This checkers has wow factor. Well designed. Great premade food section with a great variety of international foods at reasonable prices. By far the best Checkers in the North of Jhb.

Didnt go into Checkers, just bought pan cakes which were made outside on the side walk. There was only one person making pancakes and serving customers and when she had a large order and another customer arrived, she helped the newly arrived customer first and made the customer with the large order wait, which prolonged receiving the big order. The pancakes were nice though.

Nice and quite place. Mainly Monday to Sunday remain open till 7.00 PM

During covid-19 I had a terrible shopping experience here. From the interaction with the first staff member to my final checkout, every moment was beyond terrible. We used to do all of our monthly shopping at what we used to call our checkers. The experience that one day was so bad that Id never go back again and Ive never been again.

Checkers is Checkers, food is ok, prices are great but this one lacks in service on many levels. The biltong/Meat counter is never staffed, even if people are working behind the glass they just ignore you, everytime I have been there since they opened. The Boerewors Roll stand outside is poorly stocked and staffed took almost 40 mins to get 2 rolls as the poor girl had to keep getting more stock, no body helping her. The staff in general are super unfriendly. Would be a wonderful store if only they could pay attention to the little things.

Such a nice neat and well laid out store. Always an excellent selection and service is good.

Usually have a great experience at Checkers Fairlands walk. But today, that was unfortunately not the case.Ciabatta bread wasnt ready, the normal white bread wasnt ready and the bread that we did get collapsed on itself so by the time we got home, we have a big rectangle of folded dough.Very disappointed.
