The food was to die for, staff perfect the chef is really doing a great job keep it up.

Enjoy going to Lupa for dinner, this time I tried the Stuffed Trio pasta - which is a combination of three different types of stuffed pasta tossed in a butter sage sauce.The meal was delicious and rich -Perfect for a cold day i did however feel that it was a bit pricey at R125 for the portion below.

Friendly staff and quick service. Compared to other Lupas however the food quality was disappointing. The pork ribs was a complete rip off at R330.00. Sadly wont be back a second time.

Decent atmosphere and service but the food was really bad, drowning in oil. We’ve also waited for the food way too long. Not worth the price at all.

I ordered the sole, generous portion consisting of 2 well prepared large sole on a bed of mash and spinach which helped the flavor, as sole is a bland tasting fish in my opinion. The missus had the seafood marinara pasta, once again, a generous portion, prawn, mussels and calamari done just right, pasta and sauce was decent.Restaurant was extremely quiet so service was good.

This is the best Lupa experience I have ever had. The service is excellent! All the staff are friendly and attentive to all customers. The food was amazing! The mushroom beef fillet and baby chicken were cooked to perfection and we were served a generous portion too. Overall a 5 star experience and would go back anytime!

The food was great besides the shortage of jug after finishing our food and drinks that we ordered we ended up leaving after requesting water and the lady who was helping us was saying she is still trying to get the jug in order to give us lemon water that we requested.

Had s birthday lunch here with a large group. The service was excellent. Starter platters arrived hot, tasty and generous.Mains however were a mixed bag with the vegetarian option having a sprinkling of bacon, very tasty but definitely not for the vegetarians. The chicken limone was small, overcooked and the sides took way too long to come. All the o the mains were good. Creme brule was tasty but no snap. Kitchen staff seemed overwhelmed but the waiters compensated for this.We were allowed to take in decor and a cake and that was appreciated.

Very enthusiastic staff...it actually rubs off and you find yourself smiling and happier. The Alfredo was mouth watering!!! I forgot I was on diet even *hides*

The street of restaurants puts you on a winning streak. Steak, fish, pizza, poultry and all in one space.

Ate here on a Sunday for lunch, there was live music and Chris was our waiter, a very charismatic one at that.The restaurant is situated in the heart of umhlanga on Chartwell drive. The place has a great ambience and the service staff are pleasant and serve you without being too present.We had the sea food platter as well as a few starters which definitely were amazing, the only starter I didn’t enjoy was the dusted calamari(just tasted like deep fried stuff)Facilities are clean and they allow for corkage Incase you want to bring your own wine or champagne. Beer selection is also fantastic.Will definitely go back there when I’m in umhlanga again.

Chose Lupa for lunch because they have a vegan burger and a vegan pizza. Was exited to try the Green Burger with the Beyond meat patty. Unfortunately they did not have the vegan mozzarella or the vacon to complete the burger and pizza. I had the green burger anyways with extra mushrooms, it was just ok. It would have been better with all the ingredients on it.

We had a light lunch at Lupa Osteria. My husband had the woodroasted hake and I had calamari with a lemoncello sauce - both delicious! The service is excellent and the staff very friendly and professional. It was a lovely experience and a good start to our holiday.

Had the chicken marsala with side penne with creamy parmesan sauce, It was absolutely brilliant!! Bursting perfectly with flavour...

Went in for early lunch, really nice setting, really warm waiters, gluten free option on the menu, gluten free pizza was not available monday, but we had the melazane and an alternate options, very well prepared and really tasty, served with freshly shaved parmesan, it was realy reasonable for the quality and the service. Paid with Zapper.

Service and food was excellent. But I must admit its very pricey but I think worth it.

Italy in umhlanga, the crumb veal and char grill steak is melt in the mouth, good range of cocktails. Only negative words will be that they need to serve more vegetables with the meals.

I took my husband there for his 60th birthday. What a disappointment. Great service, but the pasta wasnt great and is vastly overpriced. Could just be we are fussy as we make our own pasta at home, but we were not impressed at all.

Really enjoyed this Restaurant, food arrived quickly, we received good service from our waitron, the lasagne, zucchini fries, veges, spagetti and meatballs and the nutella crepes were just the best. One star less as food was slightly cold, but cant wait to go back again. The Kingklip and prawns also had great flavours, not the usual boring garlic butter poured over.Great atmosphere.

I was looking forward to our sit down meal today. Was told only good things about the restaurant.But, upon entering the restaurant, the waiter who took us to our table who was also the one serving us, did not wear his mask properly.Then, as I looked around, numerous staff did the exact same thing. Even the staff pouring drinks and preparing the food. Masks only covering part of their mouth. All seats also aren’t spaced out to adhere to social distancing.I totally get it!! It is difficult to wear the masks, but, it’s a small price to pay to ensure customers are comfortable, at ease and feel safe it the restaurant.The next thing: The balsamic fillet with avo meal says it comes with risotto. Then, at the bottom it lists options to choose a side...one side.The waiter said....if we take the risotto and choose ONE side, we get charged extra for that side. So, it’s either the rice that is listed on the actual line of the meal with the price next to it, OR choose something else. But if you choose something else, you get charged for it.The food is expensive, good, but expensive!!! And, I had to pay it while feeling constantly uncomfortable.I am giving them a 4 star for the fillet

Worst eating experience of my life. Langoustine pasta turned out to be shrimp.Lamb chops was like rubber. My wife and I walked of restaurant not eating. Asked to talk to owner but manager just zeroed bill.

We went there for a special occasion and my mother had purposely booked a specific table for our group. Low and behold, when we arrived a few minutes late, we see that they had already given our table away. No phonecall to check that we were still coming or anything...quite disappointing...also, their vegetarian options were a bit limiting.

I don’t often give a place 5 stars, because I believe there is always room for improvement. However, in this case I cannot name a single thing they could’ve done differently.Went “restaurant window shopping” on our first night on holiday and ended up at Lupa.The service was excellent. Can’t remember the last time we had such great service - thank you to Mike for making this a relaxed evening. I can never understand how restaurants don’t realise the value of service - in this case they definitely do. All the staff at Lupa were helpful and attentive and well trained.The food was superb: the Langoustine pasta is every bit as delicious as it sounded; my daughters were super impressed with the gluten free pizza bases; the balsamic and avo fillet was the absolute star of the evening. Have never tasted anything like it before.DO NOT MISS the Cremino al Cioccolato! It is the best dessert you will ever have.They also make the best Aperol Spritz in Umhlanga.We did go back 2 days later for a quick lunch- great experience and food all over again. We even re-tested the Aperols and were not disappointed. This time there was the Meaty pizza, Risotto, Ribs and gluten free Lupa pasta on the table. Every single dish delicious.Well worth going! Well done, Lupa!

I ordered the veal Marsala with mash, it was horrid the sauce was tasteless full of oil and the mash was disgusting also soaked in oil. I complained to the waitress and the manager did not even come and see me.

A nice quality Italian restaurant in the village, that does the classics well, but also innovates with some great signature dishes. Service is efficient and friendly. The environment is conducive to both ad hoc meetings during the day to relaxing with friends and family in the evening
