Went there today for some sushi ended up having the build your own platter for R119 service was great and the sushi was even better would very highly recommend John Dorys Bluff they also have a Wednesday half price sushi special thats a big hit if your a sushi lover this is the place to be

We were told that the kitchen had just closed but after chatting to the store manager, they made a plan & allowed us entry.We enjoyed a sumteous well prepared dinner which ultimately made up for the inclement weather on our date night

Our go-to place for quality & value for half price sushi on Wednesdays.Not sure about the other days / dishes.One cant go wrong with fish though!

Terrible. Service today. The staff was extremely rude especially the manager. No one greeted us at the door. We sat ourselves down. Our waitress didnt even introduce herself we had no idea who was serving us and had to call for service after being seated for 15minutes.Next the food comes. The steak was old, mature and of very poor quality.Had to be sent back after specifically discussing with the waitress as promised that the steak will be soft. It wasnt at all. To top it off the tomato sauce was rotten /fermentated and basically off which I had eaten. I Could not get any service to send the food back.Our waitress did not even come back to check not even once. Yet had seen us. She absolutely had no interest. Had to flag down staff as some of them were on their phones.Very very poor service. Id please ask the superior in charge to look into this as I havent experienced terrible service like this in years.SincerelyDR SHAWN G

Setmrvice was good, food was good, portions ok, however, we ordered two cheesy garlic rolls and got two small hamburger buns with about 2 Tablespoonfuls of cheese over the top. Cost us R60 for two buns with cheese and cheap margarine with a hint of garlic. Daylight robbery!!! I was not impressed. Also we specifically wanted cheesy poppers and they were out of stock. Last time the same thing too.

Food was fresh and tasty

After being down the coast we had a lovely meal, ordered exactly the same, taste here was bland, the salad which clearly comes with meal, was basically tomato, red onion, olives, feta, the drinks, was a nightmare as the staff seemed unsure, our waiter Mike being on his first day was the best thing, of the evening. The tiolet facility as well did not tick a box. We love john dorys, just this branch didnt satisfy

Most pathetic place Ive been to in years, at this day and age to be sitting in a restaurant with no air-conditioning was uncomfortable. While waiting for our food a fish and chips sign fell on a 2 or 3 year old baby while being carried by her dad in their seat. Once the drinks came we requested sweeteners which came after our drinks were half way through. The toast and sauces came 10minutes after our meal arrived. The sausages were terrible, toast was also short and other tables got served before us. Im very upset as its my dads and sisters birthday. I wont ever come back here or recommend this branch.

Very nicely laid out. Nice and clean. Friendly atmosphere. Service quality could improve however. Otherwise, I would recommend Bluff John Dorys.

I have eaten here at least once a month for the last year with my girlfriend and seen some of the staff turn from trainees to experts. The service is wonderful every time we visit and we always feel very welcome. Dont even get me started on the AMAZING quality if the food here!

Service received was okay

The reason I gave it three stars is because I ate there twice now and the service awful. I did bring it to the establishments attention but fell to deaf ears. I wont be eating there again. By the way, the food was not bad...
