I still rate Glendower Golf Course one of the top Ten golf courses in South Africa. If you want then Glendower Golf Club is a 5 star golf experience with a world class brilliantly manicured course with most of the longest back tees, beautiful Water based Fairways and Greens. The food is amazing. The atmosphere even better.

This golf course is amazing, one of the best I have played. Its a bit punishing but one can play a good game there. I absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere... 🎊😊👌

Simply fantastic course! With a course of this quality the term manicured does simply not cover it. This course has challenges all round from hole 1 right to the finish. Awesome set up it is clear why this venue gets used for profession golf tournaments.After the round of golf I was welcomed by friendly staff.The beverages halfway and snacks were of top class.There is a great proshop with a wide variety of equipment, clothes and clubs. I managed to grab a pair of shoes and due to my card not working the friendly staff was at hand to help me enter my score, without asking for it! Thumbs up to the grounds man green keeper and all staff working they are doing a fantastic job at one of the greatest courses in the country.I will definitely be coming back to tackle this challenging course again!

Gorgeous golf course deserving of its status as the number one course in Johannesburg. Clubhouse and halfway experience is 5 star. The golf course is just brilliant. Got to play if ur serious about golf. Memorable golf holes and some nasty rough. Stay on the short stuff and u can score well.

Awesome course with great greens

Tough course, penalty areas everywhere. But excellent condition, fairways and greens well kept, the rough is very rough.However, I am never impressed by the Clubhouse. Played here 3 times and all the time we have always been chucked out before we are done on the 19th hole. Feels very exclusionary and discriminatory for non members. I could be wrong, but I am not going back there again in a hurry.

Beautiful and very well maintained course. Typical woodlands style. Can be a bit challenging, especially for the shorter hitters. The par 4s play longer than most other courses. You need to play smart, otherwise you may end up in the water. Very well designed in that sense, strategic play is essential. Halfway house is sit down. They are one of the first courses Ive seen that push ready golf. I.e. Do not wait for the person with the honours. First ready plays. Walking, we finished a round in just under 4 hours. This was a pleasant surprise. Cart booking in advanced is suggested if you need carts.

Course is currently being renovated and the pro shop did not mention this when we booked. Trucks driving around, lots of dust, trenches through the fairways which impacted our 4 ball. Notice upfront would have been appreciated.

Beautiful golf course with very well maintained bathrooms, delicious food at the halfway house. Great course for casual play as well as competitions. Venues for hire for functions as well with a great bar and very friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.

No hazard is ever wasted.Even the long par 4s require some thought.Clubhouse is old school with a touch of tech here and there. Locker rooms are spacious, clean and appealing.Easily in my top 3 courses in jozi as of now.

Had quite a terrible experience at the golf course. We ended up only playing 3 holes. A friend and I were accosted by a four ball behind us who accused us of sneaking in front of them. We were forced to let them through by the martial because they were members. We were barely helped by the staff on duty who didnt even offer us a slot to finish our round. Dont think Ill ever come back.
