Update. I have been contacted by the manager and the issues adressed. I have returned for a 2nd visit and the service and cleanliness is much better. This felt like the trusted Spur experience I am used to.I decided to order the chicken nachos for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The overall meal was great as always.I have added a ✴️Previously:At first glance I was exited to see a Spur that I havent seen before. The setup is quite tight and this is probably onw of the smallest ranches Ive walked into. Sadly it appears that I got a new waiter that seems to be still finding their feet in this industry.The table I was seated at had a dry icecream stain on it, first time for me in a Spur that I experience this in a long time. The coffee arrived a bit cold and tasted weak compared to what I am use to.The play area is also little cramped, but based on the seating capacity makes sense, everything appears at a glance to be in working order.

Its been a long time since I had anything from spur. The special for R65 with a burger chips and onion rings was insane. Totally happy with the quality, Sylvester (waiter) was super friendly, be sure to tip generously! Enough sauces, cooked to perfection and definitely hit the spot. this is my new favourite spur and will look forward to another experience dining at this one! WELL DONE!

Spur has not lost its tradition of being a family restaurant. Youll need earplugs or a strong tolerance for the excited screaming. The kids loved the play area; all races in one excited group of being chased by the monster . A wonderful evening. But the patrons were few and far between. The reason for the okay rating is the cost. Prices seem to have doubled since the start of the pandemic. Its no wonder so few people support what used to be a South African traditional outing for a family

Had lunch at Ottawa Creek today and had an awesome time I had Ribs and it was fantastic.It was wonderful to see all the kids with there smily faces enjoying the kids area and the jumping castle outside .Great service from David 👍.We will be back soon.

We had a birthday party for my friends daughter. The children enjoyed and the stuff was friendly and served us well.Please bring the Spur birthday song, the staff at Ottawa Creek Spur sang but I think the Spur birthday song is nicer.

Friendly staff and the food was good but when I asked for salt and black pepper grinders, they didnt have a salt grinder and the pepper grinder did not work and looked distinctly unhygienic.

Its spur nothing special. Over priced and steak are never done the way you like it. Its raw or overcooked always. Im boycotting spur i can get beter value for my money elsware at half the price. Spur can close down for all i care all i knoe is they will never see me again

The Food was horrible, this is the fourth Spur I have been to in a period of a month and this one was definitely not the Spur standard. The steak was tasteless and dry instead of Juicy and tasty. The chicken filets were sogy and oily 🤢🤢. The drinks were good enjoyed by Strawberry milkshake. Our waitress gave great service throughout our stay which was commendable, after we received over food she went and sat down to eat while we needed sauces so we kinda felt bad disturbing her so we asked another waitress which didnt seem happy at all to help us.

The play area is wonderful and the lady watching the children is lovely. I had a rare chance to enjoy a meal while the little ones play. Food and service was 5/5 as well👌🏻

I ordered through Mr Delivery. One option I choose was a garlic roll. When it arrived it was absolutely disgusting. The bread roll was hard and hardly any flavor. All this for R40.95. I dont think so! Perhaps review your prices. That amount for a small hotdogs roll is disgusting.

Im not a fan of Spur, as I feel they are overpriced and I dont fit their target market (parents with young kids), but decided to go for nachos. These were the best nachos Ive ever had, better than any other Spur too.

I was very disappointed today, the cuppacino I ordered was horrible, it was dark and not creamy at all. It didnt even look like they used milk to make it.

The food was average, even acceptable. But the service was one of the absolute worst I have ever experienced at a spur. We waited to be helped, was not acknowledged by our waitress, it wasnt even busy and it took over an hour for our breakfast to be served. Really not impressed at all.

Popped into lunch with my granddaughter as she wanted somewhere to play as well .Was pleasantly surprised .We had a lovely tasty lunch .the waitron was lovely , so friendly and helpful. The lady looking after the play area was amazing sticking to Covid protocol kept sanitizing the equipment as the children moved around .sanitized door handles all the time . And very good with the kids. Recommend to anyone with kids .

We had such a wonderful experince! Noncebo, our waitron, was so tentative and kind! She even split our waffle without being asked to because we shared one. Really great service and food team!

Went to the spur at Karaglen and was treated to great service and excellent food... I had the cheesy garlic prawns as a starter and my wife had the nachos. Both absolutely divine! Cant wait to go back... might just be there for breakfast... oh and not to forget the divine desserts....Yummy!

I didnt enjoy my visit as the only fish available was hake or calamari, no kingklip or soles or any other fish, the sirloin was tough and not tender and although we were assured that the sirloin had a thin layer of fat on the side, unfortunately that was not the case, should have gone elsewhere

Not enough waiters on Sat. Mornings. Not enough tables or space indoors. Staff and kitchen staff try hard, but cannot cope.Eggs not fried as required. Bacon not properly done. No butter knives. Shortage of salt, pepper & sauces.Very noisy. To make matters worse, music is deafening. It is too noisy to have ANY music.I will NOT go there again.

Unreal breakfast is good quality for money

This place is always packed which is why probably the service was quite slow. Their vegetarian menu seemed very limited but I guess this restaurant is well known for their ribs. The food was good.

Good service, food was unfortunately cold by the time it got to our table. Burger patties are not the same as they used to be.
