Stopped by on a Sunday to grab some cake and hot chocolate. Was a bit disappointed that some items on the menu werent available such as the Nutella hot chocolate but the red velvet cheese cake was divine and the service good.

Perfectly prepared battered fish and steak dishes, ambiance was lovely and the wine on point, a great place for long visits or a quick bite to eat

La Belle is a beautiful, clean and quality venue in Constantia at the Alphen Hotel. The food is of a very high standard and well presented. Very helpful and friendly waiters. There is a breakfast, lunch and mains menu with dessert and cakes as well. If you are not wearing a mask you are not allowed to enter. There is a sanitizing station at the entrance and a sanitizer on every table. The venue has a lovely outdoor section under the oak trees and an indoor section.

Stunning environment, feels very close to nature. Food however nothing wow, and overpriced. The bacon I had was burnt, had to ask for jam and condiments, which came after food was already cold. A butter blob was put on one piece of bread. One would expect, as with the other restaurant in Constantia, that jam, butter and condiments be served in closed single serving containers, during Covid times....

My backyard ♡ A glorious venue and the heart of Alphen. Friendliest staff and memorable moments. Ive frequented this hotel as both a neighbour, an overnight guest, and a visitor before and after the renovations and upmarket changes. Lets say I have loved this hotel for years! Nothing beats a walk around the garden.

We had scones and tea. Scones were dry. The seating outside is beautiful under the trees.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was delicious, I would recommend it to anybody who wants a scenic dining experience. There is a hotel as well and they have other associated restaurants and venues. My friend took me here to celebrate my birthday. I was absolutely delighted with the environment. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and fast. When she wasnt available she ensured that there was another waiter helping us. I believe it is a great place for those who want to take some photos. You can walk around and take picture by the pool, the mini golf course. It is absolutely family-friendly. The prices are fair given the type of dining place. Ooooh I am not really a fan of baked cheesecake but La Belle converted me. Their Cheesecake was amazing.

Eggs benedict great but ciabatta was burnt and v difficult to cut. I should have asked for a steak knife.

An impromptu visit for our anniversary turned out to be very special. Our waitress arranged this beautiful plate of sweets to wish us happy anniversary from the restaurant. What an expected surprise

A very beautiful little bistro, with the perfect surrounds for all fresco dining. The menu is small but inclusive - and yet still manages to be vegetarian friendly.

Had the steak, asked for medium rare, got it well done. Lacked flavor, very bland. Pepper sauce was extremely runny and tasted nothing like pepper sauce.Great seating out and inside... Great fire place for winter days. Friendly staff

We only just popped into LA Belle for cake and coffee. My carrot cake was outstanding. Just the way I like it with cream cheese frosting and walnuts. The crystallized orange rind on top rounded it off perfectly. My wifes lemon meringue was just the right mix of sweet and tart. The meringue was soft and creamy. She felt that the portion was big enough to be shared.Service was good from the time we arrived. Well worth visiting this establishment.

It was very convenient for us as we were staying at an Airbnb nearby. The location is gorgeous. We went there twice for breakfast and had very decent eggs benedict in the sun, on the terrasse. Very nice. Dinner was more disappointing, and cakes really not good. Service was definitely better in the evening than in the morning.

Stunning laid back venue with 3 different restaurant choices in one estate...we went to the informal Cafe for cake and light drinks... The cake was ok... But am sure the other cakes are excellent...its doggy friendly so can take your fur baby with...in a quite outdoor setting...the other restaurant is a little more formal but outdoor... Then there is the lounge/bar area near the pool deck which is stunning for afternoon cocktails etc...

Our first stop in since the beginning of 2020, the food and service have always been good and in these times they continue to go the extra mile to meet the needs of their patrons. We grabbed a small lunch, mussel dish and crispy calamari. Both were incredible, presentation was perfect and very well balanced. Whomever is managing the kitchen is doing excellent work. Finished off with coffee and the berry tart to share. Good flow of patrons and almost every seat occupied both inside and out. Thanks again Alphen team.

A half hour walk from our AirBnB, this spot was a perfect place for a breakfast! I had a banana and peanut butter shake, and the fabulous avocado toast! My boyfriend had a latte and a bacon benedict. The service was attentive, and spot on. We would definitely love to revisit this spot!

Took my mom for her birthday, extremely disappointing, bad service - not very warm and welcoming, food was okay but overpriced, crazy how places like these exist in south africa.

Reasonbly priced given setting. Lovely outdoor seating area. Inside was nice and cool. Restaurant was a little busy, but service was acceptable.Had a very good Chicken Mayo and a particularly delicious Chicken Pesto Tagliatelle I would recommend.

Superb upmarket pattesierie served by well trained waitrons. The patio section of the Bistro has a tranquil atmosphere set in a lush garden environment. It forms part of the 5 star Alphen Boutique Hotel. Highly recommended.

La Belle Constantia is set at the luxurious Alphen Hotel, where youll be treated to rich heritage and historical architecture. My partner and I sat down for a early dinner, and enjoyed a bottle of local Shiraz. The service, throughout our stay, was impeccable. For mains my partner ordered the Fillet Béarnaise, grilled to perfection - I was lucky to enjoy a bite. I unfortunately couldnt say the same for the Sirloin which I recieved, which was not cooked to the temperature requested, along with the quality of the Sirloin not meeting our expectations. For dessert, we each enjoyed a world-class New York cheese cake - a lovely way to top off the evening.

Pleasant lunch,great ambience

Ordered grilled halloumi which was delicious and perfectly grilled with side greens and salted caramel tart; also delicious. We were looking for a cheese board & it is a great pity that they no longer offer them. I would strongly suggest they bring it back or offer a tapas option as this place is perfect just for a glass of wine on a balmy Saturday afternoon. The service from our waiter was THE best I have received in almost 6 months. She was knowledgeable, friendly & engaging. Halloumi was so delicious, I forgot to snap a pic!

I decided to go to La Belle for brunch to celebrate my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was so tranquil and the service was 5 star. When my waitress heard it was my birthday she brought a special plate decorated with Happy Birthday written on it and the manager and rest of staff all came to wish me made me feel so special. Thank you for an awesome experience 😊💖

Really friendly people turned a wet miserable day into a really pleasurable outing.

Seems as though this place has done down in service and quality. Our waitress failed to tell us about the additional breakfast menu despite my husband asking if this was all that is on your breakfast menu? . Also, our hot chocolate and mocha cups were full of chocolate powder on the outside....at least wipe down your cups before service! And lastly, the bagel we were served tasted stale and had a crumbly texture.

Very expensive although the location is beautiful.Service was tardy and the prices were crazy for a lunch! I have had better meals for the price. Kitchen only opens at 12 noon.Bathrooms need to be upgraded as well. Loose handles on the taps and tardy toilets.

There are no much vegan option, I can only see a farmers bowl. Good to call it a vegetarian place. I hope I will see more vegan option on my next visit.

Great dog-friendly spot right next to the alphen Trail that specialises in delicious cheese cake. Or at least, the cheesecake is so good we have never wanted to try anything else. Apple-caramel cheesecake will change your life. Great service, lovely atmosphere under the oak trees, and good, though limited wine-list considering the location.

Really like this place for breakfast or bruch or even around tea time. Nice to either do breakfast here or coffee and dessert. The setting is really nice. Having Breakfast or Tea-Time on the terrasse is wonderfully restorative.The patisserie collection is well worth the name!No, not the usual range of stuffy, overfilling and oversized, boring red velvet, cheese and carrot cakes. Instead, you will find deliciously tasteful and perfectly executed small pieces of confctionary. What a treat!

Stunning coffee shop in the beautiful gardens of the Alphen Hotel. Choose from pastries, breakfasts or lunches or grab a takeaway coffee. We drank ours on the lawns under the shade. The hotel is completely wheelchair friendly. The toilet facilities are wheelchair accessible.

Audience our waitress was great. Fantastic service.My issue is that there are zero vegan options and in trying to make something that suits my dietry requirements by replacing egg and halloumi, the expensive cheese, with some veggies (mushrooms and avo) we were charged extra. Im already paying R120 for a bowl of quinoa.The chef can at least be accommodating.

The venue is quite nice and the service is really good. They played with our little one and he already missing you all. We enjoyed dinner as well as breakfast here. We ordered fish in the evening and the white fish was very delicious. The other fish was a bit to well done, but still tasty. Breakfast was also very nice. I can definitely recommend the egg Benedict. Only had one issue with our drinks. Actually breakfast was included in our stay at Alphen and so was a fruit juice for 45 Rand. I ordered a special juice for 55 instead, which I had to pay completely. Makes actually no sense, because I did not ordered the one for 45. So in future you should just ask people to pay the difference of 10 Rand.
