Service was very quick in this spur. I got in, and as soon as I sat, my waiter was here introducing themselves and asked what was I having for drinks. I ordered a drink and a spare rib special. It took about 2 minutes to get the drink, as I was still looking at my phone without touching my drink, my meal was here already. The ribs were good as usual. Onion rings were crispy outside and with a lil bit of tenderness and sweetness on the inside. Exactly how I love them. As I finished, I requested waffles. This time they had a cherry on top and I very much enjoyed them. So I am giving this spur all star for the fastest service ever, and for the good food. I didn’t hear music a lot because this spur is inside the mall and I sat right at the corner where your view is the mall.

In late August I went to Century City to spend the day with my son. We decided to have lunch at Spur. It was packed and after waiting a while we got our food which was a huge disappointment, the wings was micro sized and I’ve had wings from Spur before. We ordered expensive burgers 🍔 and it wasn’t warm enough as well as the roll was stale to the point where it was crumbling.And to top it off the chips was oily and unappetizing 🤢 at this point I asked the Manager to at least change the chips for a fresh batch but when it arrived we were basically full and we had to make it in time for the movies 🍿. All in all it was the worst dining experience ever and because I don’t like taking it out on the waiters I normally tip big and this day I did the same. To spur I say this is unacceptable to serve your customers sub standard food when we pay top dollar for something we meant to enjoy. Please fix this as it’s not right.

Customer satisfaction is last on the list. I simply asked to swop out a pork rib for a lamb chop and I did not worry what extra I had to pay. My request was denied and I feel that they dont cater different cultures where food is concern.

....Spurs country wide is always our home away from home. Back in the day this Spur was a regular hangout place from us but with all the Spurs popping up closer to home we neglected coming here but tonight we happened to be in the area and needed to dine so we decided to come around for dinner. And like always we were welcomed with smiles and showed to our pew with delight. Ashley our waiter was a pleasure to have around and he served us well! We ordered a cheddar melt steak with chips and onion rings and two burgers with bacon and guacamole with chips and onion rings. The steak was first class and prepared just as ordered and our burger rolls were fresh. We enjoy our visit here. This Spur has one of the most outstanding locations as it occupies such an awesome massive space above the food court in the Canal Walk even if you enter this restaurant through the main door most of the seating is outside under the massive ceilings with all the air condition piping making it look like a Space Station out of a comic book scene. The vibe and ambiance is true-lii OUTDOOR! even if there is no blue skies but there is sure-lii enough fresh breezy air blowing down from the over-head large pipes. From some seats you have the wonderful sight of the massive Christmas Tree towering in splendour. A magical place to enjoy home-lii foods.....

The ladies toilets are down right nasty and disgusting. The smell when you walk in is so vile its burns your nose. The one toilet was so gross nobody went in for obvious reasons and to top it all off there is no water to flush. I have never been so disgusted at a restaurant toilet before 🚻. They need to do something about because its simply unhygienic and thats me being kind. Spur Canal Walk, please devote some time to ensuring your ablution facilities are welcoming to your paying customers. They deserve better than this nastiness of a ladies toilet.

We have been here a few times but this time was for my daughters birthday. We had fun and my daughter had a great time there.The food was delicious and staff were great. They sang the Spur birthday song, it was the 1st time I was at the table when they sang and cant wait to have them possibly do that for my birthday. Its a must do for kids as they thoroughly enjoy the song and the free desert.Its good to ask about it before hand though.

Horrible service! The longest Ive ever had to wait for my food! Only to be served with cold food!! I returned it only for it to served worse, my meat looked like it had been eaten, tasted like rubber, so obviously it was just chucked itno the microwave!!

Covid-19 protocols in place, way too many people in close proximity although screens between booths were in place, waiters not adhering to any social distancing protocols at the kitchen or bar area when collecting orders, waiters not sanitising the booths regularly after each patron leaves with the required sanitising liquid is not being conducted - I had to sanitise the booth we were seated at with my own sanitiser, food was OK, chips was not fried all the way through & very oily, manager Kelvin graciously brought us another side of fries which was much better prepared, waiter then incorrectly claimed vouchers she was told not to claim.

The first time i went to Spur (last year) I totally hated the onion rings, but this Spur here honestly turned that around and it was the best onion rings ever. They were well-seasoned!! Other branches will have to take notes from you guys because their rings are bland. My T-bone steak was done to perfection.The only complaint I have is just that the music gets a bit too loud at times

Clean, neat, friendly, hot food, large order all off the grill at once. Tasty and tender meat. Generous helpings.

We had one of the trio specials and my oh my!! It was delicious!! The portion was perfect, my burger was well cooked and so juicy and my chips...I wanted more 🤣🤣The place was fuller than usual, but the service was on point. We didnt wait long to get in and we didnt wait long for our meal either.

The waiters are always friendly and you always get greeted by everyone when visiting the restaurant. Still my vavourite place to get a crumbed chicken burger!

Its really big and noisy so I tend to want to sit closer to the inside of the restaurant. The food last night was miles better than the previous time I was there. The service was good. Would go back but not during peak time.

Just wish they didnt blast us with the birthday songs every few minutes (head-inducing and conversation-stopping, its way too loud). But, I enjoyed my meal and drink, might go back with earplugs (love the onion rings!)

Not the best food as far as quality go, but the fact that they cater for children almost first and foremost makes this a good place the eat at when you have children under 8 years old. The best part is that you do not pay an arm and a leg for kiddies meals.

Never used to go to Spur as it is mediocre at best but it is still great if you have children. On this occasion my steak was perfectly done. So there is that.

The food was horrible.. The burger bread was old and the onions not even crispy with full of oils.. The chips they dish u not crispy and ounce you ask to be one Lil crispy, it vines burnt. The best spur is 1. Strand street and 2. waterfront

We got seated very quickly. Lucretia our waitress were very efficient and got our orders to us quickly. We had a little problem with our ribs and Jason the manager sorted us out immediately. Great service . The kids loved their sauce burgers:)

I worked at this Spur 20 years ago and boy was I disappointed at how it has gone downhill.We arrived this morning for breakfast. I specifically asked for a non smoking seat only to have a waitress lead me to the smoking area. Really? I declined and was directed to another place to sit. My husband noticed the seat and it was under bird poop. I took lead and chose a place for us to sit. Our waitress was ok. But thats just it. She was ok. The overall experience was such a disappointment and it was horrid. I ordered the steak egg and chips. My steak (well done) was cold with pink pieces and it was dry and chewy. The egg didnt taste fresh. The chips were a bit oily. My coffee tasted like the beans were burnt. The cutlery were dirty. The sauce containers were gross. And even though most would say I should have complained, I feel it wouldnt have helped. The overall cleanliness was 2 star. The people working there had no vibe and you could see most were miserable working there. I wanted to show my husband the awesome place I used to work, but I guess some places simply do not hold the pride and high standards they used to. Even though the quality in service was horrid, I ate, I paid, but this place will never see me again.

09/01 - visited to venue again today and food was great. Just that they were offline and the management did nothing to help the staff attend to the customers. Went to pay and the manager scolded our waitress for not sorting stuff out. HOW CAN IT BE HER FAULT IF SYSTEMS OFFLINE.Ordered a kids meal chicken strip and got a breast fillet cut in pieces without any dip sauce etc. that was not as per the kids menu. Staff insisted it is the same. Ordered another one for myself and this was now sent to our table.Mentioned to Themba that they seem to have recycled someone’s meal and have us the chicken.

Food was bland and dry, hardly any basting on my burger. Bun was stale as well. Service was also really bad.My daughters kids crumbled chicken breast burger was nice though. It was juicier than my beef burger.

The best staff members and welcoming environment more than any other spur I have visited in Capetown. Loved the singing and dancing.

Went there today and I left extremely disappointed. The burger patties were dry and tasteless (extremely bland), no basting sauce. The chips were old and tasteless. Never again. Couldve eaten a lot better for cheaper somewhere else.

Milkshakes are really good. Burgers pretty good. Cheddarmelt schnitzel totally rocks.

1st of to order a beer they bring you a warm beer ask for a cold beer and still received a warm beer. The nachos where great. The buffalo wings ordered hot wings they bring wings dripping in sauce.

Loved it ....the waiter was good. Good communications, but we never saw a manager on our table just to compliment our waiters good job. I wanted to take off 2 stars becauses the management were busy standing by the pass laughing and talking but because of our guy my wife and l felt guilty and just left all 5 stars to the waiter.

After braving the lock down, we decided to go eat at Spur last week. I ordered the steak special and it was AMAZING! The steak was cooked to perfection, the pepper sauce was one for the books! I however cannot recall our waiters name but he was amazing, so friendly and very helpful! And well done on the Covid 19 protocols in place, was very pleasing.

Ordered the Mohawk deal. Got ribs that smell like rotten @ss. A manager came to collect it and then I explained to her that my fiance already start eating his ribs but it smells bad. Manager came back saying that the head chef said there is nothing wrong with it but I received another one. Its like they imply that youre lying. Its their job to smell weither this is bad or not. Maybe the health inspector can tell whos lying. She said the meat was pre cooked the previous day. So does that mean your food is fresh?

Well opon first arrival staaf was friendly and seated us imidiatly,although the restaurant was abit hot it was neat and clean.The play area is also very safe for childeren with cameras that shows you on some of the tvs whats going on so you dont have to sit close to the area to keep an eye on them.The food was realy good and was served rather quickly went for their monday spesial witch is only R50 for burger meal.8/10 would go again.

Not my best Spur experience. The ribs my fiance and I ordered was the worst ever and we are both spur rib fans. It was dry and certainly nowhere near the signature spur Ribs we love. There seemed to have been more waiters than clients. All of whom congregated at the entrance during our entrance and exit. Obviously annoying customers wanting to come in. I had to ask a waiter to move from the foot santiser station so I could use it. We had to leave our table to pay for the meal. The manager held meetings at the entrance blocking customers. I will never return to that spur ever.

I have to say that was the worst experience Ive had in a long time.We were a party of four and only received one menu. Only after asking for additional menus we received just one. Our order took long even though they werent busy and not all of the drinks arrived as per our order.The floors were dirty (wish I took a picture) and the waiter sanitised the table with an actual Spur wet wipe! Needless to say I wont be visiting them anytime soon. Service and overall experience was appalling!

Fast efficient service

Nice service but unfortunately the food was ice cold and i had more crumbs than a chicken breast for a burger.I told the manager i wasnt happy and was disgusted for having to eat cold food.He only said sorry, did not charge for my food but i never received the offering of getting a warm plate of food or something else in advanced... Very disappointed in the service 👎🏼

Service was a bit slow. My husband order a non alcoholic beer waited a while to receive it. When he eventually got his food his food was cold. Wont be going back anytime soon. Literally 10 minutes after leaving spur I had to run to the toilet. Worse experience Ive ever had from eating at spur.

So hubby requested a carb conscious breakfast .....he gets fries with it? Service was slow and they couldnt swipe my family card because I am not registered but I have this card for years.....

I decided to take my family out for dinner and we ordered pork ribs. The smell of the ribs was unbearable which was a surprise to me that the chef did not notice this. They did, however, compensate us for the inconvenience and I applaud their service👏👏👏

Food and service was good - just a pity their website says they open at 9h00 and it is only 10h00. We went there especially instead of the one closer to us since the website said it was open. I asked the manager and he just said its the social media teams fault, not his problem! Really?

Good Day,I would like to give a compliment to a manager called Blessing, He gavemy family and I an amazing service.When we first arrived we did not have a waiter, we informed him and he assisted us immediately and an awesome service that I never experienced before.I will definitely recommend people to eat at Century Spur especially when they are with their kids.
