Fun, spacious and safe play area for the kids. Food, beverages and service was excellent. Loved the cooling water sprays on the outdoor seating area, it was pleasantly refreshing considering todays extreme scorching heat

If there was a place that was built for family its this one. The small humans will enjoy the play centre and the food is incredible.Just beware that they do water down their cordials.

Came here for lunch yesterday (2021-09-30). I waited 40 minutes for the chicken, avo & bacon salad. The restaurant wasnt even full to its capacity, probably 30% nyana. It didnt make sense why I had to wait so long. But the food was great. The salad perfectly done, Im happy. Although your waiter forgot to give me utensils since this was a takeaway. Ill come back though, because the food was great! Maybe next time Ill rate you 4 or 5 star 👍

I like going to this Spur, especially for my 4 year old to play and their always scrumptious avocado and vegetable salad. The music is sometimes too high though.

Fun Spur. Went there on a cold day where I was extremely hungry. Had a meal to satisfy the hunger of a battalion. On a pork diet, but my partner had ribs that looked pretty yummy.The place was a little hard to find then I expected.

This has got to be the best Spur. The staff were fantastic. The food was very good and the play areas for the kids of all ages were awesome. There are play areas for young kids and teenagers. There is also a nice outdoor seated area.

Worst toasted cheese and tomato. Not nearly enough cheese (hardly any). How u possibly mess up such a simple meal is beyond me

Not bad service, just nonexistent service. Took my 3yr old there yesterday and the restaurant was empty. Wanda my waiter didnt even bring us menus and when he did he couldnt be bothered to take our order. I accept bad service when it affects me but my son was so hungry. We actually just walked out

We loved the famous Spur ribs with those crispy onion rings. The service was good and notably the restaurant cordoned off benches to ensure that social distancing was adhered to. Will definitely be back soon.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Just a note the play area is aimed at 5 years plus, so if you have a younger child expect to be involved... not that I mind seeing that I behave like a kid too.

Worst meal at a Spur in years. Slow service. More than an hour...Food arrived cold. Restaurant was not even at COVID Capacity. They were more focused on take out orders than ppl seated. Wont be rushing back.

The atmosphere is alright as far as Spur goes. The manager didnt seem too friendly though and our waiter didnt put any effort in when he realised we werent ordering big meals.Our child had a good time in the play area though and the fact that there was a childminder was a positive.Overall a clean establishment. Would be nice if they had more beer brands on tap (only 2 available - Castle and Castle Lite) and if they upped the effort a little more as it is a family restaurant.But yea, otherwise alright.

I am changing my 5 star rating to a 1 as service has gone down tremendously! We love coming to our local spur, but this is the 3rd time I am disappointed this year! I hope fourways spur make a comeback soon!

This was a standard Spur with standard Spur service. Nothing special about it, but also nothing wrong or bad. The service was fine, even with us sitting outside on an early Friday morning. The staff were friendly and helpful.The only downside was that there was a small problem of the summer flies which hit Joburg over summer, and it did not look like there was any way to keep them at bay. Otherwise, its fine.

Standards seriously dropped, ordered a cheddar melt cheese burger yesterday, Bun was dry, patty was really hard not like a burger, tasted like it was cooked from frozen, small serving of cheese sauce - they used to serve the sauce drenched all over the burger now they give what they call a “portion”. Really disappointed. Did not enjoy my meal.

Sadly I cannot give this restaurant a 5 star rating. We were greeted very friendly and our drinks came in good time, but 45 min later we were still waiting for our food. Spur is not cheap but their service certainly is! I will think twice before stopping here again.

What can I say....I love this place.i am a regular there.i make sure at the end of every month, I take my family to this particular spur branch.The biggest reason is due to the kids play area. Its honestly the nicest and convenient. Every parent wants the ability to have a meal in peace and take there time eating and not have to worry about their kids safety.This spur is perfect for this. We can watch the kids play and not feel rushed a use they bored or not in the mood to eat.I honestly love this spur for the kids area and obviously the food, always good, never disappoints.Another plus side is the wonderful staff that look after the kids while they play, thats another huge plus side thats rare in restaurants.Its not often that there is someone to watch them while you eat in peace, so the fact they have staff dedicated to this specific task is amazing.Thats the extra added touch that keeps me coming back to this place twice a month , the inside staff to watch your kids.Honestly parents understand how important this part is to us. The ability to have a meal in peace and not rush through it just to get home.I will definately keep coming back.

The playground is massive! Kids love it. Plenty of activities here for children so grown ups can rest and enjoy the meal.The quality is good slightly better than other brunches.Staff are really friendly and try to help.Enough free parking is available which is a plus :)
