I have eaten at the Phoenix Plaza and Mount Edgecombe.. I always ordered my favorite mixed grill platter.. And every time it was divine.. But at this one... It was horrendous.. It was so spicy one could believe the chef was hiding his/her pathetic cooking skills behind the spice.. All u taste is the hotness.. That is it.. No taste of the chicken.. Steak.. Nothing only the peri peri spices.. Better of eating just a plate of chillies..

Some very authentic Indian food. Their pricing is a amazing, super value for money. Be prepared to wait a bit though for your takeaways, but in the end its really really worth it.We enjoy curry, and we seek it out wherever we can. And this was some of the very best weve had anywhere.Nice location too, right near the beach and central to all the beachfront hotels.Try their Aloo paratha. And their Paneer Tikka. Superb!

Meals are well prepared and tasty. Especially kebabs and chicken. Steak just OK as it was like rubber. We had the mixed grill for R85. Just the one roti is not enough for this lovely dish.

The food was good as always.Presentation could use some work, but we visited just after the riots, so I understand.Price is the best part. Very affordable and very good portions.

Their chicken tikka is good, it’s mild and not too spicy so children can also enjoy it. Their salad is very disappointing, and their fried potato chips aren’t pleasant. They should also improve their sauces (tomato and chili sauce).The waitresses are always smiling and attentive 👌🏽

All the way from GP n one thing on the to do list in Durban was have Indian cuisine and boy did they not hold back. Delicious and original Indian food i have never had before... A must visit and n prices are beyond reasonable lol...

We bought to take out, every thing is now in plastic bags. Absolutely disliked that. Salad was with the roti and chips. Chips became cold and hard. Salad was watery. One had only lettuce in it. Not worth it at all sadly. Used to enjoy their food.

Had some friends with so we went there for a late night meal. The place seems slightly worn out to a previous visit, but the food was extremely good. I had the chicken jalfrezi with garlic naan which was humongous and my friend the mutton curry and rice.We could share of each others order.His wife took the chicken tikka. The waitress seemed a bit unsure and did not know her menu well.Sadly they did not have ice cream which was in the menu.The toilets was acceptable but could have done with a good clean, but then it was late in the evening.They serve take outs from an outside window. I like a good cup of coffee or cappuccino, but they only have the quick instant kind, something they should consider improving.

Great tasting Indian cuisine

Most Delicious Copper Chimney more like the worst copper chimney or even the worst restaurant that Ive ever been to in my life.I ordered Soji Halwa because I cannot eat any solid food but the waitress does not inform us that there is not Soji. I drove from Johannesburg to Durban and then i basically had to go to bed on at empty stomach because even when they finally did bring the Soji it was so horrible I threw up just by the look of it! Please dont ever make the mistake of eating at the place

Ordered chicken biryani, was served rice simply tossed in oil and raw masala with 1 piece of poultry. According to the restaurant manager thats their style of biryani.

The food was delicious. Rarely disappoints. However, staff need better workplace skills. Waitresses and the manager were arguing in front of consumers. Staff need better customer service. They dont speak well to consumers. Sets a dampening mood.

This is a busy beachfront restaurant. A good variety on their menu. We were a family of 6 any everyone had a great tasty meal.For those that arent into super-hot food and curries but still want a flavoursome taste of Indian cuisine, this is definitely the place for you. At first glance, you may think that the portions are small but dont be fooled, you get much more than you think. Copper Chimney is always generous with their portions. They got daily 2 for 1 specials on different menu items is a nice way to enjoy their tasty food while going easy on your wallet. A few tasty vegetarian options, including paneer. Our experience was fabulous.

Service was really good. I felt welcomed. The staff was friendly and smiled. Unlike at MY DINERS where the staff treat you as if they are doing you a favor. Food was really good. The portions where big. Once again unlike my diners where they overcharge for smaller portions. I really recommend this place.

What a lovely experience of taste! Friendly staff and fast service. Definitely the best mutton burger I have ever tasted!

The Pakistani lamb breyani and lamb bunny chow are my favorites. I must however express that I was extremely disappointed with their parathas as the fillings are a bare minimum leaving you with mostly unsatisfied bread and butter taste in your mouth.

The Bombay Crushes were awesome.However once served, the service was non-existent. Cleared our own table and almost got to the point of walking out without paying due to nobody around to hande the payment.All the staff and owners were rude and very loud with constant loud screaming, preparing other tables while we waited for service. Eventually just got up and walked out to the front after even standing at the till with the owner next to me did not elicit any service.Terrible service, terrible atmosphere - but those Bombay Crush drinks - very awesome.

Visited Copper Chimney as we craved their tikka chicken. Service was slightly slow but when the food arrived it was fresh and exactly what we were hoping for. They run a few good specials as well - make sure you have time on your hands. Go hungry
