Hands down, this is one of my favourite Indian restaurants! Also very very VERY affordable. Its nice and quiet, they dont serve alcohol but youre in the heart of Melville so all those things are already covered. You need to try the vegetarian curry platter. You get like 6 different veg curries with rice with naan bread for R70 🥰 They also serve Indo Asian dishes and whole bunch of other things.

Clean, Great food, great portion size for excellent prices.Competent and Respectful chefs and staff.Shaheed runs a great restaurant that is incomparable to anything in the area.They do it all, from Schwarmas to Pitas to Currys to Kormas to Breyanis...You name it.Vegetarian and Vegan options available.Highly recommend it.

My first visit to Melville. They made a good impression when we walked past the restaurant. Great food at reasonable prices. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will not be my last visit.

Awesome food. Quite a wide variety as well. Would come back here any day. With the open doors, having your meal in-Store is perhaps not as cozy as it could be in winter.

Awesome finding Cape cuisine in the heart or Jhb. The gatsby was big and tasty and hit all the right spots. The lamb curry tasted like home....pure Cape Malay cooking. Ill be back asap

The decor can be misleading but this place has some of the best curry I have had in Johannesburg. Well priced. Worth the drive from Hyde Park.

I first experienced the oriental food bazaar in Cape Town a few years ago whilst being on holiday. Became a daily stop for lunch during my holiday. Needless to say i was overwhelmed when The Oriental Food Bazaar opened up here in Joburg and right at my doorstep. The Food.....wow. Wow. Wow. The best Lamb Rogan Josh ever!!!! Thanx to Ali and all the staff for becoming me and my collegues at the hospitals new favourite food go to place. Support them and taste the best Oriental food in Jozi.

If you havent already tried it Oriental food Bazaar is a must try. A gentleman by the name Ali, prepared a delicious chicken kahti roll for me Mr Ali your amazing and so is oriental food bazar.... Ooooh weeei mouth watering.

A beautiful place in the heart of Melville, took my daughter for a pre valentines lunch. Ordered the lamb curry as well as a lamb breyani and a cheesy garlic paratha. Food is Devine. Prices are very decent. Make sure to give the a try.

Complete nonsense, serving spicy chilli noodle to 4 year old kids, forgot one meal completely and then gets unfriendly .. stay far away .. not to speak of their disgusting plastic plates .. ice cold, but the waiter doesnt want to close the door, terrible music far too loud,wish I could give 0 stars .. worst dinner experience I had in a very long while

Chicken breyani was terrible. Just chicken and rice with an overpowering taste of Maas. Chicken bunny should be called chicken stew bunny.

Quality, quantity, taste and low price. So much to say.....A must try in Melville, s 7th street.I tried Chicken Tikka and Blesbok sheesh kebab with glass of Sweet Lassi yummi yummi.....
