staff are friendly and well trained and the beer is cold.

Good food and friendly service. Nice play area for the kids and some decent choices on the kids menu. The staff are also kid friendly. Menu has a good range of choices and prices are very reasonable for the quality.The only minor complaint was that the booths are quite a tight fit for us larger chaps but as soon as the booth beside us emptied our waitress moved the bench on that side to give us a bit more breathing space. A little extra service that did not go unnoticed.Their beers are served nicely chilled and the wine list is quite reasonable. Steaks were served correctly cooked as ordered. My sirloin was delicious. Add excellent bathroom cleanliness and definitely worthy of the five stars.

We ordered the Monday special.. Went to fetch it but would rather eat my meal there. Being busy I waited almost 45 minutes for my meal and even though advertised for R50 they charged R60 each.. Burger soya type was dry and tasteless and the rest ok-ish.. No social distancing on collection and many incoming patrons not sanitizing before entering the establishment.. Not impressed!!!!!

As Spurs go, this is a great one. You can expect the great quality of Spur good (always delicious and good value for money!)Why we like this Spur so much though, is that the play area isnt the giant jungle gym, typical of most Spurs, but is an open room with various activities for children of all ages. So there is something for all children. There are also cameras so you can observe your children from the tables around the play area.Add a wonderful wonderful staff to all this, and youve got a great night out for the whole family.

My mother, brother And I went to have supper there tonight and it was served by a guy named Justin who I may say was great👌🏽, he was so friendly and efficient and always made sure we were Okay and enjoying our meals. Then we left and as soon as I got home I forgot the smallest thing, my lip balm and my goodness I phoned and asked to speak to Justin and as soon as I told him who it was he said,” your lip balm ma’am” and I said yes. Totally impressed by his observation In that small space of time knowing he had other people to serve. Will definitely be back hopefully served by Justin again.

The Spur experience was everything one would expect. Excellently executed by the grillers and staff on duty. I was famished and I was blessed with a 3 course meal that desevers my time to write this review.

Not impressed tonight. Being my favourite Spur for many years my steak and chips arrived cold and my butternut only after i finished my meal. A simple sorry is not enough. Dissapointed.

Im referring to the Spur above Ok. Very dissapointing and expensive experience. I had visitors from America and Vietnam with me, supposed to be a joyeous occasion. As soon as we got our food, (the cheese werent even melted on the burger) the aircons were switched off before 8pm. It was too hot to eat and enjoy the evening. Besides that, I called and arranged to get a replacement spur card as I also gave my membership no, and have been e mailed prior, by spur as I have previous vouchers available. When I asked for the bill, I was told that my vouvchers cant be used as I have to activate the card on line. It doesnt end there. Once home, I went on line, and werent able to complete the entire process. Honestly Spur. With such a variety of restaurants with much better food, service and variety around, youre just not worth the effort.
