Oh Wow! Sums up our experience at Simply Asia Eastgate last night. We decided to try out their sushi special which was absolutely incredible.The sushi was some of the tastiest sushi we have ever had, fresh and delicious - their menu offers a wonderful selection. Service was good, staff friendly and efficient.There was obviously a slight wait due to the sushi special demand and preparation - but overall an excellent experience and great value on their special. This huge platter, with 2 coldrinks and the bill wasn’t even R300!

I dont recommend this place at all, its really gone down since the last time I visited here.My waiter was friendly enough but completely inattentive; the table was dirty and the floor had food on it; worst of all my Red Curry was completely bland, it had no flavor whatsoever and wasnt even that warm, same for the rice.

We usually order take-away and it is usually stellar. Last night (a Tuesday) we decided to drive in and collect, and the food was just not up to par. Not only to their own high standard but in general. I actually think my meal, over and above being somehow both salty and tasteless at the same time, has made me feel ill. My wife also didnt enjoy her sushi. Sorry, Simply Asia Eastgate, but something went very wrong last night.

Great Asian restaurant but their food need some seasoning, the take away was bland no salt at all.

I ordered 2 (514s) on the 12 december 2020The food was very much expired. I got food poisoning and was vommiting non-stop the next morning. It was terrible, i regret ordering from there.

The food was great. Well prepared and was quite quick. I would like to rate this particular restaurant franchise higher but I have an issue with Simply Asia in general. It seems that they have a consistency issue. Ive had many friends that have complained that their experiences are not consistent from restaurant to restaurant. Im not sure if its a chef rotation issue or what, but its quite disheartening to the clients. I just would like the same quality Green Curry or Tom Yum Soup at every restaurant.

You cannot go wrong with the 514 chicken. It is my favorite noodle dish. Always good service with decent prices on their noodles. Good value for money. Ideal for a quick bite and you have the option of chili heat level.

This is one of my favourite restaurants! Their duck dishes are yummy. I love very spicy food and this restaurant caters to this preference of mine. I strongly recommend them :) The only thing I dont like is that basil seed drink of theirs. Its free but I really dislike its texture... Otherwise, great restaurant!

Great service, even greater food!

Got there tonight 30 min. prior to closing down. Staff could not wait to tell us they are closing in 30 mins (we knew and just wanted to grab something fast). Almost took the last noodle out our mouths to rush and clean up. Food was great though.

Always delicious Thai cuisine. Delicious noodles, fried rice, etc. Friendly staff.They also serve sushi and you can order many items in either beef, chicken, seafood, or duck.The restaurant is located in such a way that you can either sit inside or experience the fresh air outside.

Waited what seemed to be forever for my meal to only be met by 2 minute noodles and burnt duck. The noodles were overwhelmed by the over generous sping onion garnish. Overall great disappointment for the price I paid.

I absolutely love Simply Asia. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and amazing food that I am addicted to! I love the fact that they have vegan options for me to choose from. Definitely worth the visit.

Always enjoy Simply Asia 2 problems though, takeaway portions are ridiculously smaller than when you sitting and the yellow noodles at Eastgate is a joke - thats 2-minute-noodles. Overall, always hits the spot when craving good Thai food - nom-nom.

The desire to satisfy my Asian palate was rewarded by a rather well flavored/colorful linguine noodle Thai style chicken dish (which was ordered spicy hot) and as I was more than just peckish, I quickly devoured the offering... a feeling of disappointed and satisfaction washed over me at the table, wondering what had just happened...I obviously wanted more!I rated the portions somewhere between 3 and 4 (the portand the overall experience as far as service, quality of product and customer interaction, I rated them a full 5.When the very attentive and caring customer oriented staff viewed my polarized state, I gently said that it would have been nice to have had a little more and said that I would probably top it up with a piece of KFC afterwards. They gently explained to me that the portions are determined by head office.I was not expecting the waitress and junior manageress to act and they quickly set out to remedy the situation. A short while later their gratis dish arrived and was equally as tasty and satisfying as the Linguine, the cashew nut chicken noodle dish was savored at a relaxed pace.I decided to make a festive hog of myself and surrended to a Thai style fried banana and ice cream...yummy!My waitress Rebecca was absolutely fantastic wonderful and Loveness the manageress expressed a professional attitude that other managers in their respective fields could well do to emulate.Rebecca and Loveness thank you very much for making my day and look forward to my next visit (with friends and family).Merry Christmas and a happy new year!Barry

Food is very good and tasty, recommend you come when they have specials like half price sushi on Thursdays.
