Lunch at Saveur where we tasted seafood, pasta and salad was a great experience. The service is above average with waiters who truly care and want to make you happy. The food was excellent and the scenery the best part of our experience.

Wholesome breakfast also requested my eggs to be fried in pure butter and the Chef was good with it 👌

Location and views are fantastic across Simonstown Harbour. Large menu choice which looked great. I went for hake and chips, it was good but didnt knock it out of the park to justify the price. thought it was a bit pricey compared to locations very close by.

Bathong!! they brought us rissoto paella instead of seafood pasta .They didnt even acknowledge the fault nor apologize.Maybe they wanted to finish off what they had already cooked for the night before curfew.🧐 or?? we will never know what goes on in that kitchen .🤔👀.Just be honest next time.Their food was edible within reasonable standards though.

Went for their Wednesday night 2 for 1 Gourmet Burger special and was absolutely divine! The Kiwi Island cocktail is amazing!!Definitely worth booking a table in advance to make sure to get the best views.Very quick service and extremely friendly staff! Highly recommended and will definitely be visiting again. Stunning views too.

The view of the yachts in Simons Bay is charming, as are the waiters. The menu was impressive for a relatively small restaurant, and the dishes well prepared.

Saveur is always an experience! Wonder food with great flavours and decent portion sizes. The staff is next level professional and friendly and probably one of the restaurants with the best COVID protocols. Thank you for making every experience at your restaurant a good one!

My waiter, Camps was a true host. Coffee and breakfast was exactly what I needed. Beautiful view. COVID measures are strict and social distancing is strongly advocated.

There is definitely an emphasis on fresh food at Saveur! You can taste the quality in each dish. There are amazing options on the menu to suit everyone. whether you feel like some fish and chips, or braised lamb shoulder... and one of my favorites the chicken, bacon and avo salad an absolute must! The staff, the view and the atmosphere are incredible! Its in my top 5 of best restaurants in Cape Town!

Nice food, had a chicken salad which was fresh, tasty and volumous. My partner had grilled hake with chips and salad, which was tasty and well prepared. The food arrived quickly, and the staff were friendly and engaging. Will happily return.

A great location to grab a bite.It’s wonderful to sit on the balcony with its direct view to the harbor.Unfortunately I waited almost 40 minutes for my fettuccine to be ready and when they came, they were drowning in a thick cream-sauce without any taste :-(Also the service was way to slow!

We had some time to waste and were quite hungry. We went to one restaurant but they didnt really cater for kids so moved on to Saveur. Its decor is very basic cannot understand the fine dining comments. The menu had a good choice...not your normal meals. My son was very impressed with his humongous looking burger and enjoyed the chocolate milkshakes... He had two... My salmon, avo salad was great, no complaints there and my partner enjoyed his pork belly. The prices are reasonable but not something we can afford every day. We sat inside and enjoyed the view from the window. We got a warm welcome and the service was good. We will visit again during the week as they have daily specials.

Breakfast was really good, for dinner, we opted to have seafood pasta as one of the recommended dishes, to our surprise, we were served with a seafood rissoto, to make matters worse, the waiter and the assistant chef did not bother to apologize nor bring up the change in dishes - huge disappointment!! 🤔🙄🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Saveur is a beautiful spot right above the Simons Town harbour. We booked a table right by the window and enjoyed the viewed. (Picture in the evening below) Customer service was excellent. The restaurant has specials three nights of the week: Tuesday steak night, Wednesday burger night, and Thursday seafood night - all with generous discounts. For fine dining, our dollars went far here. The food (Red Onion Steak and a smoked salmon wrap) left us a little wanting but we were not disappointed.

Spent the weekend in Simons Town and I can truly say, hands down, that your food is absolutely delicious. You have great staff which are super friendly & always on top of their game. I had 2 meals delivered to Aha Hotel, Cajun steak salad it was amazing & chicken wings which were still warm! Your breakfastis top notch. Keep up the good work. My beautiful wife treated me to a lunch at the restuarant SAVEUR. It is a brilliant venue, with a fantastic view. The waitrons are extremely friendly and helpful at the same time. The impression I got was that they would bend over backwards to make and keep you happy. Felt like we hit the jackpot. Food was of a high standard which cant be said for everyone. What a pleasant treat. I would go back there when I find myself with my family in the area. A lovely break from all the other food establishments. My mouth waters as I think back to our visit to SAVEUR. Well worth the time and money. You will regret not going there sooner.

Was seated in the hallway outside the actual restaurant area, near a staircase. Was too hungry to leave, and just hoped the food would be better than our seating. It wasnt. Had the fish and chips, my partner had the mussels. Fish didnt taste much. Overfried and the a thick cardboard consistency outside. Not crispy at all. The fries were covered in some kind of BBQ spice whic Ive never seen done outside of a gas station. How this place is called a gourmet restaurant on Google, and has a 4,3 star rating is very hard to understand.Service was excellent though, and the hake seemed very fresh.

The view, the food and the service was just amazing!

Picturesque setting overlooking the harbour and a few steps from Simons Towns historical attractions. Loved the Gambas Pil-Pil prawns and poppers for starters. Calamari for main was well cooked and tasty. The chilli tomato jam wasnt great, tasted like normal tomato sauce, no heat and didnt complement calamari at all. Our waiter Pilot was just amazing! Super energetic and friendly.

Beautiful setting, with amazing food that has something special, and is not just run of the mill. With the current lockdown restrictions we love visiting because of the view and feeling of being close to the ocean. Try their interesting breakfast options, really worth it

Seriously? I do not understand others great reviews about Saveur, word that stands in French for Flavour and Taste... Perhaps the owners, Rob & Patrick need to review their Chefs cooking... But lets start positively, relatively nice setting, views of the harbor and sea, the staff is welcoming and pleasant. We ordered the Asiette and Catch of the day. Now the Asiettes Cob was nicely executed so as the fish cakes, but the Lemongrass butter was not at all what it should be, it was tasteless, weak in its texture, this was very disappointing as I have personally made this myself and it should be really buttery in its texture with strong flavors. The Calamari strips were tasteless so as the prawns which came in a pair, sorry but I think that a few more should be served for the cost of that dish, but this is my personal opinion. My wifes Cob was really nice too, the salsa was tasteless like it came out of a cheap supermarket ready mix, but the worst was the roasted veggies which were not cooked properly, especially the carrots which were not even cooked, like raw, we pointed out it to the manager and I asked them to be replaced, it didnt happen, I asked later why and was told it must have been a misunderstanding as they were going to discount it from the bill!!! Told them, I was not interested in the discount but properly cooked carrots... Anyway, we were done, so they offered us dessert, but I was not interested. Ordered coffees which were great, R 700 later... Saveur was a very bad experience...A Local/International Toursit trap!

We got a table without booking. The staff was very friendly and made everything possible including a table change because in the entrance area it was windy. Also as the whole city was without electricity they were very professional and put more candles on the tables and battery lights. We enjoyed the stay there.

Was looking foward to enjoying a good meal with my family, Very disipointingexperience,,, Asked to be seated insideonly to be told there is no space, was seated outside at the entrance 3 min later a family also asked to be seated inside and Wow they where seated.I asked the person whom told me that our request to be seated outside can not be granted but advised me that she made a plan for their request.I am so disappointed to say the least.I hope no one else will ever experience this type of service from such a well know established..A customer lost for life..

ENG: surprisingly bad. They offer 50% off on steak on Tuesday. The price tag is 25% higher on which they then count the 50%, tricky. I ordered a Rip Eye, it had no fat eye but a rind, which a Rip Eye does not have. Furthermore that piece of meat had lots of tendons. My wife had a 7oz filet which was just tiny and obviously by far not even close to 7oz. I asked the waiter, he just smiled and insisted several times that it would be a Rip Eye and the filet is 7oz! He did not come back for asking about drinks or quality. Really strange idea of meat, quality and service.I just called a colleague of mine about this restaurant, he had scrambled egg on croissant yesterday morning and suffered nausea throughout the day.

Tried their beyond burger special... Absolutely to die for! The special was properly special. I think we paid R90 for a beyond burger + chips and giant onion rings. Lovely place aswell with a view over the harbour.
