Had a bunny chow from your establishment today, was my first time visiting your store and I was not disappointed. Everything was cooked perfectly. It wasnt too spicy or too bland and the bread was very soft and fresh. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly, respectful and helpful. Ill definately be visiting you guys again.

Visited Curry Lounge on a Saturday morning. The lady who took our order was really unfriendly, she didnt smile or ask how are you?. She seemed like she didnt want to be at work but it wasnt a huge issue, everyone has bad days. The owners walked in while we were there, both greeted and also asked if we needed anything during our meal - which was nice. The decor could do with some updating, I can picture it as a proper restaurant as opposed to a takeaway establishment. I was disappointed with my mutton bunny. It had way too much gravy (perhaps half the bunny was just gravy) and too little potato and meat (there was one small potato and three small pieces of meat). Furthermore, the gravy tasted as if they added curry powder and water and heated it up - you could literally taste the masala particles while eating (not impressed). I was happy with the salad given with the bunny and the size of the bunny was above average (this wouldve been good if there was more filling and less gravy). My friend had a toasted mutton sandwich, it was quite dry - maybe think of adding some cheese, sauce or thick gravy.Edit: I dont see how complaining in person wouldve changed my dissatisfaction with my meal. I would suggest being more open to criticism, patrons dont take kindly to owners responding in such an attacking manner.

Hi I am extremely disappointed. I bought from curry lounge before and the food was at least edible. This weekend was not the same. The food was watered downI think they added water to make more gravy. Wrong move. The the prawn curry was clearly stale. Im not sure if the owner thought I actually wouldnt notice. I literally threw away all the food. I dont know why people are complimenting them. There was no flavor at all. Dissatisfied to find such people claim to be good at cooking Indian food

Food is really good, it is much better than standard restaurant curry! The curry tastes like real, authentic Indian curry and you can see all the fresh ingredients. Would definitely go back again!

Ordered masala chips today, got plain chips and only realized this after I got home. I also ordered a mutton roti. It tasted salty and there was hardly any filling inside and little to no curry flavour. Not worth it.

Management has no business ethic. Shouts at his staff in the kitchen - so loud and rude we could hear it from the front of the store.The portions are small. They dish more sauce than meat, looked like soup. I didnt see any potatoes. The staff is not trained properly. Big disappointment. Dont go here.

Stay away from the place if you wanna save your taste buds. The curry is salty and oily, and rice watery. I bought mutton curry for supper, I had to throw it away.

It depends what you order from the restaurant. Some of their meals are absolutely amazing like their breyani special on a Friday. Really worth it. Full of flavour and the salads are great. However their bunny chows are not worth the money. The mutton bunny is about R75. It has great flavour however you only get four pieces of meat. The beans bunny I ordered didnt have any salt and was extremely watery and yellowish in colour. Bread was also ice cold as it had been refrigerated it seems. No dhania to be found in either bunny chow. Bunnys are disappointing but the breyani is amazing. Will definitely visit again for their breyani. Hopefully the bunny chow quality changes.

Always terrible service and out of stock of most of the items. Says closing at 7, but at 6 staff tells us they couldnt make most things as they have put the stoves off. Also 1hr before they close they tell us theyre only doing take aways.

I am unhappy with the service. Went I side the shop at 4.50pm Placed my order for samoosas a dozen and food only to be told first that the fryer is off. We then said we will just have the curried she placed order and let it go through on the teller only the to be told then that there is no sit in as they close at 5.30 we are regular customers and to be told this. Customers come first to my knowledge and service. We owl not buy again ever for them due to this. I askedfor the owners details and they gave a rcpt with a cellwhich I tried 15 times and it does not even ring Terrible service

Not good! Staff unfriendly and not particularly welcoming. Lamb curry consist of 85% rice and 15% meat and a half a potato. Just paid close to a R100 for essentially a bowl of rice. Not happy, you will get more value from a can of baked beans!
